Ice Rivals
"Training! I don't need training I'm a guardian now." Jack said as North guided him to a place he had never been before.
It was pure white. No color anywhere. There was literally nothing there. You just kept walking it felt like forever. North said it was a world that just disappeared and now it had become a training center.
"Jack every Guardian needs to figure out his or hers powers and learn what they're responsibility is."
"Didn't we cover that my center is fun I can freeze stuff and fly. What's more to learn!"
"To control it and how to make it stronger."
"I've had 300 years to control my powers."
"Yes but not your responsibleness and this way you can really show what your powers can do. Now there is one more thing I have to tell you about....."
"Hello North." A blonde young woman about Jack's age maybe a little older. She looked very composed and centered.
"Who is this?" Jack asked.
"This is your training mate Elsa. Elsa meet Jack. You two will be training together."
"Woah I did not agree to this." Jack said.
"Neither did I but I guess we'll both have to get through it." She said.
"Is she a guardian too?" He asked.
"No but she is in training to be one." North said.
"Why do we have to work together what does she do?."
Jack's feet felt stiff all of a sudden. Like they were being swallowed up by the ground. He looked down to see his feet were frozen to the flawless white ground.
"Hey!"
North laughed "I thought you two would be good together since she has ice powers as well."
"Well can she fly?"
"No she can't, but I can make ice monsters that could throw you like you were a children's play toy." Elsa said.
"That's enough you two now I will be your trainer this evening." North said "Now I want you two to make anything that comes to mind. This challenge is all about creativity and using your surroundings!"
"What surroundings?" Jack said opening up his arms "there is nothing here."
"Good gives you plenty of room." He said.
North made himself an ice chair and reached into his big red bag and pulled out a mug of milk.
Elsa began building her idea. Blasts came from her hands and icy structures began forming. Jack got to work as well. He decided to make a merry go round out of ice. He noticed Elsa had began building a castle.
"Really a castle? What so you can have your own court of snowmen?" Jack asked analyzing her work.
"If you don't mind I am trying to complete the challenge I suggest you do the same....even though it's obvious your not up to it."
"Excuse me." Jack asked.
"You're trying to distract me because you doubt your own abilities or you know I'm better."
"North are you hearings this!"
"Jack do as your told you have twenty minutes." North replied.
"Fine I'll show ice queen over here." Jack said.
He began building a Ferris wheel next to his merry go ground. He was getting pretty close to Elsa's castle and Elsa was beginning to take notice.
"Do you mind leaving your carnival on your side!"
"First of all it's an amusement park not a carnival. Second of all your distracting me you must feel threatened." He said
"I'm distracting you because you're distracting me from my work!"
"North this isn't fair!" She said.
"Elsa get back to your own work." He replied and kept sipping his milk.
"Fine you want to play it that way." She said.
She stomped her foot and the ground began to shake. Ice knights sprouted from the ground. There were at least a dozen.
"Guards protect your castle!" She ordered.
The ice knights began chipping away at the intruding Ferris wheel that had come between the castle walls.
"That is so not cool!" He shouted. He began striking the knights with his staff. Breaking them into little pieces. He began repairing his Ferris wheel and then put a roller coaster in the middle of her castle.
"I think you two are taking this a little far." North said.
They didn't listen at this time the blank dimension was starting to fill up with ice sculptures, ice soldiers, ice playgrounds.
"Enough!!!" North yelled.
The two finally stopped. They looked at North and then there surroundings. The whole dimension was now covered in ice. The only white left was snow. The rest was covered icy blue hues of the reflections of the ice creations. Knights were behind Elsa while Jack had made ice cannons
"You two need to learn how to work together! Look at what you two have created! Both of you could be amazing! Jack compliment something Elsa made."
"No."
"Jack! I mean it."
"Fine! Her ice soldiers are pretty awesome." He said.
"Elsa say something nice about Jack's work."
"You can make many different things quickly and.....I find that quite impressive." She said.
"Really?!" He asked.
"Yeah. It takes me forever just to make a castle and you already made a Ferris wheel and a merry go round and half of a roller coaster."
"Yeah well I can't make life though. You could literally have your own ice army." He said.
"Good you two are getting along see! Now next we are going to get to the real hard stuff. Ice formations you two will be making different ice patterns to measure your consistency." He said making a chalkboard.
"Hey wanna go make more ice soldiers and boats and play our own version of battleship."
"What's battleship?" She asked.
"Oh this is going to be fun come on." He whispered.
