___FINALLY BACK__

"Who are you texting, Coco?" Lennox whispered, leaning towards his uncle with the intention of glancing at Jericho's phone screen.

Jericho was completely engrossed in the light conversation he was having with Daisy through texting, that he nearly forgot his surroundings.

"A friend." Jericho whispered back, typing his last message before he tucked his phone in the front pocket of his dark jeans. "What did I miss?"

Playing with the green peas on his plate, Lennox had a bored expression on his face. "Nothing. Grandpa keeps talking about business."

Jericho shook his head lightly, before pulling his phone back out and handing it to his nephew. "There are a few games on there, but don't buy anything."

Lennox's face went from a bored expression to a excited grin, as he scrolled through all the games. "This is why you're the best, uncle Coco."

Jericho chuckled. "I try, and I succeed."

"If you are not going to listen Jericho, then at least keep your mouth shut." Linus barked, throwing a glare at his youngest son.

Jericho rolled his eyes, but that didn't sit well with his father. "You think you don't have to listen to me, just because you have your own business, but without my money you would have been nothing! You'd be the bastard child you really are. "

"Linus!" Alec glared at his father-in-law. "Don't speak like that in front of Lennox."

"I'll leave before this get's out of hand." Jericho stood from the table, throwing his napkin on his untouched plate.

This happened every weekend. Jericho would set Linus off with his disinterested attitude and that would rile up a big argument. But still they continued to have these weekly dinners, because family was family and you couldn't chose your family.

"Here's your phone." Lennox said quietly, passing back the expensive phone.

"I'll see you next week, buddy." Jericho kissed the boy on top of his head.

"I'm leaving. You can stop yelling at each other." Jericho announced, pulling on his jacket and grabbing the car keys from the front pocket.

"I'm not done with you, boy." Linus jumped out of his chair, trying to block Jericho's way out.

"Too bad." Jericho checked the time on his phone, purposely agitating his father even further. "I'm leaving, so if you could move that'd be nice."

"You better not be going to hang with that poor low life. She's nothing and Mavericks' only associate with upper class people. I better not see you two together again, and you better not do otherwise, or else."

That caught Jericho's attention, and the billionaire was furious. Glaring at his father, Jericho towered over the short chubby man. "I'll do what I want, when I want and you better not think about laying a fucking finger on her. If anything happens to her, I'll send you to prison my damn self."

Jericho had had enough. Storming out the mansion, he jumped into his sleek black car, before pulling out the large driveway and speeding off his father's estate.

.

Stepping into his penthouse apartment, Jericho had blew off a good amount of steam on the drive there. Unbuttoning his white dress shirt, he made his way into the master bathroom. Throwing his shirt in the hamper, and doing the same with his remaining clothes, he hopped under the rainforest shower. The hot water pelted against Jericho's skin, down his tense shoulders, passed his tattooed torso and his muscled legs.

Jericho hated how Linus always brought up that Jericho was an illegitimate child. It was the fact that Linus always threw it in Jericho's face, just to anger in him and embarrass him when in fact it was Linus who had had a mistress, despite having a loyal wife at the time.

Jericho's mother had been Linus's housekeeper, and after falling pregnant with Jericho, she gave birth to him, before dropping him on Linus's and Marie's doorstep.

Marie was Linus's wife at the time. She was the mother of Cooper, Jericho's older brother, and Alyssa, Linus's youngest child. Marie had passed away nearly a decade ago and ever since then Linus had been miserable, constantly budding in his children's lives.

And then Linus had the nerve to threaten not only him, but also Daisy. Jericho's private affairs didn't concern Linus and it be best for the old man if he kept his fingers far from them.

Laying in bed, Jericho wondered if Daisy was still awake. After the disaster dinner that evening, Jericho wanted to get his mind completely off of his father and onto something pleasant. It was nearing ten-thirty, when Jericho finally decided to send her a short message.

I hope you're excited for our date tomorrow. -Jericho xx

The following day Jericho had planned to take Daisy to a fashion show. The fashion show that was advertised all over the city. It was the one they had briefly talked about on their first date. Jericho had to admit that was the best date he had been on. After the carnival they were forced to walk in the rain, which was more fun than it seemed. And as the night had come to an end, Daisy had relaxed just enough to minimize her stutter. Jericho liked that she had a stutter and that it was slowly minimizing, because for him it was calming to know that Daisy was slowly getting used to the idea of them. That she was slowly getting used to Jericho's presence.

After a week of not seeing each other, tomorrow would be their second date and Jericho had to admit that he was slightly nervous.

I am. Where & when should we meet? -Daisy

Jericho smiled, the butterflies in his stomach fluttering at Daisy's quick reply.

I'll pick you up around 6 at your place. -Jericho xx

Sounds good :) -Daisy

Jericho didn't know what to respond with. It was weird for him to be jittery and anxious. He hadn't felt those two things since he first met Tori.

I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow -Daisy

Goodnight Daisy ;) -Jericho xx

Night :D -Daisy

Smiling Jericho placed his phone on his bedside table, before rolling onto his side and falling into a much needed sleep.

..

"I'll be back in a few minutes." Jericho informed Mason, his personal driver.

"Yes, sir." Mason replied, watching as Jericho crossed the street before stepping into the middle class restaurant.

Walking into restaurant, the smell of food and spices filled the open space, making Jericho's stomach grumble. Just as Jericho turned in the direction of the staircase, he was nearly knocked over by the force of Daisy's body.

"Hey. I didn't know you were that excited to see me. " Jericho said, steadying them. His hands on her elbows, a small grin on his face.

Daisy looked up at him, her cheeks flushing with color and a shaky smile on her face. "Sorry. A-are you alright?"

"I sure am." Jericho brushed her hair behind her pink tinted ears. Glancing down at Daisy's body, Jericho noticed that she was still dressed in her work clothes. "You're not ready ..."

"L-Lillian was supposed to h-help dad, but she's out shopping. So I jumped in, but n-now we can go." Daisy smiled awkwardly, pulling at the baggy sweater she was wearing, that had the restaurant logo printed on it. "D-do you mind waiting while I get dressed?"

"It's fine. I'm a little early anyway." Jericho admitted, before leaning down and kissing Daisy innocently, but naturally. Almost like kissing her had become a habit.

Daisy smiled up at Jericho, before taking his hand in her smaller one, and leading him upstairs to her small apartment.

"H-how was your weekend?" Daisy asked, after shutting her bedroom door. "You can sit on m-my bed."

Jericho took a seat on the small twin sized bed, the metal frame of it creaking with Jericho's weight. "I worked through the week, but it's normal around this time of year. And yesterday I had dinner with my family, so that was stressful."

Despite Jericho's chuckle at the end, Daisy looked a little worried. The concern on her face, warmed Jericho. They hadn't been seeing each other for very long, but feelings were definitely developing between them.

"O-oh, I'm sorry." Daisy gave him a weak smile, before pulling her outfit from her closet. "... Do you want to talk about it?"

Jericho shook his head. "No, not really."

Daisy smiled. "Okay. I'll g-go get dressed and t-then we can go."

When Daisy left the room, Jericho checked his phone for any messages, before replying to a few. After the fourth email, Daisy walked into the room dressed and ready to go.

Jericho tucked his phone in his pocket, afterwards standing up and acknowledging Daisy as she stood nervously by the door, fingers pulling at her gray fitting dress. "You look really nice. The dress brings out your eyes and compliments your petite figure."

Surprisingly Daisy chuckled, patting her warm cheeks. "You sound like a fashion guru."

Jericho laughed, slipping his hand on her lower back he led them out of the apartment and towards his car. "Maybe I am one. Men can be into fashion too."

Personally Jericho wasn't into fashion, but with a sister who was obsessed with it, you learn a few tips and tricks.

Opening the car door for Daisy, he gestured her in, before sliding in himself. "How was your week?"

Sliding his hand into Daisy's, he intertwined their fingers, and rested them on his thigh. The car began to move down the busy streets, as soon as Jericho and Daisy were buckled in.

Daisy glanced down at their hands, blushing at the feel of Jericho's thumb tracing over her knuckles. "It was okay. Nothing great occurred, but nothing bad either."

The rest of the drive was based on light conversation and Jericho could see Daisy loosening up. When the car finally stopped, Jericho was glad to see that they had parked at the back entrance of the venue.

"Where are we?" Daisy asked, unconsciously leaning into Jericho's side as they stepped out of his expensive car and he placed his hand on her lower back again.

"Downtown LA." Jericho smiled at the aw expression on Daisy's face. "You've never been down here?"

Daisy looked embarrassed, shaking her head. "N-no. I've never really been out of the Santa Monica area.

"When we've been dating for a little longer, we should go on a vacation together. I heard Greece is really nice around spring time." Jericho led them into the back door of the large venue and down a brick hallway.

Daisy blushed, making Jericho chuckle. He leaned down and kissed her cheek, before opening another heavy metal door that lead them into the large space where the fashion show was being held. They were standing at the side entrance and the place was quickly pilling up with people.

"Welcome to Alyssa Rebel's fashion show." Jericho leaned down to her ear, so she could hear him over the loud music.

Daisy was taking it all in, before looking up at Jericho and giving him a big smile, before hugging him quickly. "Thank you, Jericho."

"Let's go meet Alyssa."

Daisy protested so fast, Jericho was a little surprised. "N-no. Please no. ... I'm not good around n-new people."

Jericho wrapped his arms around a shaking Daisy, softly brushing his hand through her hair. "Okay. Let's just sit down and enjoy the show."

After finding their seats, Jericho was surprised to see his nephew sitting two chairs down from him and Daisy.

"Lennox Rebel where are your parents?" Jericho asked with raised eyebrows.

"Uncle Coco?!" Lennox practically yelled, before hopping from his seat and running into Jericho's arms. The boy was laughing, before he spotted Daisy sitting next to his uncle. "Who's that?"

Jericho lifted the boy onto his lap, smiling at the both of them. "Lennox this is Daisy. Daisy this is my nephew Lennox."

"You're pretty. Are you one of my mommy's models?" Lennox asked, after leaning over and pecking Daisy's cheek.

"Thank you." Daisy laughed, her neck, cheeks and ears turning red. "Charming just like your uncle."

Lennox grinned, winking at Daisy he said. "We try, and we succeed."

----TO BE CONTINUED----

Finally I'm back and I'm excited to continue with this story. I really need your feedback, because I'm very anxious and doubtful about my writing skills at the moment. If you could just leave some honest feedback from time to time I'd be so grateful.

The updates will be sluggish at first, but hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

Lennox resembles another character of mine and if you've read the hybrid than you know who. :)

Next chapter will be Daisy's so we will get more touchy feely.
