Celia St. James is an arrogant bitch (II.)
'So?' I asked Y/N when we got back to her trailer.
'So what?' she looked at me, confusion written all over her face.
'What do you like to do?'
'Wait, are you serious?' she laughed but when I looked at her without a single smile on my face, she got quiet for a few seconds. 'Jenna, you could literally drown me in a spoonful of water, why the hell would you want to hang out with me?'
'I don't. But Taylor asked us to and I don't want to let her down' I shrugged. It would be nice to drown her.
'What if you just stopped being a child and act like a professional. We do not need chemistry to film these scenes. Plus, sorry to say that but just because we get a coffee together or whatever, there's not going to be chemistry between us. Ever.'
'Why so negative?' I giggled, even though I knew she was right. There was just no way.
'I'm stating the obvious. Don't you have something better to do right now?' she sighed and laid down in her bed.
'No? I thought we're going to be filming all day, why would I have any plans?'
'God, it was just a nice way of saying that I want you out of here' she rolled her eyes irritated.
'Then just say that, damn. Also, you're not gonna get rid off me so easily. Trust me, I hate it as much as you do but I'm willing to spend a few hours with you for Taylor's sake. And for my sake as well. Kissing you was one of the hardest things in my life and not because I'm not a professional but because you're obnoxious as fuck.'
'Enough of the compliments, I might fall in love' she smirked. 'One coffee. One. And we're gonna get it from the coffee machine in the main area. I'm not going to a café with you.'
'Works with me. I would hate it if my fans thought I'm dating you.'
'You have fans?' she raised her brows.
'More than you do' I rolled my eyes at her snarky comment. 'Just a heads up, you're not getting under my skin with that.'
'Then I have to try harder' she smiled.
'Let's just get that coffee and let's get over with this as fast as possible, please.'
She didn't say anything to that. Maybe she ran out of mean comments. Wishful thinking. She picked up her phone from the coffee table and headed to her trailer's door.
'Really? That's the best you could come up with?' Taylor sighed when she saw us sitting on a couch in the main area, sipping on our coffee in silence.
'I mean, that's something. I practically had to force her to come here with me' I shrugged, not knowing what exactly she expects from us.
'You both are damn childish, I hope you are aware.'
'We are' Y/N chimed in the conversation, raising her disposable cup.
'Alright, back to Y/N's trailer right now! Both of you!' she raised her voice and for the first time in months, I saw her getting really mad at us and the situation.
I could tell Y/ N had the same thoughts in her head. She was too scared to protest. She did exactly what Taylor told us to do. Without a word leaving her mouth, she started walking in the direction of her trailer.
I looked at Taylor once again and with a sigh, I followed Y/N with Taylor behind me.
'I like you both a lot and you're gonna hate me for what I'm about to do but I can't let you two ruin my movie' the writer looked at us when we were inside of the trailer.
'Are you gonna fire us?' Y/N looked at her and she actually seemed scared.
'Worse.'
I looked at the other actress next to me. Safe to say, she was just as confused as I was. But before we could say or do anything, Taylor picked up Y/N's keys from their place and shut the door behind her, trapping us inside.
'You both stay there until you get some common sense. If it's an hour, it's an hour. If it's a day, it's a day and I swear to god, if it takes a week, it takes a week, I don't care' we heard her voice from outside.
'Wait, you can't do that' Y/N rushed to the door and tried to open it. No use, it was locked.
'Did she really lock us in here?' the Y/H/C haired girl asked. She was furious.
'She did' I sighed and sat down on her bed.
'What if I'm claustrophobic?'
'Are you?' I panicked.
'No. That's why I said "what if". You seriously have to learn how to react to sarcasm and irony. It's annoying that you take everything so seriously.'
'Well, I'm sorry that I tried to be an OK co-worker and was worried about you for a split second.'
'You should be worried about yourself. There's only one bed in here.'
'Oh, so I'm spending the night?'
'It's five in the afternoon, Jenna. Do you think we're gonna be best friends in 2 or 3 hours? Yes, me neither' she rolled her eyes. Again.
'How about you start behaving like a decent human being? I wouldn't be so irritated by you and we could get out of here.'
'Not happening. Not with you.'
'Unbelievable' I shook my head. To be honest, I found the whole situation amusing.
The first hour in the trailer was extremely boring. I was sitting on her bed and she was sitting on the floor, playing a stupid game on her phone. We didn't talk, neither of us said anything to the other.
I picked up the only book she had in there from her night stand to entertain myself. "Fifty Shades of Grey"
'Are you into these kinda things?' I giggled when I read the title.
'Of course, it's pure comedy' she looked up from her phone and shrugged.
'I have only seen the first movie.'
'The book is much better. It's so cringe it actually hurts' she laughed a little and turned off her phone. 'I'm gonna read you my favorite parts' she laughed again and sat down next to me on the bed, taking the book out of my hands.
'Enlighten me' I smiled a little.
'Okay, I used a marker every single time I came across a funny sentence, scene, it should be easy to find them' she giggled and opened the book. 'Ready?' she looked at me and I saw something different in her eyes this time. It wasn't hatred.
'Born ready.'
She cleared her throat and looked at me with a serious expression on her face.
'I feel the colour in my cheeks rising again. I must be the color of The Communist Manifesto.'
'Oh my God' I laughed. 'Yes, that's definitely the first comparison that springs to my mind when I think of red.'
'Just wait, it's getting better and better' she smiled. 'I can almost hear his sphinx-like smile through the phone.'
'Ah, yes. Those infamously smiley sphinxes' I groaned. Y/N chuckled at my reaction and kept reading the book.
'The orange juice tastes divine. It's thirst-quenching and refreshing' she sighed. 'At this point this book should be called "Fifty Shades of Tropicana".'
'I would buy it, to be honest. I love giving extra detailed descriptions of my orange juice.'
'You gotta be kidding me' she looked at me, horror written on her whole face.
'You seriously have to learn how to react to sarcasm and irony. It's annoying that you take everything so seriously' I mocked her.
'Look at you, a star is borning' she smirked.
'Is that even a real world?' I laughed.
'I don't know, you are the smarty pants' she shrugged. 'Now be quiet, I'm getting to the good part' she cleared her throat again. 'I had no idea giving pleasure could be such a turn-on, watching him writhe subtly with carnal longing. My inner goddess is doing the merengue with some salsa moves.' she kept giggling throughout every sentence.
It was kind of cute how excited she got about this book. I bet she enjoys it more than she would ever admit it.
'Here's my favorite one, listen' she continued. 'I eye Christian's toothbrush. It would be like having him in my mouth. Hmm... Hmmm - he's soft and hard at once, like steel encased in velvet, and surprisingly tasty.'
'Oh my God, you are enjoying this way too much' I chuckled.
'Don't tell me you don't' she laughed along. 'This is such a well written book. I'm devastated they already made a movie out of it. I would've killed for the part of Anastasia' she sighed dramatically.
'I really hope it's another sarcasm of yours. Even though, I would've watched all the movies for sure, just to see you as a vanilla.'
'You just have to get in a relationship with me to see and experience that to be honest.'
'Don't tell me you're a vanilla' I gasped.
'Not confirming and sure as hell not denying' she smirked. 'But I'm not into these kinda stuff so I wouldn't call it "vanilla".'
'How would you call it then? A bottom?' it was my turn to smirk.
'Oh shut up' she rolled her eyes playfully and looked down at the book in her lap once again. 'Here, listen to this one, "I'm all deer/headlights, moth/flame, bird/snake - and he knows exactly what he's doing to me." I swear to God, E. L. James forgot to go back and edit out her first draft notes. It's also mixing metaphors to an extent that's almost impressive, since "a moth to a flame" has literally nothing to do with "a deer in headlights". I'm not sure what the bird/snake part is about.' she closed the book. 'Damn, I'm really getting in the mood' she joked.
'Which mood?'
'I'm not telling you' she blushed.
'I didn't think it's that easy to flirt with you' I smiled.
'It's pretty easy.'
'In that case, I have the best pick up lines. Wanna hear them?'
'Oh, hell yes. I'm sure they're gonna get me out of the mood, so please' she let out a little laugh. She's been laughing a lot lately. Weird.
'I'm on top of things. Would you like to be one of them?' I laid down in her bed.
'So now you're going to make fun of me because I may be a bottom? That's not very nice of you, Jenna' she laid down next to me, gently putting the book back on her night stand.
'I'm not here to be nice.'
'Fair enough. Keep going.'
'If I keep going, you might be coming soon.'
'Seriously? That's the best you've got?' she laughed and obviously rolled her eyes at me, but I could see how the heat rose up on her cheeks.
'I've got a serious question for you, ma'am' I turned to my side to face her.
'Shoot.'
'What did you say, how do you pronounce your name again?'
'Ohm, it's Y/N. Why?'
'I just want to make sure I scream it right tonight.'
'Jesus' she laughed and covered her face with her hands. 'I can't believe I walked in to your little trap, I thought it's going to be something serious. You had this really concerned look on your face.' she laughed.
'Wanna play Titanic? You'll be the iceberg and I'll go down' I grinned.
'Okay, they're really bad, stop it.'
'But if I do, we won't have anything to talk about and you're going to start bullying me again' I pouted.
'That's not true' she scoffed.
'Yes, it is' I sighed. 'How come you can be the nicest with literally everyone we work with but not with me?'
'Look' she started, looking deep in my eyes. 'I don't hate you at all. I just like to mess with you because you have great come-backs. Bullying is my love language, you should take it as a compliment that I was mean to you a few times.'
'Every. Single. Time.' I corrected her. 'But hey, does this mean that you like me more than just a random co-worker?'
'Oh, please' she rolled her eyes for the 100th times that evening.
'You didn't say it doesn't.'
'Just shut up.'
'Make me.'
'I'm a bottom' she whispered and looked down for a few seconds.
'Oh my fucking God' I groaned and kissed her.
Her lips were warm and soft. They parted slightly, allowing my tongue to slip inside. I could feel the soft tickle of her breath beneath my nose. I tangled my left hand in her hair, the other was gently laying underneath me. This kiss was different from earlier. This was real. It wasn't acting. I wanted it and she wanted it, too. The smell of her perfume was dizzying. Her hand moved to my face. She gently caressed my cheek with her thumb before our lips parted slowly.
I kept my eyes closed. I was too scared to open them. I felt excitement and fear at the same time. I hope Taylor is going to be happy, we have chemistry now. But do I really want us to have it? Or does she?
