So this trailer is relatively short (as most teaser trailers are) but I still wanted to review it.

So we start off with Mal walking around wearing her Descendants 2 outfit. She appears to be walking around a swamp during the night. In front of her is a big glowing blue light and smaller blue lights are moving around her. As Mal approaches the big light she begins hearing whispers all around her. As she finally reaches the light it reveals itself as a glowing blue ball of fire sitting on a pedestal. When she walks closer to the fire the whispering gets louder and finally the fire says it's first full word. That being "Mal." Mal looks confused and looks at the fire before asking "Dad?"

So first off when I saw Mal walking around the swamp I immediately thought of the Princess and the Frog because the swamp reminded me of the bayou. Then when we see Mal with the whispering glowing lights I thought of the willow of the wisps from Brave. Maybe this is me trying to make Disney connections I don't know. No of course the big question. Who is Mal's dad? I've seen some people speculate that it's Hades because of the blue fire. However I don't think he's a villain we know. I think that he's just a human. Why? Well Maleficent confirmed it himself. In the first Descendants book Maleficent told Mal that she had to prove that she was like her not a "weak pathetic human like your father." So we haven't seen him yet that I'm aware of but I hope we do.
