Mo' and Semiloore just watched me in amazement as I told them about how I knew Ephraim. I was suprised they were acting this way. I couldn't wait to finish my talk so I could ask them what came over them. As soon as I was done, I held Semiloore's hands and started shaking them, I was asking why they acted that way.

Just then, we were called to start taking our forms. Semiloore and I went forward, Dunsin asked us what we were registering for and we told him. He gave us our different forms and asked us to fill it and submit them immediately. I looked around and didn't see any chairs in sight. We had been standing for over 45minutes, and my legs were already aching me. I had a leg condition, patella dislocation, and I don't dare stand or walk for long.

I continued looking around for a while, until I heard my name being called, Ephraim was calling. I walked up to him, he stood up from where he was sitting and pulled me down until I was sitting on the seat.

A smiled crawled up my face as I muttered a thank you.

" You are welcome" he said smiling, he sat on the desk near where I was sitting. I felt extremely nervous as I felt his eyes linger on me. I lifted up my eyes, only to see a large portion of the occupants of the room staring at us.

Semiloore and Mo' were grinning at us, I gave them a weird look and immediately they sucked in their teeth, I laughed quietly. Semiloore was using Mo' as a table as she was feeling her form and it really looked funny. The two girls had a way of making me happy when I was with them. I stared at them for a while before Ephraim's voice called me back to action.

"So you debate?" Ephraim asked. I nodded my head in response "that's cool" he added. "How's your Dad" he asked.

"He's fine, he dropped me off at school this morning" I said, the realization of what I said hitting me as soon as I finished saying it.

Why would I tell him my Dad drops me off at school. He would see me as a Daddy's girl now.

I thought as I groaned silently.

"Waoo, your Dad drops you off at school. You don't stay in the hostel right?" He asked.

" Yes I don't, isn't that obvious, you saw me last night" I snapped at him. And I regretted it immediately. " I'm sorry" I apologized.

" It's okay" he said.

"You stay on campus right" I asked.

" No I don't" he said. " But I stay off campus, far away from home" he added. Stressing the word far.

I giggled. " So, why were you at the restaurant the other night" I asked.

"Well, my Dad just got back from Florida last week, so he said we should have a family dinner".

" Oh" I said " so you are just two right, you and you younger sister".

" No we aren't, I've got an older sister. But not from my mum". He said, looking me in the eye. Just then , I remember my dad's words about his Dad impregnating someone in is Youth.

"Oh, okay" I said. Taking my eyes off his.

I continued filling the form and I stood up to submit. I turned back to wave him goodbye.

"I'll see you around then" he said.

"Yeah, take care" I said as I walked away.

Semiloore and Mo'were already outside. I walked up to them, as they were busy talking.

"Hey guys, can we leave now, I need to rest my legs" I said, touch my left knee. With the way it was paining me, I would have to wear leg braces for the next few days.

"Jemi, Jemi" Semiloore said, winking at me.

" What? "I asked, they kept looking at me like that.
" You guys should talk oo, I need to sit down, my leg is paining me" I said really frustrated.

" Sorry ehn" Mo' said " it's just that we didn't know you knew the most handsome guy in this department" Mo' said.

They were like this because of Ephraim,

Err, girls. I sighed.

"Do you know that Fikayo as a big thing for this Ephraim guy" Semilore said.

" Wao"I said.

" Yeah, she's always talking about him" Mo' added. "There was did day she went to say hi. You should have seen the embarrassment Ephraim gave her."

That's not new nah, I thought to myself.

" Wao, beautiful. Can we go to the lecture room now. Before that, I need to eat. Do you guys know where the cafeteria is?" I asked, I was really talking anxiously. My back was bent as I held the pillar near me, and used the other hand to hold my left knee.

"What's wrong with your leg" Mo' asked as she bent down and held my knee too. " The cafeteria is like 30 minutes walk from hear" she said. Tears were almost dropping from my eyes. How would I walk to that place now, I thought to myself.

"Arrgh, I would have to postpone eating now, I can't walk down there" I said.

" What?!! You look really tired. Do you even know when the lecture will end. No you aren't trying that". Semiloore said. I shouldn't try it too, I was an ulcer patient, and any minute from now. My stomach would be paining me. Ulcer pain and my leg pain together? That was good at all.

"What do I do now" I asked, tears forming in my eyes. I saw Mo' smiling.

Who smiles at times like this, i thought as I glared at her.

"Good thing I've got a car" Mo'said as she played with her car keys, I was so happy I hugged her so tightly.

"Calm down sis, let's go o, you'll tell us what's wrong with your leg on the way" she said as we walked to the faculty's car pack. She opened the door to her Toyota Corolla car, it was a new model too.

Who gives his daughter a car like this to bring to school? I asked myself.

Mo's father, I answered myself.

I sat at the back sit as I told them the situation of my leg. They felt sorry for me promise to always take me everywhere I wanted in the school.

It was so nice to have friends like them. I thought about Toni and then my heart sank.

Few minutes into the drive, we stopped at the cafeteria. Semiloore went to get us some food at the counter. While she was gone. Mo'and I discussed about how we thought lectures would be like, we were having our first lecture in an hour. I was a bit excited about it. 

Semiloore came back after five minutes with our food we continued talking. After awhile I felt someone's hand cover my eyes. I didn't know too many people in school already.

I thought and thought and then it came to me.

"Dare" I called out.

He removed his hands and started giggling. He sat on the chair beside me.

"Hey" he said, he rested his face on his hands.

"Damilare, how are you now. I didn't know it was you. I just guessed" I said smiling.

" Introduce us" Mo' said. Her voice in whispers, and her eyes staring at her food. I giggled.

"Okay ma" I said. "Okay guy's, this is Damilare" I said pointing at him "Damilare is my friend,and church member". I added "Damilare, these are my friends. Mo' and Semiloore" .
The trio exchanged greetings, and Dare went to get his food as he joined our table.

After we were done, we stood up and started walking towards Mo's car. We continued talking about random things before we got to where it the car was packed.

"Okay guy's I'll see you later, I'm not going your way". Dare said.

" Okay, bye,later" there three of us said.

"Err, Jemi when you are going to see Toni at the hospital tell me so we can go together okay".

I was still smiling, but hearing his last words I tried to process what he was saying. I was like I was a slowly booting computer. I couldn't understand the simple sentence. I stared at him, I was finding it difficult to breathe and see clearly. I managed to ask.

"Toni, is in the hospital?"
