That night the whole oberoi family was seated on the dining table for dinner. Like always rudra and ira were up to their own masti and others were laughing at their antics. Om spoke making the surrounding serious

O: dadi mujhe aap se kuch baat karni hai.

D: haan bol puttar

O: kya aap gauri ki dadi maa se mere aur gauri ke rishte ki baat karengi?

ShivRu chocked on their food seeing how direct om was while others were trying to make out what was just said.

J(to no one in particular): kya aap sab ne wahi suna jo maine suna.

O: yes mom. Sab ne wohi suna. I love gauri and I want to marry her. What is wrong in it?

T: are you serious?you are asking what is wrong... You have already spoiled your own life and now you are trying to spoil that girls life too?

D:shut up tej (to om) om shaadi koi gudda guddi ka khel nahi hai. Ek baar aur soch lo.

O: maine achche se soch liya hai dadi. Gauri is the one for me.

T(sarcastically): kuch saal pehle bhi tumhi ne kaha tha "ridhima is the one for me" aur ab dekho.

O: i know Mr Oberoi. Par iss time last time ke tarah kuch nahi hoga. I guarantee you that.

S: par om shaadi doo logon ke bich hoti hai.....

R: aur gauri di ne mana kar diya toh.

O: I just wanna try rudra. Agar usne mana kar diya toh main usse force nahi karunga.

D: if you say so.... Jhanvi, kal subha tum om ka rishta leke gauri ke ghar jaaogi.

The next day morning Jhanvi, om and ira were at the door of Gauri's house. Om was extremely nervous but one look at Ira's excitement and all his nervousness vanished. Jhanvi rang the door bell and few seconds later gauri opened the door. She was pleasantly surprised to see the trio, especially om. She hugged Jhanvi warmly and welcomed them in. When Jhanvi asked her about her grandmother, she went in to call her. Once her grandmother came out, they exchanged greetings and settled themselves down. All this while, gauri was carefully avoiding om's gaze which was on her since the time he came. "why is he here? And why is he staring at me like this? This is getting awkward" she thought and excused herself to get some snacks, finally away from om's sight.

Dm: kya baat hai Jhanvi. Tum log yahan. Woh bhi achanak.

J: woh auntyji hum gauri ka haath mangne aaye hai, Omkara ke liye. That day gauri was telling that you were searching for a good match for her..... So we thought, why let such a good chance go.

Dm(after thinking for some time): dekho bhai, i have known Omkara since his childhood, though not personally, but I know that he is a very good person (om looks down feeling guilty thinking that she doesn't about his drug phase) it's a yes from my side but the final decision will be Gauri's.

As if on cue gauri comes out of the kitchen with a tray of juices, oblivious to the talk going on. She walks towards om, who had again glued his eyes on her, and hands him a glass of juice. Then she about to serve ira but ira, in excitement jumps up and her hand hits the tray. Gauri looses the grip is on the tray and some juice falls on jhanvi.

G: oh shit. I'm so so so sorry aunty

J:nahi gauri it's not your fault.

O: ira kitni baar kaha hai ke inta zyada uchal kud nahi karte. Abhi lag jaati toh.

I(making a cute face): sorry papa. Agli baar nahi hoga.

J(standing up): main clean karke aati hoon.

G: come with me I'll show you the washroom.

O: mom, take ira with you. She has spilled some juice upon her self.

Gauri, jhanvi and Ira leave to Gauri's room for cleaning up and an awkward silence remained between om and Gauri's dadi maa. Om noticed dadi maa's scrutinizing gaze directed towards him and became uncomfortable but then he decided to open up about his past to her.

O: mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai.
