House Fire | Septiplier
<3rd Person>
Mark and Jack were sitting in there house watching TV, Jack was slowly drifting off to sleep in the comfit on his husbands chest. Mark noticed it was getting a bit hot although he didn't want to disturb Jack. He tried to cuddled back down with him although managed to wake him up.
'Ah, Hun. I'm sorry.' Mark said softly, clutching Jacks hand apologetically.
'No it's okay. I was going to—'
A loud bang was heard from upstairs in Tim and Sam's room, followed by screaming from the two children. Jack sat up from his sleepy trance and rushed up the two flights of stairs, calling for them. Once he entered the room, a large spit of flames wafted towards the pre-teens beds. Sam screamed and kicked her covers.
'MARK!! CALL THE FIRE BRIGADE!!' He shouted.
'Tim! Come here quickly!' Jack said. Tim sat up in his bed and instantly fell back down into it as the floor began to break off around them.
'Tim! Common! Hurry!' Jack said reassuringly, Tim jumped off his bed and into his dad's arms.
'Go get your dad. Tell him everything will be a-okay. Alright?'
'G-Got it.' Tim squeezed his father and rushed downstairs. Jack turned to Sam and held out his arms.
'You can do this Sam. I believe in you.' Sam jumped onto Tim's bed and looked at the ceiling.
Mark was surrounded by the whole neighbourhood, they kept murmuring to themselves or telling him it would be okay. Firefighters had yet to arrive so everyone was praying nothing bad happened. Mark dropped to his knees when he was Tim running out of the house, Tim ran straight into his dad's arms and coughed weakly.
'Where's you sister.. a-and you father?' Mark asked looking around,
'He said they'd be okay.' Mark wiped ash off the boys face.
'I hope so, my lil' biscuit.' Mark said under his breath, hugging the boy closer.
'Sam, focus on me. Come here, I'll catch you I promise.' Sam took a deep breath and leapt off her brothers bed and collided with her dads sooty shirt. Jack laughed hugging Sam strongly.
'You—' a loud crack was heard above them and Jack saw the door frame was about to collapse.
'Tell your dad I love him.' Jacks said grabbing Sam's shoulders.
'Wha—?' Suddenly Sam was pushed into the hallway of the house just before something from the attic fell down, crushing the doorframe and barricading Jack in the room with the fire.
Firefighters pulled up just as something from the roof collapsed and crushed Sam and Tim's room. Everyone gasped and went dead silent. Tim whimpered into his fathers shoulder and Mark looked at the house in disbelief.
'No..' He whispered. A sharp scream was heard from the house and everyone look up to see Sam running for her life out the burning house.
'Daddy!' She cried running to him.
'Calm down sweetie. What happened? Where's you father?'
'H-He said he l-loves yo-u.' He whimpered and cried into her fathers shoulder. Mark felt his eyes build with with even more tears. He sat up and kissed the two children on their foreheads.
'I love you, I promise I'll be back.' Mark said to them as he started to run towards the burning house, everyone around them yelled and screamed for Mark to stop. Sam and Tim tried to run after him but was quickly held back by a firefighter.
'Sir! Get away from the house!' A firefighter yelled to Mark.
'My husband is still in there! I'm not gonna sit around and not do anything about that.' Mark yelled back, running quickly into the house.
Mark tore off his flannel and held it over his mouth and nose. His screams for Jack seems useless although he didn't stop trying. Mark ran through the house when he came to the stairs that had collapsed, without thinking, Mark began to haul pieces of rubble across the room in hope of finding his husband. Mark vision became blurred with some as a giant blast broke through the rubble as he threw one across the room. His hands were bloody and it hurt so much although didn't stop as this was the only place Jack would have been. Mark threw a large piece of rubble off the pile and under it was a blood red hand that was twitching ever so slightly. Mark wrapped his dirty, bleeding hand around Jacks. Tears falling from his eyes.
'Jack, baby! It's me! Mark! I love you so so so much! Please hold on! I'll get you out of here.' Mark whimpered. Jack gently tighten his grip in Marks hand.
Everyone outside was outraged. People were screaming.
'Oh, for fucks sake!'
'Go in!'
'Why aren't they helping them!?'
'What's taking so long!?'
The firefighters didn't know what to do because until the fire was under control, they couldn't go in. Sam was thrashing against the firefighters grip as Tim only cried silently while a tough grip pinched in shoulder. Sam kicked her heal back into the firefighters knee, he groaned and pushed her to her knees,
'Listen here kid, you've got to start behaving yourself or the parents will damn well die in that fire because you are delaying my help." He scowled at her, Sam clenched her fists and forced her teeth to push together painfully.
'Are you gonna behave, little girl?'
'I am not a little girl.' Sam growled, 'I am a mature lady. Much more mature that you!-' Sam got up from her knees and walked towards the crowd of people watching the flames flicker loudly, she turned her head and eyed the firefighter,
'-dickhead.'
Mark tossed rubble into the fiery mess of a hallway. He finally saw his husbands face. He looked beaten down and ill, Mark pulled him from the rubble with a huge tug. His clothes were black and red with white smudges of chalky dust. His face was smeared with blood and tears, Mark's sooty fingers left finger marks as he caressed his husbands face. Jack fell into Marks arms as he cried and coughed gently,
'Shh, shh..' He cooed. Mark looked around and looked at Jack. He was in no state to move. Mark lifted Jack over his shoulder and ran down the hallway and into the living room, the fire burned down a piece of wood that fell down at Marks feet. He ran carefully around it and got out the door as quick as possible. The door was jammed shut when Mark got to it. He took a deep breath of strong smoke and kicked the door with full force.
Mark collapsed to be he ground as soon as he had a whiff of clean air. He softened Jacks fall by hold him close. The whole group of people rushed towards them, screaming and crying. Tim and Sam pushed through the crowd and watched their parents wheeze and try and support their weight. Firefighters pushed forcefully trough the crowd and knelt by the two men. One firefighters cleaned Jacks face and looked for injuries while the other insisted Mark has an oxygen tank.
'No, no. Please. Sean needs it.' Jack looked over at Mark. He had a little gash on his lip and his face was streaky with black and red. Tears fell from his eyes and left tear streaks, clearing the soot and blood on the way down. Mark felt a pair of lips suddenly connect with his. Two small pairs of arms wrapped around him and Jack and cuddled them softly. A loving family is worth great sacrifices. Even if that sacrifice is your god damn house.
