Elsa's pov:
----------------------------
I woke up early this morning, and quickly got ready for my shift at the post office. I had so much on my mind, and something that usually happened when I had a lot on my mind was I could potentially lose control of my powers. Yeah, not a good idea. Between me and you guys, my greatest fear had always been loosing control and hurting someone. Fear that someone would see me as a monster if I revealed my powers.
Mama and Papa always helped me deal with that fear. Papa used to say that if people didn't love me for what I was, including my powers, I shouldn't worry about them at all. And Mama would say that if I remembered the love I felt in my heart, I would always control them.
{Flashback, we're starting the chapter off on a high! Zach, play the dream music!}
I wandered out of the bathroom at our house and ran back to the meeting the mayor was conducting. Apparently the Queen was looking for someone, but all of us were to help get ready for her birthday party. The mayor was organising a gift from our village and we all needed to help.
But right now, that was the furthest thing from my mind. Mama had explained what would happen when I eventually hit the right age, that I would bleed a little. She taught me that I would feel very emotional while I was bleeding or on my 'period' as she called it.
And that was exactly how I felt right now. I'd just started my period. Mama had given me what she called pads and being a 12 year old girl that terrified me. So when I came out, scared and nervous all my emotions hit me at once. Suddenly I hated my powers. I wanted to die, I wanted to fall asleep and I wanted to sob uncontrollably in a ball. As these emotions flooded me, I could feel my powers coursing through my body, trying to force themselves out.
I shot a massive blast of ice that knocked a little boy over. Thank goodness it was winter. Or else everyone would've known! The little boy got up and started crying. I automatically felt horrible and pulled on some gloved that I had in my bag onto my hands.
But it was worse when he ran off. No, no-one knew what he meant. He was three, his broken speech was barely understandable. But I understood. He yelled that I was a horrible monster. And he would have hurt me if he knew I was gonna hurt him.
Immediately, a creepy voice echoed in my head.
Conceal it Elsa. Don't feel it. Don't let it show.
Even more scared than before, I ran into the safety of my Mama's arms. Once I'd calmed down, we left and Papa took Anna to warm up since it was so cold. The cold never bothered me anyway so I was ok.
"Elsa, sweetie what happened?" Mama asked.
I told her the story through my sobs and she comforted me.
"Elsa. Sometimes things like this happen. Honestly that little boy probably says that to his parents when they tell him off. But here is something that will help you control you powers ok? Remember this, when you feel like you can't control them, like they are too much. Just hink about Anna. Or me or Papa. Think about how much you love them and then hopefully that love will help your control ok sweetie?" Mama smiled hugging me.
"Okay Mama. Thank you." I smiled.
"It's ok. We love you very much ok? Just be more careful with exactly how you lose control and you will be fine my love." Mama smiled.
I nodded and curled up. Think of Anna hey? Her smile filled my head. Ok. I will try to think of her, and maybe that will work when I'm losing it.
Anna ran in a few minutes later, giggling and wanting to play. I wasn't ready to use my powers, but how could I say no to my little sister? With a grin I ran out with her ready to have a awesome day.
-------------------- end of flashback, thank you Zach.
I grinned a little at the memory. Real parents or not, they were the best ones I could've asked for. A loud tap on my window brought me out of my thoughts however.
I looked out to see Jack, looking incredibly upset and floating above my window. What is he doing here? Anna can see him, he could have used the front door right?
I opened the window and a strong winter wind pushed me back a little bit.
"Thanks wind!" Jack called floating in.
I stood up and frowned. "Uh Jack? There is a front door for a reason. Why did you do that!" I asked, pulling on my gloves.
"Your sister decided to lock me out an told me to come in through here. I wanted to tell you what North told me." Jack replied, rolling his eyes.
My eyes went wide and I could feel my cheeks light up. Seriously Anna? I'm going to murder you.
"Ah yes. Sorry she's slightly insane and does totally random things that have absolutely no reason. What was this about North?" I asked, gesturing for him to follow me out.
"Well yes. North doesn't think it's a good idea to go to the ball." Jack shrugged.
"It's a kingdom order. I haven't any choice." I frowned.
"Ok. Well why are you wearing gloves? You don't feel the cold. If you tell me you are trying to control or conceal them, we are gonna have a problem." Jack glared. Wow he really doesn't like that?
"Um....... Well it's just I have a job and yesterday I froze he floor when I got distracted, so I thought I'd wear them so I didn't get caught." I mumbled.
"Humph. It's not gonna make a difference. They're powers. They are directly linked to your emotions Elsa. If you hide them, they will eventually force their way out and it will be even worse. They are a part of you. Come on, I'll teach you some things about them hey?" Jack offered.
"B-but I have work. I can't." I replied.
"Yes she can! I already told her boss she was sick and couldn't come. He said the post office is closed because of the ball today anyways." Anna smirked as we landed in the dining room.
I glared at her but Jack seemed happy. He sat down and ate breakfast with us, and Olaf. Then Anna and Olaf shooed me out the door with Jack. I hugged Anna and told her I loved her, them followed Jack out the door and we started walking towards the lake.
On the way I bumped into that guy, Prince Hans again.
"Woah! Sorry Your majesty." I gasped.
"It's ok Elsa. Really. What're you doing out today? Who's your friend?" He asked pointing to Jack. "Where are his shoes, you must be freezing!" Hans asked, shocked.
Covering my shock I smiled. "Oh no. This is my good friend Jack. And he lost his shoes so we are actually going to buy a new pair."
"Well that won't do. Here you go." Hans said with a serious face. His hands lit up with fire and he held them close to Jack's feet.
"That will keep them warm. Um, are you Jack Frost per chance? I've seen you in books." Hans asked.
"That's me buddy. I'm Jack Frost. Just don't tell anyone. Not even your parents. Please?" Jack ordered.
"Sure no worries. Ah man this is cool! My parents have ice powers but I got fire ones for some reason. Anywho. You guys carry on. Nice to see you again Elsa." Hans bowed walking away.
I waved and Jack looked to be deep in thought. "He's related to you somehow. Only people who are guardians are able to see me unless they believe or are kids. And Manny knows everyone who is born with powers since he gives them. His 'parents' are somehow related to you and so is he."
"What? So wait........ The current Queen is probably my aunty? And Hans is probably my cousin?" I asked as we got to the lake.
"Yes. Come on, time to practice. Take off your shoes." Jack ordered.
I nodded and pulled them off. My toes sunk into the snow and I immediately felt at home. Jack smiled approvingly and gestured for me to come over.
"Okay Elsa. I need you to try and just focus. Think about something you love. And once you find it, close your eyes and try to see the attachment you have." Jack smiled.
I nodded and closed my eyes. This could take a while. Finally after focusing and concentrating, when I closed my eyes it was like I could see the ice that floated through my blood. The ice in my hands, the ice in my head, all of it was part of me.
I opened my eyes and grinned at Jack.
"Good job Snowflake!" Jack grinned. He made a big pile of sharp ice.
"Snowflake?" I asked, confused.
"Yes. That's my nickname for you. Now. I've made a huge pile of sharp ice. I want you to try and break though it with your own." Jack told me.
"Haha ok? What's this going to do?" I asked.
"Train you for self defence. C'mon, show me what you got!" Jack grinned.
Suddenly excited, I launched myself forward and made a kind of staircase out of my ice. I ran up them and dissolved Jack's ice as I ran, and finally as I busted through it I slumped back down, exhausted.
"Okay. That was great Elsa! You are a natural, Your princesslyness." Jack mocked, bowing.
"Silence, you peasant." I giggled.
"Oh, harsh! That's probably enough for today. Pushing yourself too hard with your powers never ends well. For now, you should probably go home. I would strongly recommend that you stay home Snowflake." Jack frowned.
"Thank you Jack, for helping me. But it's a Royal order! I have little choice." I replied.
Jack laughed a bit and bowed. "See you later then."
I waved goodbye and made my way home, blushing. I knew Anna would be teasing me all morning. Was I scared? Weeeeeeeelll let's just say maybe she had a point.................

Jack's pov:
---------------------
As I flew home, and landed back in North's workshop, I couldn't help but think about Elsa. I was obviously Day dreaming because I didn't see North come up behind me and yell "BOO!"
"Ahhh! North?! What was that for?" I asked with a laugh.
"Guardian of fun laughs even when he is scared. Why am I not suprise? Anyway, what did Elsa say bout ball?" North asked.
"She's not listening. Why'd it matter anyway?" I shrugged.
"Because Elsa is like last cookie Pitch and Moira have been waiting for to take over. They will either slowly turn her evil, filling her mind with fear, or they will drain her powers gradually." North frowned.
"But why don't we just bring her here? It's not gonna hurt her." I asked.
"It's not Manny's time. He says he wants to work things out himself. Something needs to happen between now and then." North replied.
"Hmm well ok. Eh, Elsa is strong. I couldn't do anything about it." I defended.
"You will go and accompany her to ball. Keep her safe and no matter what do not let her show her powers. Not yet." North ordered.
"Okay boss. Hey, any chance there's some cookies I could steal?" I smirked.
"JACK! I'm hurt you think there wouldn't be. Go to kitchen. There is full plate. But Jack you need to get changed. If anyone who believes sees you there could be problems. Getting dressed means you will hide better." North said firmly.
"Yes! Cookies! Thanks North! And will do!" I saluted running off.
Once I had my pound of cookies, I got changed into the only suit I was comfortable wearing. Even then I was bored. I liked my usual clothes! Sure they were a little bit old but my jumper is trademark Jack Frost. Worst of all, I have to hide my staff in my pocket unless I need to use it. Ugh, if it weren't for Elsa I'd hate this ball even more!
With a sigh I flew off to see North and get a final inspection. I was wearing shoes this time.
"Very nice Jack. You look good. I'm sure Elsa will like. Off you go!" North said shooing me out the door.
I flew back to Arendale, a little tired and knocked on Elsa's door.
She opened it and boy did she look beautiful. "U-um, hey Elsa. I have to come with you tonight or you could be in danger." I mumbled.
"Ok! Cool, why are you wearing a suit?" Elsa asked with a slight blush.
"North made me. I don't like it. My fun side says this is too stiff." I shuddered.
"Well I like it. Anna are you ready to go yet?" Elsa yelled.
"Sorry! Coming, I'm ready- what the heck happened to you!" Anna squealed.
"He's gotta come to keep me safe. Sorry." Elsa frowned.
"No no! That's cool. Let's go." Anna grinned.
I let ice come from my feet as I walked, if you know that time when I walked on water to see Tooth? Yea, the ice was flowing freely as I walked.
"Hey Jack? Aren't you gonna stop that? Isn't it dangerous?" Elsa asked.
"Nah. People who can't see me can't see the ice I make usually. It's cool. Plus, danger is half the fun!" I smirked.
We eventually made our way to the castle. I was really impressed at the sight of it. Elsa has some cool lineage!
As we walked in, we were directed to the ball room. Elsa looked really panicked and I wasn't sure why.
"Hey Snowflake? Are you ok?"
"No. There's something off. I can feel someone's else's ice powers. 2 people. And one is distressed. The other....... Well it feels wrong." Elsa shuddered.
Makes sense. I can sense her powers. Wait. 2 people? Oh oh.
"2 people? That's not good. Keep your eyes open and be alert. I'm not sure what is going to happen tonight." I whispered.
"Ok. Let's go. Will the kids here see you?" Elsa asked.
"Yes! My favourite part really. Can't wait to make some nobles look stupid." I cackled.
Elsa role her eyes as we finally arrived in the ball room. As we stood there and waited, The supposed King, Queen and Prince of Arendale walked out.
"Presenting their majesties, Queen Moira, King Edgar and Prince Hans of Arendale." The presenter announced.
The whole room bowed, even little boys, and I smirked as one of them noticed me.
Then we all stood. Queen Moira? That's not right. When I met Elsa's Mom all those years ago, Moira wasn't even there. North said she had gone off for a period of time and when she came back she was a crazy lunatic intent on destroying all the guardians. And King Edgar? He died years ago, or so Bunny says. Something is definitely not right here.
I asked Elsa to wait for me and quickly ran outside. I flew onto the roof and use my staff to send a emergency signal to the there guardians. They needed to be here for whatever way about to happen.
