Who's that?

Kyra's POV

I went inside and up to my room, once my door was shut I sat down on my bed and unfolded the paper Mark had given me. I looked up the address he had written, it was to an apartment in the city. Great.

I sat my laptop down on the bed next to me, I needed to clear my head so I went outside and sat on the back porch.

A couple minutes later the back door opened and my mom came out, "Where have you been?"

"Out" I said with out looking at her.

"Why'd you take my car without even letting me know?" She said, obviously pissed off.

"I'm sorry, it was an emergency." I replied as I got up and walked past her into the house; I really didn't feel like arguing with her right now.

I went to the kitchen and got myself a big bowl of cereal, Fruity Pebbles, my favorite. I hadn't realized how hungry I was, but it had a been a long, and odd day.

I took it up to my room and sat at my desk. I got back on my computer, I went to Facebook and scrolled for a while, until I saw something kinda odd. The bank near my had been robbed the night before, that wasn't the weird part. The group that had robbed them made quite an impression, and their leader gave a speech in the process. There was a video link at the bottom of the post, I clicked on it immediately.
Four people walked in carrying big sod-off shotguns, they shot up at the ceiling and told everyone to get on the ground. Everyone did just just that. They had on red ski-masks, and black gloves; to cover up prints I'm guessing. The biggest of the group walked up to counter, he must have said something because the lady let him in the back. One of the others followed him and the other two stayed up front and kept an eye on everyone.
Suddenly one the men fell to the ground, and a bullet ripped through the other man's skull. Neither of them had time to react. A pale, attractive, tall man with short shaggy green hair. His lips were bright red, almost as if he were wearing lipstick. He had on a tight black shirt to show off his muscles, plain black jeans, and classy looking dress shoes. There was one odd thing, he had on purple gloves instead of regular simple black ones. All-in-all, he was dressed to kill. He climbed onto the counter as everyone was freaking out and held the AK 47 up in the air and shot, "Ladies... Gentleman... Welcome to the show! Nowww, who's next? Any volunteers?"

The two men that had gone to get the money from the back ran in. "What the fuck is going on?" He yelled waving is gun around. As he scanned the room he saw his men laying lifeless on the floor, blood puddling around their heads, and then he looked up to see their 'partner' or the person that was supposed to be their partner holding a gun that was now aimed right at the hooded man's head.
"Get down from there right now."

"Five, four, three, two." The green haired man said painstakingly slow as he put two fingers up on his hand.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked motioning towards the two dead guys.

"Cause I wanted to-" he jumped down and shot the man behind him, leaving only the biggest hood left. The hood leader felt the bullet whiz right past his ear and heard it as it sank into the other man's forehead. "And it's fun" he exclaimed with a genuine, haunting smile.

"One. One bullet left."

The hooded man started to back away, but not quick enough. A bullet was sent right through his chest, he fell backwards onto the floor and stayed there.

The bags of money were sitting on the floor next to the bodies, he picked them up and sat them all in the middle of the floor in one big pile, except for one that he threw over his shoulder.

"Thank you all for being such a wonderful audience, but bad news, I gotta go. I know, I know. Don't be too upset, I did leave a present. There's a bomb about to go off under your feet, so enjoy!" He yelled and quickly got a lighter out and lit the money on fire. He headed toward a small door at the back of the bank and made his way out quickly. People scrambled off the floor and headed toward the front doors. Nothing ever exploded. He had lied about the bomb to create chaos...

I exited the video and sat there for a minute. I decided to just not think about it anymore so I got up, put my bowl away and got ready for bed.

I crawled into my blanket, bundled myself up, and closed my eyes. I tried to think of something positive but all I could think of was that guy from the bank. Who was he? I soon drifted off to sleep, with him still on my mind.

Dream---
I was walking down an abandoned looking street, I was lost big time. I also felt like someone was following me, I kept looking behind me but no one was there. I heard an odd noise coming from the alleyway across the street, I told myself to ignore it and keep walking.

My curiosity got the best of me, I crossed the street and stopped at the entrance of the alley, it was too dark to really make anything out. The noise sounded like someone was running sharp metal against the side of the concrete buildings, and it was getting closer.

A tall, bulky shadow became visible, it was only a few feet from me. A man stepped across the threshold of the alley. He was much taller than me and he was armed with a crowbar that had been sharpened on both ends.

I tried to back away but in one quick motion, he whipped the crowbar around my waist grabbing the other side so I was stuck in a box of sorts. I felt the cold metal through my shirt. He pulled me up against him, looking down at me with a murderous smile and unreadable eyes.

"Well, I'm here dollface, now what?"
His voice threateningly sweet.

"Who are you...?" I stammered, the fear flowing into my words.

"Aww sweetums, don't ask such cruel questions." He leaned down as if he were about to kiss me but instead he whispered in my ear, "You can call me Z" he lingered there a few seconds, I could feel his hot breath on my neck.
He released his grip on me, but we stayed where we were.

For some reason I didn't want to let go, he was warm and I felt safe in his arms.
He pulled the crowbar up to my neck as he took a small step back. The metal felt strange as he slid it across my neck, he wasn't putting enough force for it to hurt me, just enough so that I knew it was sharp.

"Are you scared?" He asked pulling away from me entirely.

"Should I be scared?" I asked trying to sound brave but it came out more like me trying to flirt than anything else.

"Doll, you should be." He said with a wicked grin and a wink, and he started to turn around, "tootaloo kiddo, I'll be seeing you real soon" he said with a wave before disappearing into the darkness of the alley once again.

I opened my eyes and saw that it was 4:03AM. I sat up in bed and thought about the odd dream I'd just had. I laid back down, I had bigger things to worry about than a man I didn't even know.

Morning

I turned over in my bed, I saw the sun shining through the curtains, showing all the dust particles flying around my room above my head. I looked over at my alarm clock, 5:58, it would go off at six. I hated waking up before the alarm went off.

I sat up on the edge of the bed and turned the alarm off. I got dressed and grabbed my backpack, I really wasn't sure if I should go to school today, but I thought it would be best to keep my mind off everything whenever and however I could.

I walked downstairs and saw that my mom hadn't been down yet, which was odd because she always makes herself breakfast before she goes to work. I honestly didn't care though.

-At school, End of the day-

I walked into my last block and noticed a new guy sitting in my seat, he had bright red hair and neat thick rimmed glasses. He had on a fancy black vest over a long sleeve crimson dress shirt.

I didn't want to deal with anyone today, especially not some preppy pretty boy, so I just sat on the other side of the room. He made eye contact with me as I sat down, I tried to ignore it because he was giving me the creeps.

After what felt like the longest lesson of my life, the bell finally rang. I grabbed my stuff and made a dash for the door but I was pushed over to the side of the door. The red headed kid had shoved me aside and was now blocking me from leaving.

He had blood red eyes, they didn't look like contacts either.

"What the fuck?" I said, angrier and more annoyed than I had been all day.

"Just wait. We need to talk." He had a smooth voice, and a slight accent, I had not expected him to sound like that at all.

I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms, "I have to be somewhere soon, make this quick."

Mr. West was the only one left in the room with us, but he was too busy on his computer to notice that we were still standing there.

"My name is Cliff, and I really just needed to tell you something; you are gorgeous." He said in a somewhat cocky sounding way.

I was pissed, "Why the fuck did shove me and trap me in here to tell me that? Did you really think that was a good idea?"

He looked Genuinely hurt, "Why yes, how else was I gonna get you alone?"

"We aren't alone." I said bluntly.

Cliff held his wrist up, he had a big fancy silver watch on. He pressed a button on the side, I heard it click; then a what looked like a small blue pill with one sharp side popped out of a little hole into his hand. He held it up to me, "We will be."

He proceeded to press another button on the watch that made a tiny compartment on the bottom slide out, he sat the pill in it and it immediately closed. He pressed the same button he had pressed first and quickly turned around, aiming the watch at Mr. West. I watched as the pill shot like a bullet out of the watch and straight into his shoulder. He barely had time to react before his whole body went Limp and his head slammed down onto the computer's keyboard.

I was now terrified, Cliff looked back to me as if he hadn't done anything wrong.  "Boo, don't tell me you're scared. That'd be so boring. You're just like everyone else... Can't handle anything different." He stepped back and gave me some space, I wanted so badly to just bolt out the door but I knew it wouldn't be a good idea.

"Is it the eyes?" He asked slowly stepping right up against me again. "It's always the eyes..." Cliff grabbed my wrists and held them behind my back with one hand.

I don't know what was wrong with me, I didn't want to fight back. I didn't like what he was doing but I couldn't do anything about it.
