Ice Castles
Authors note: if any of you have read mericcup dribbles remember in the chapter where Merida is trying to save Hiccup's soul so she helps Jack kick Elsa out of her ice castle....well this is after she was kicked out. I thought it would be funny lol
Elsa climbed up the North Mountain where her ice castle stood at the top. Her ice castle had been taken over by a familiar winter spirit and rival, Jack Frost. She reminded herself to cut off all ties with the Haddock's since their queen had helped Jack take over her castle with an army. It was her ice castle, she built it, not him. He could build one himself but no he just had to spite her and take hers,
She finally got up to the stairs and raced up them and pounded on the door.
"Jack Frost you give me back my Ice castle or so help me I will..."
"Do what? Freeze me to death! You can try but I don't think that will work." Jack replied refusing to open the door.
"This is my castle Jack. Get your own."
"Queen Elsa it's so cozy and I do admire your decorating. Of course I'll add touches of my own."
Elsa's face grew warm with anger. "You will do no such thing now let me in or I'll blow this door down!" She yelled.
"Touchy touchy. Fine maybe we can make a deal." Jack said opening the door a crack.
"I am in no mood for one of your deals"
"Oh but I think you'll like this one. It gives us both what we want."
"No. I want my castle back that's it." She replied crossing her arms.
Jack's smile grew wider "I always admired your stubbornness but it will get you nowhere here."
"Give me my ice castle back or I will blow this door down and freeze you like a Popsicle."
"Hmm freezing the spirit of winter now that's a trick I would love to see." Jack replied.
"Or I could thaw my castle, melt it into a puddle." Elsa said.
Jack shook his head "oh no you wouldn't do that to such an accomplishment."
"If I can't have it no one can." Elsa replied.
"Okay then listen to my deal that way you get to keep your ice castle and I get something I want deal?"
Elsa looked at him through the cracked door. She really didn't want to thaw her ice castle. She decided she would listen to the winter spirit and maybe be able to force him out herself once inside.
"Fine." She replied.
He opened the door wide open "welcome home Your Majesty!"
"Oh shut it now what's this deal?" She asked walking in and creating a chair for her to sit on.
"Well you see I want to live here." Jack said.
"Absolutely not," Elsa replied
"Hear me out. I want to live here because I would like you to visit me during the winter or anytime that you would like."
"Excuse me? You already have the Haddock's friendship why do you need mine?"
"I love Merida and Hiccup but they have their own kingdom to run miles away from here plus a baby and it gets too cold for them to come here during the winter. And I get very bored, so since you live near by and don't get cold I thought you and I could be friends." Jack explained
"Friends don't take their friends castle with an army." Elsa retorted.
"I know I know I went a little overboard but you were known for not opening doors so I had to bring something to open it."
"You could have knocked maybe?" Elsa argued.
Jack sighed "I went for a more direct approach."
"Really?! Having Scotland's army carry me out and lock me out of my own castle doesn't seem like an invitation to friendship."
"I apologize but it was fun seeing you get flustered as you are now."
Elsa glared at him "You have one minute to get out or I make this place into a puddle."
"Oh come on Snow Queen I apologized, I'm only teasing! That's what friends do they tease."
"Well I don't like it." Elsa said.
"You're telling me you don't have fun teasing me."
"When have I ever teased you? You were the one that began this feud."
"Yes but you reciprocated."
"You stole my castle!!!!!" She stood up and yelled as it began to snow inside.
"Alright fine. I admit I have my flaws. But please Elsa, I just want someone to talk to that understands my powers. Don't you want that too?"
"Maybe but not with someone that takes my things." She said.
"I promise if you let me live here and visit me from time to time I will not steal anything of yours again."
"No," Elsa replied without hesitation.
"Oh come on. What do I have to do to make you agree?" He asked.
Elsa tapped her chin "Hmm maybe you could give me my ice castle back, and leave."
"How about this. I will leave this castle." He said "If you build me my own and promise to let me visit."
"Why should I?"
"Because we both know you love this castle and don't want to destroy it. I also know that you're lonely when Anna's gone and I'm lonely when Merida and Hiccup are gone so what do you say neighbors?" He said stretching out his hand.
"My castle gets to be bigger?" She asked.
"Of course." He said.
"Fine, I guess it would be nice to have some company for the winter." Elsa shook his hand.
They stepped outside together and looked for a place to start building.
"How about the other side of the mountain," Jack asked.
"That's awfully close." Elsa joked.
"Yes but the view is still amazing." Jack said.
Elsa sighed "okay here it goes. Now give me a little slack I've only built one before and that was a while ago."
"Take all the time you need." Jack smiled and elbowed her.
Elsa concentrated and thought up a design. "Wait I just realized why can't you make your own?"
"Eh I'm not really good with architecture. I'm really good with ice patterns but ice building just not my thing."
"Fair enough." She said "you might want to stand back a little." With that she began to work.
Ice rose from underneath her feet. Pillars were made and new towers. She even put a balcony like hers near the top of Jack's castle. She made it into a circular structure representing a snowball, It reminded her of the architecture she had seen in book about Greece. Instead of an open roof though she closed it off into a cone like top.
She walked down the new made steps and went outside. "How'd I do?"
"Very nice. Where did you get the structure idea?" He asked amazed,
"Greece."
"I thought so. Thank you so much Elsa I promise to never forget this and I will enjoy seeing you."
"Yes I guess we are friends now. Just stay away from my ice castle, unless I invite you." She said.
"Yes your majesty, by the way you're welcome anytime." He said leaving to his newly built castle.
"Jack." She said.
"Yes?" He asked.
"You're invited to dinner if you would like to come," she smiled.
"I'd love to." He grinned
That is how the Snow Queen and the Winter Spirit finally became friends....and who knows maybe something more.
