Erelah and Jungkook stood there awkwardly looking at each other. People who walked by gave them weird glances because they resembled statues. While Erelah could feel sweat forming on her forehead the longer she stared at the man in front of her.
She still couldn't believe that she's finally seeing her favorite author in the flesh. Erelah thought to herself, 'This feels like a dream.' Then suddenly, Jungkook started walking towards her. Which made her take a few steps backward. "Park Erelah, right?" Jungkook asked as he put his phone back in his jeans pocket.
And before Erelah even knew it, she was already admiring the man before her. He had thin pink lips with the bottom being fuller. His nose high and round, but his eyes Oh, his beautiful doe eyes that looked so mysteriously empty. As though he hides an emotion in those dark brown orbs, that only he knows about, however, Erelah broke free from her trance when Jungkook cleared his throat rather loudly.
Erelah's eyes widened when she realized how long she has been looking at him. "I-I yes that is me." She confirmed with a nervous smile on her lips, but Jungkook only stared at her blankly. Which made her smile instantly fade away.
'Maybe I shouldn't make it obvious that I'm a fan? He did come here for vacation', She thought. "You must be Jeon Jungkook. My brother's friend?" Erelah asked trying to break the ice between the two of them. "Yeah, that is me. Nice to meet you." 'How do I respond to that?' Erelah thought. Having an internal battle with herself.
"Mhmm, nice meeting you too. Anyway! You must be tired, so let me drive you to my house."
"Well, I am tired. Sounds good."

Finally arriving at my house after a long awkward ride. Jungkook and I got out of the car after I had parked it. With me leading the way. I honestly, had a hard time concentrating on the road earlier. It was as if he had a magnet attached to him that constantly drew my attention to him. I mean, who would have thought that I will be driving with my favorite author? Who turned out to be rather attractive. Isn't everyone going to react the same way?
I opened the front door of my house and got in. Followed by him. "Your house is very spacious, and tidy." He said as he made his way to the couch, putting down his belongings. "Well, I don't like cramped places. I find it hard to function like a normal human being, when my house is messy. A weird trait of mine." I explained as I caressed the back of my neck.
"Weird? I don't think so," My eyebrows furrowed as I saw him shook his head. "You don't?" He nodded as he sat on the couch in the living room. "Mhmm, I'm actually like that too. To be honest, your brother is the weird one. That guy doesn't even bother to fix his bed."
He explained, with a frown on his lips. I cringed when I imagined what my brother's room looked like. "I'm sorry you-"
Before I can even finish what I was saying. A phone call interrupted me. I got my phone out and saw that my boss was calling. My eyes widened, not being able to look away from my phone, and said,
"I- ummm... Have to answer this call."
"Go ahead," After he said that. I dashed inside my room and answered the call.
"H-hello, Boss?"
"Ms. Park, come here now asap!"
"U-uh yes, but why did you call me?"
"The editor for this new book called 'Her Hidden Persona' is on maternity leave, and we need you to be the replacement." I went blank for a minute as I tried to process what my boss said. "Ms. Park!" My boss yelled, bringing me back to my senses. "I-yes, Boss! On my way."
Then my boss hung up. I stared at the wall for a good ten seconds, and started jumping up and down in joy. I'm finally given a proper job yes! "This is the best day of my life!" I yelled enthusiastically and grabbed my bag, leaving the room with the biggest smile on my lips, finding Jungkook still seated on the couch. With a book in his hands.
"Sorry, but I have to go to work. I'll come back as soon as possible." I apologized to him as he looked away from the book and instead, looked at me. "No, it's fine. Going to work on a Sunday? That's unusual." He asked with a frown on his lips as he looked down at me tying my shoelaces. "It is, but I'm happy since this only happens once in a blue moon."
After tying my shoelaces. I got back up and looked at him, waving my right hand as a sign of goodbye.

Finally arriving at my destination. I parked my car and soon got out as I started walking towards the building in front of me. Some people get frustrated when they get called to work on a weekend, but I'm not one of them.
Since I'm rarely given a proper job, so I take every opportunity I get to handle the real job when I'm asked to... What I mean by real job is editing the story that the author wrote since I work in the Editorial Department. But instead of editing, I run errands.
Yes, errands... Like purchasing food, supplies, and other necessities for them, . But who am I to complain? I should be grateful that I managed to get a job at one of the biggest publishing companies here in America. As soon as I entered the building. The cold air inside instantly made my body shiver due to the sudden change of temperature.
Since it was Sunday there were only a few people at work, so I didn't have to greet anyone. I then turned right, walking up the flight of stairs, and soon entered my bosses office.
"Finally, took you long enough Ms. Park." My Boss Lilac complained. "Sorry boss... I had to pick up someone at the airport." I explained as she stopped what she was doing and looked at me, nodding her head twice. "Well, that is understandable. Anyway, what are you doing standing there? take a seat!"
"Ah, right." I nodded as I hurriedly took a seat in front of my boss. "I asked the author if it will be fine with her if you're gonna be the replacement of Mrs. Smith. Her current editor and she said yes."
My eyes widened when I heard what my boss told me. Why, do you ask? Well, that's because the writers in this company rarely agree with me being the editor. Since I still have little experience, so hearing that the author agreed, left me feeling ecstatic.
"She even said you were her second option... Do you know how much of a shock that was to me? You were her second option when there are a lot more experienced editors here!" My boss exclaimed, laughing in the end. I didn't know what was funny, but I just went along and laughed as well. "Anyways here is the copy of the book." She said as she handed me a pile of papers, housed in a white folder that had 'Her Hidden Persona' printed on its center. While on the bottom of it was where the author's pen name was printed BlueNGreyWriter.
I traced the title of the book with my finger. A smile on my lips as I looked up at my boss and said, "Thank you, boss I'll do my best."

The Next Day
*CRING, CRING*
Jungkook's alarm echoed through his room, disrupting his sleep. He groaned not liking how his peaceful sleep was disrupted by his alarm. But then he thought, 'I was the one who scheduled it anyway, so who am I to complain?'
He then sat up from his sleeping position, ruffling his hair in the process. "Maybe I should stop scheduling one?" He asked himself as he started sniffing around his room. "Where's that smell coming from?" He asked himself as he stood up from his sitting position and headed out of his bedroom.
Following the unidentified odor. He was led to the kitchen and saw the dining table filled with food. It looked it was cooked not too long ago since the heat from the food can be seen evaporating into thin air. He walked closer to it, feeling his mouth water.
Jungkook was about to sit down, but stopped halfway when he saw a sticky note stuck on the wooden surface of the table. He picked it up and started reading it. "Good morning! Sorry, for leaving early. Work matters hehe, so I made you food instead. Enjoy!"
That was what the letter said. With Erelah's name written on the bottom. Jungkook stuck the sticky note back to the table and looked at the food before him, tilting his head and thought 'It's been a long time since someone cooked for me. Ever since, mom left this world. It has always been me.'
Jungkook sat down at the table and took his first bite of Erelah's home-cooked food. His eyes closing, liking the taste of her cooking. "Thank you, Erelah."

-Erelah's P.O.V-
I stayed up all night yesterday because I badly wanted to finish editing the story by today... And I managed to edit half of it. But now the result is I'm sleepy and I now have dark circles under my eyes well, that's alright! what's important is I done my part.
I badly need coffee. I regret not going to the café I passed by earlier ughhh! Oh, right I made Jungkook breakfast today. I hoped he liked it... Because if he doesn't that-
THUD!
SPLASH!
Since I was too occupied with my thoughts. I didn't notice a girl that was holding a stack of coffee cups. Its contents were now all on the ground along with the papers- wait... I don't feel any paper in my hands. I slowly looked down and saw that along with the spilled coffee were the edited version and unedited version of 'Her Hidden Persona'. I looked at it in horror and immediately picked it all up not minding its wetness and the smell of coffee transferring onto my shirt.
"Omygosh! I'm so sorry." I apologized to the girl who looked really annoyed as she looked at me from head to toe. "Ugh! I have to go back to the café again because of you." She complained as she rolled her eyes and walked away from me.
NO, NO... What should I do? I messed up big time. How am I supposed to present this to my boss now? Should I make up an excuse? I mean today isn't the deadline anyway, but the original copy is also damaged... Oh, what am I gonna do? I felt tears welling up in the corners of my eye. But I held it back since crying isn't gonna help my situation right now.
I then began walking to my desk, ignoring the judgemental looks my officemates were giving me. When I got to my cubicle, I put the stack of documents on my table and went in search of a new folder. Because the folder I was using was also soaked.
The world is probably telling me to never pull an all-nighter ever again. I slumped down on my seat as I buried both my hands in my hair extremely frustrated.
Then I couldn't hold it back anymore... I let out the tears that were welling up in the corners of my eye.
"The world must really hate me huh?" I asked my self. A chuckle escaping my lips then suddenly, a familiar deep voice spoke beside me. "How could the world hate you?" I looked to where I heard the voice, meeting eyes with the person who would only call me that nickname.
"Now who made you cry mhm?"
Kim Taehyung...
