Jesse stood in front of the entrance for awhile, looking into her town. She walked through the entrance and was immediately attacked by parrots. Jesse tried to fight them off but there was a lot. Petra helped Jesse fight the parrots. They both tried to figure out where they came from when Stampy walked into view. He had parrots on his arms. Jesse attempted to explain that she was Jesse but Stampy wasn't buying it. Xara decided to step in.
"Listen cat boy, there is a mentality unstable man with powers pretending to be the town leader. That isn't Jesse up there. For crying out loud, have you seen the eyes!" Xara told him. Stampy seemed a bit confused and took a look at Jesse. She didn't have the same red and yellow eye's as the Jesse up there. She had Jesse's actual eyes.
"Oh, how did I not realize that...Jesse I'm so sorry!" He told her.
"It's fine Stampy." Jesse told Stampy.
Stampy offered to let her borrow the parrots to face the imposter. Jesse declined the offer but thanked him. Jesse and the gang made their way to the tower. Jesse said she'd go up there to talk with Romeo since he still thinks that they are working together. The group agreed to let her do that, unaware that they really were still working together. Jesse made her way up to speak with Romeo while everyone else tried to take care of things, and Xara was waiting outside, wanting to speak to Romeo if she got the chance. When Jesse got up to Romeo she looked at him in the form of her, facing away from where Jesse came in.
"Ok that's just creepy." Jesse said.
Romeo turned towards her and turned to his regular form. "I suppose it's a little unsettling." He said. "Jesse, how do you do it, how do you run this place! It's surprisingly difficult. The people are so demanding!" Romeo told her.
"I know! Honestly it's so frustrating! They expect me to be able to do anything. Sometimes I really need time to myself." Jesse said agreeing with Romeo.
"It's not like I could do this how I want to. I need to limit myself a lot so the people will actually believe I'm you. Honestly I have more appreciation for the work you have to deal with on a daily basis." Romeo said.
Jesse nodded. "Thanks. So when should we start with the fake betrayals. How will I pretend to betray my friends then pretend to betray you instead? We can figure out the real betrayal later. In fact I already have something in mind but you'll need to wait to hear that." Jesse told Romeo.
Romeo thought for a moment. "Maybe use a sword to pretend to hurt them and grab them but then flip it around to you trying to attack me and maybe throw some insults at me or something. I'll throw some back." Romeo suggested to Jesse.
"That sounds good...though insulting you...I don't like doing that...even if it is just an act..." Jesse admitted and looked down.
Romeo chuckled at what she admitted. "Aw that's sweet of you Jesse. Do not worry though. I promise it's fine. As long as you don't mean it." He smiled at her. "Now I say we go down now together. We can start the first step now." Romeo said and turned back into Jesse's form.
Jesse was unsettled by that but who wouldn't be? They both went down and talked about random things that sounded serious but was really just nonsense as they walked down. When Xara heard them she gathered up the group. Jesse and Romeo both came out.
The group pretended to be surprised that they came out together and Xara was going to ask.
"Uh...Jesse? What's going on..? What are you doing with..." Xara glares at Romeo "HIM." She asked acting like she didn't know.
Romeo nudged Jesse forward. "Tell them friend, how this was all a set up. That you don't like them and I'm your new bestie!" Romeo said grinning.
Petra chimed in. "Jesse...that's not true...is it?" She asks with false fear in her voice.
Jesse smiled at Petra. "I'm afraid it is. I realized I don't need any of you. You all just held me back. And Xara, you are absolutely stupid to have ever went against somebody like Romeo here." Jesse said
Romeo ordered that Jesse attack her friends and she started swinging her sword at them and of course the group dodged it as Jesse wasn't trying too hard to actually hit them. She pointed her sword at Xara and Romeo grinned thinking but not thinking she would attack the ex admin. Jesse then turned around and tackled Romeo to the ground and held her sword to him. Romeo turned back to his normal form and pretended to try and fight off Jesse and pretended he was actually struggling.
"What is the meaning of this!" He demanded to know while "desperately" trying to get her off him.
Jesse felt slight embarrassment about the fact she was pretty much on top of Romeo but it didn't show. "You actually thought I'd be your friend!? After everything you did to me! You honestly believed I would betray my friends for you!? How dumb are you! You're the most idiotic and cruel person I've ever met! You think you're so tough and great, but you are nothing! NOTHING!" Jesse yelled the last part but inside, saying all those things pained her greatly.
Romeo almost wanted to cry after hearing what she said as despite knowing it was staged, it still hurt. He pushed her off him making it look like it was forceful but it wasn't. He floated up and glared at Jesse. "I don't know why I even bothered with you. It's clear that no matter what I do for you you'll always choose those sad excuses for good friends! I don't know why I decided to give you another chance! I don't know why I trusted you! You are a disappointment to everyone and nothing more then a mistake! Nothing about you is great in the slightest. YOU'RE JUST A PATHETIC HUMAN WHO NOBODY WILL EVER TRULY LIKE!" He yelled.
Jesse didn't like hearing that and had to suppress tears. Romeo teleported away back up the tower.
Jesse's friends were proud of her. Now the only thing left they had to do was stop Romeo. Though that wouldn't go as they would expect. It would be much much different.
