Jungkook's POV
I was having so much fun getting to know this handsome new Thai friend of mine that I did not realize I had almost finished up the bottle of wine. I did not notice that he had been pouring the wine into my glass each time I emptied it.
"Would you like me to order some more wine?" Bright asked me.
"Oh no, no," I replied, giving him a silly grin. I could tell that I was already feeling buzzed.
I watched as he scooped a forkful of pasta into his mouth. I noticed that he had such plump, luscious lips. I wondered how they would feel against my own lips.
I shook my head to drive away those unwanted thoughts.
"Have you ever taken a walk along the Han River?" I asked him while watching his mouth moving as he chewed his food carefully before swallowing it.
"No, I've never done that," he replied.
"Would you like to do that after we have eaten?" I asked.
"Sure!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement. "I certainly would love to do that!"
Actually I had finished to eat so I was really eager for him to finish his food so that I could take him for a walk along the Han River.
"Would you like to order a slice of tiramisu for dessert, or would you prefer a serving of their spumoni ice cream?" Bright offered just before wiping a smidgen of pasta sauce from his lips with the table napkin.
"No, thanks," I replied. "I can't take anything else. That flavorful chicken cacciatore and risotto really filled me up."
"Very well," he said, motioning for the waiter who attended to us to bring us the bill.
"Let's go," Bright said to me as soon as the transaction was taken care of.
I could sense the suppressed excitement in his voice.
I stood up and held on to the side of the table when I felt a slight dizziness hit me. Shit, I was well and truly buzzed, but who cares, I was with this exciting young man from another country. I might never have the chance to be with someone like him ever again.
He followed me as I moved toward the exit. In my state of mind, I got careless and almost tripped when my foot got caught in the leg of a customer's chair. Bright was quick to steady me by placing an arm around me.
"Be careful," he said. I felt his breath against my ear as he talked.
"Thanks," I murmured, unable to wipe off the silly grin which seemed to be permanently pasted on my face.
When I felt steady again we continued our way out of the building. I felt his arm across my shoulder as he guided me down the steps.
Soon we were walking towards the pathways to the Han River.
I could feel the soft evening breeze caressing my cheeks and blowing a few tendrils of my hair away from my face.
"Isn't it such a romantic evening?" Bright remarked, looking out into the expanse of water. "Just look at those lovers walking hand and hand and the others unashamedly smooching and hugging while leaning against the metal railings. Everyone is in his own world of romance."
I sighed. I tried not to envy those lovers who seemed to be having the time of their lives by the Han River.
"Let's stop and rest over here," I suggested to Bright after we had walked for about a good fifteen minutes.
We had found a cement bench by the side of the river that was a little bit farther away from the crowd of lovers and evening strollers.
I sat on the bench and patted the space beside me, indicating to Bright to take it. He sat down close beside me. The manly smell of his cologne wafted to my nostrils.
My heart started beating fast. I felt myself breathing through my slightly opened lips. I gazed across the water and willed my heart rate to slow down.
I could tell from my peripheral vision that Bright had turned his head in my direction and was staring intently at my face. My heart rate that had started to slow down went back to a fast tempo.
I felt him drape his arm casually across my shoulder.
"I envy you," he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"You can come here any time you want whereas I would have to fly across the miles if I wanted to enjoy the feel and the sights of this beautiful place," he replied.
I heard him give out a sigh. I instinctively placed my arm across his back and ran my hand up and down his back as if unconsciously trying to comfort him.
He turned his face to me once more just as I turned my own face towards him.
My heartbeat became so loud that I knew Bright could hear it as well. He was lowering his face to mine and I had instinctively lifted my face to meet his.
His lips were less than an inch away from mine when I felt the back of my collar being grabbed and I was forcibly being made to stand up.
"Namjoon! Hyung! (A/N: 'Hyung' is the Korean honorific for an older brother) What are you doing here???" I yelled in dismay.
Namjoon did not even bother to answer me. He just kept dragging me away from Bright.
At the same time that I had felt Namjoon grabbing me, I had also noticed someone grabbing Bright.
"Metawin! What are you doing here?" I heard Bright say to the young man who had grabbed him at the exact same time that Namjoon had grabbed me.
Even as Namjoon was dragging me away, I could see the Metawin guy poking an index finger at Bright's face while saying, "You have a lot of explaining to do!"
Oh shit, was that guy Bright's boyfriend? Had my potential love affair already ended even before it could begin?
Namjoon's tight hold on me slackened when he heard me sigh loudly.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your romantic night," he said with a smirk, "but you have gone past our dormitory curfew."
When we entered the living room of our dorm, I flashed a sheepish smile at Taehyung but was met with a murderous glare from him.
