As the sun rays peeped in through the parted screens of curtains, they fell on the father-daughter duo who were cuddled up to each other. The constant light disturbed Ira, who was sleeping on top of om. Irritated, she shook her father and told him to close the curtains. After sometime, when she didn't receive any response from her father, she lazily opened her eyes and looked at him. He was in deep sleep. It was very rare that om slept so tight. Seeing her father sleep, she decided to close the curtains by herself but after a few unsuccessful attempts she climbed the bed to wake him up. When she was about to wake him up she noticed dried tears and realized that he had gone to sleep crying. Ira climbed on top of om, bent forward and wiped his cheeks. This act of hers, disturbed om.

"good morning princess. Aaj toh aap mujhse pehle uth gayi" he said. Ira placed her head on his chest and hummed in response. After a short silence ira spoke

I: papaaa?

O:hmmm

I: aap kal raat ko roo rahe the na?

O: hmmmm

I: aap issi liye roo rahe the na kyunki ms.bakbak refused to become my mother?

"nahi bacha. It's not true" he said while getting up, making Ira sit on the edge of the bed and kneeling in front of her while petting her hair with concern.

I: i know papa you won't tell me this but mumma left you because of me and now even ms.bakbak is not ready to become my mumma.

A single tear rolled down her cheeks. Om hugged her tight and said "it's not true bacha. It's not true. From where are you learning all these things? If you speak like this next time, I won't talk to you". Unknown to them another person had joined their conversation

I(breaking the hug): toh ms.bakbak mere mumma banegi na?

O(determined): tum chahti ho ki gauri tumhari mumma banne (ira nods) toh gauri hi tumhari mumma banegi.

They hear somebody clap and turn around to see gauri there, clapping with tears flowing from her eyes.

Shocked to see gauri there om asked "gauri tum yahan?" but gauri mistakes his shock for some thing else

She wipes her tears and asks "kyun shocked ho?" when om opens his mouth to say something gauri stops him by showing her hand. "ira go from here" she tells. Ira looks at her father who nods telling her to leave. She understands that it is something serious and leaves.

"gauri, what's..." he starts but stops when gauri asks him to stop. "how could you do this to me Omkara? Kal jab tum aaye the i thought what's wrong with him isn't he happy after breaking my heart. But after speaking to you i thought ok maybe he had rejected me due to his past, now that he has realized his mistake let me forgive him. I thought to give us a chance. First I thought to tell this over a call but then I thought no let's talk face to face. And thank God I came here or else I wouldn't have known that you wanted to marry me only cause of ira" she paused and wiped her tears. Realization dawned him. He realized that she had heard him and Ira speak. He wasn't sure how much she heard but he was sure that she misunderstood him.

O: gauri tum galat samaj rahi ho

G(cutting him): galat toh main ab tak soch rahi thi. I was thinking ki you loved me but no. You wanted this marriage only cause Ira wanted me to become her mumma.

O: gauri please ek baar..... (stops seeing gauri showing her hand)

G(wiping her tears): nahi sunna mujhe kuch bhi. Thanks for breaking my belief, that you are different from other men, that you loved me. Thanks for breaking my heart. Again.

Gauri walks out of the mansion crying while om follows her and requests her to listen to him for once. But she sits in her car and drives off. Om falls on his knees and cries. "ek baar meri baat sun leti toh itni badi misunderstanding create hi nahi hoti". Rudra who was coming back from his morning walks sees om sitting devastated and hugs him tight. "O kya hua? Aap ayse kyun bethe ho? Kuch toh bolo O?" "gauri" he mumbles a single word and rudra understands. "aap chahe toh main yah Shivaay bhaiya unse baat kare?" he nods frantically "jo bhi karna hai main karunga. Tum dono beech mein nahi aaoge. Promise me" "par O..." he begins but om cuts him in the middle and whispers tierd "promise me rudra" not willing to see his brother in a broken state he nods his head.

Sooo sorry for such a late update. I know this is short too. As a compensation I will be giving another update by tonight and then chumantar again.
