Dooku and some other men gathered in the dining hall, drinking what little hot liquid could be spared.
"It's getting colder by the minute." Dooku said, exhaling a cloud of cold air. "If we don't do something soon, we'll all freeze to death."
Morpha came to meet Dooku and the others in the room.
"Countess Morpha."
"Prince Carmine is...dead." Morpha feigned sadness.
"What?" Dooku and the others gasped.
"What happened to him?"
Morpha allowed the men to sit her down to speak.
"He was killed... by Crown Prince Anakin."
The others gasped in disbelief.
"His own twin brother?" Dooku gasped.
"I just couldn't save him in time. At least we got to confess our love, and say our marriage vows before he died in my arms."
"There can be no doubt now." Dooku said. "Crown Prince Anakin is a monster, and we are all in grave danger."
"Countess Morpha," said one man. "Coruscant looks to you."
Morpha showed sadness in her face, but in her mind she was smirking.
"With a heavy heart, I charge Crown Prince Anakin of Coruscant with treason, and sentence him to death."
In the dungeon, Anakin saw the rest of the cell starting to freeze. He had an idea.
Anakin concentrated and began pulling the chains with all his might, when he heard guards talking outside in the hall!
"It's frozen shut!" said one guard.
"Put your back into it!" said another.
Anakin made some briars block the door to give him more time. He had to hurry!
Just as the guards finally opened the door, the cell collapsed. Most of it did, anyway. Morpha entered and spotted a big hole in the wall, Anakin missing from the cell.
"NO!" Morpha growled.

Meanwhile, in their cell, Caroline, Carmine, Kara, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan were beside themselves. The kingdom was in grave danger and they were all trapped in a dungeon.
Caroline was crying most of all.
"It's my fault. I couldn't save him." Caroline said. "I know we haven't been together very long but... I really thought we were destined to be together."
"No one said finding romantic true love would be easy." Kara said. "Tell me, Caroline. What made you believe Carmine was the one for you?"
Caroline thought back to when she first met Carmine. Around other women, Carmine felt insecure about wearing his glasses, making music, and pretty much anything else. But with Caroline, Carmine opened up. Caroline thought Carmine was everything women should seek in a man. He was sensitive, sweet, kind, humble, and when he was able to be himself, he proved to be lots of fun and a gentleman too.
"It wasn't just that we shared common interests. Whenever I'm with him, I feel that I've found myself closer to what gives my life purpose."
Kara couldn't help finding it so touching that Caroline felt such a way about her little brother. Padme felt the same about what Caroline said; those very feelings were very much the way she felt about her Anakin. How she wanted nothing more than to be able to hold him and kiss him right now, and let him know everything would be alright.
But what could they do?
It was then, Caroline had an epiphany.
"No. I can't just sit here and wait while the man I love, the men we all love are in danger. To each of us, the twins are someone we love. Each one is a husband, brother, or friend to one of each of us. If it were us in danger, they'd stop at nothing to help us, wouldn't they?"
Kara had to admit. Carmine could be a bit of a scaredy-cat, but he knew how to fight for his family.
"That's very admirable of you, Caroline." Kara said. "Except... we don't have a way out of this dungeon."
It was true; they didn't have anything useful to pick the locks or break down the walls with. All they had were a husky dog, two Jedi with blocked powers, and an injured speed queen. And a tray with food and a couple of forks.
"Hmm... I wonder. Queen Kara! Your super speed can do more than help you run fast, can't it?"
"Yes... and...?"
Caroline presented the forks to Kara.
"May the forks be with you."
Kara then started to see what Caroline was going at.

Meanwhile, Carmine was still freezing, alone in the cold dark room, the roof beginning to freeze too. Suddenly, the door started to go BOOM! and shake like someone was trying to break it down.
"Help." Carmine said weakly.
The door boomed again, and then CRASH! A breakthrough! Literally. And on the other side of the door was Winter.
"Carmine!" exclaimed Winter.
Carmine looked even worse now! His hair was completely white now.
"Oh no."
Winter had to do something and fast!
Winter quickly moved some dry logs into the fireplace, then she found a match and picked it up with her teeth so she could rub it against the bricks surrounding the fireplace and reignite the flames.
"Winter?" Carmine gasped and at the same time Winter gasped at the sight of the flames.
"Winter. Get away from there." Carmine begged the snow pony.
But Winter was so intrigued.
"Wow! So this is heat. I love it." Winter reached her icy hoof in, only to whinny when it started to steam. "But don't touch it!"
Winter grabbed Carmine by the back of his cloak with her teeth and dragged him over to the fireplace so he could warm up.
"Where's Kara? And the others?" Winter asked.
"Countess Morpha trapped them." Carmine said. "She wanted to use me to take over Coruscant, and now she's gonna do it."
"What?! She can't do that."
"Please, Winter, you can't stay here. You'll melt."
"I'm not leaving until we find some other act of true love to save you."
Winter paced around the room, trying to think of a way to help Carmine.
"Hmm... I guess the question we oughta ask first is what is true love?"
"I don't know." Carmine said. "I thought I had it with Caroline, but kissing her... didn't work."
"Hmm... well, I don't know everything about romance, except that when a man and a woman come together, there's more to their love than saying they're together. But, I do know love, be it between friends or siblings... it means putting someone else's needs before yours. Like, you know, how Caroline stayed beside you to look for Anakin, and tried to find another way to help when a kiss didn't work."
Carmine gasped.
"Caroline... really does love me?"
"Wow, you really don't know anything about love, do you?" Winter said, a little water dripping from her face.
"Winter, you're melting."
"Some people are worth melting for." Winter said with a sad smile.
Carmine felt a sad but happy tear fall from his eye as he felt how much Winter loved him too.
Winter quickly backed away from the fire as her ears started melting too.
"Maybe just not right this second."
Suddenly, the window opened and let in some cold air, and freezing Carmine more.
"Don't worry! I got it."
Winter rushed over to close the window, when she spotted something in the distance.
"Wait... Carmine... do butterflies usually fly in the winter?"
Carmine was a little confused by that question.
"No... why?"
"'Cause I see a really big one out there. Hold on."
Winter bit an icicle hanging from outside, then nipped off the sharp end so she could look through the rest like a telescope. And there, in the distance, she saw...
"It's Artoo, and he's with the Jedi and the werewolves!"
"He... he is?"
"Yeah, and some really big blue butterfly lady."

Earlier...
Kara took the two forks Caroline gave her and started to speedily scrape the walls and make an opening. She was fast and able to make a hole, but there wasn't enough time to make one big enough for a human to get through. But there was enough space for a husky dog to squeeze through.
Padme removed her japor snippet from her neck and placed it around Artoo, and Caroline did the same with her swan necklace.
"Artoo... go to the werewolves and the Jedi. Bring them back here." Padme said. "You're our only hope."
"You can do it, Artoo. Huskies are born to tread through the snow. Do this, if not for us, for Anakin."
Artoo barked, then he squeezed through the hole, and ran as fast as he could to get to the forest to find the Jedi and the werewolves.
Meanwhile, in the forest, Garrett went to speak to his wife Mariposa. She was a beautiful human woman, except she had blue monarch butterfly wings, as well as powers of her own.
Mariposa specialized in earth types of spells. She could make plants grow, communicate with butterflies and other insects, and she knew what plants to combine in order to help heal the sick and injured.
After Carmine and his friends left, Garrett went to his wife to tell her about what happened, and Mariposa decided to do some investigating of her own. She performed a ritual that allowed her to communicate with the plants, and they told her something awful.
"My sister is attempting to overthrow Coruscant!" She announced to the entire clan.
No one could believe their ears when Mariposa came in and told them.
You see, when Mariposa's father hid her to protect her from her sisters, he placed her with the werewolves. And Ashina introduced Mariposa to her son Garrett. Queen Ashina agreed to form an alliance with Mariposa's family and help their kingdom if her father agreed Mariposa and Garrett would get married. Garrett and Mariposa didn't argue, and they wed.
"Are you sure it's your sister?" Ashina asked.
"Positive. The plants sense danger in Coruscant. She's grown more powerful."
Suddenly, there was the sound of a dog barking.
It was Artoo!
"It's the royal family's dog." Garrett said, getting a whiff of the dog. That was when he noticed the princesses' necklaces around the dog's neck. "Artoo, what are you doing here?"
Artoo barked and barked and barked, the werewolves being the only ones who could understand him.
"It's worse than we thought." Mariposa said once her husband translated for the others.
Master Yoda only saw one option.
"To Coruscant we must head. Aid in the battle, we shall."

Present...
Carmine smiled when he realized what was going on. He figured Artoo must've escaped and gone for help.
"Winter, help me up." Carmine said.
"No, no, no!" Winter stopped Carmine from moving. "You need to stay by the fire and keep warm."
"I need to get out there."
"Why?"
"To help Anakin. I may not have magic, but I might know a way to calm him."
Winter thought that might be a good idea, especially when she looked up and saw icicles starting to form in the ceiling, making it even colder inside.
Winter immediately got Carmine onto her back and rushed him out of the room as more ice began to fill the halls!
A bunch of icicles formed the way Winter was running, so she tried going the other way, but that way was blocked too!
"We're trapped!" Winter said.
"There's gotta be a way out!" Carmine said.
Carmine could barely scream, but he had to try something. Carmine tried calling for help, though not very loudly. He took a deep breath and shouted a little louder, but still not quite loud enough. And then... Carmine tried something he didn't usually do in front of anyone.
Carmine took the biggest breath he could, and... he vocalized a very loud song at a high pitch that had Winter covering her ears with her hooves. The noise was so loud, the icicles shook and began to crack. And CRASH! All of the ice shattered like glass.
Winter was astonished when she saw what Carmine had done.
"How did you do that?" Winter gasped.
"I didn't even know I could sing that high." Carmine shrugged, equally surprised.
Meanwhile, Anakin was running for his life. He didn't know where he would go now. They'd found him in the mountains, and now his sister was gone, his kingdom was one giant frozen garden, and now he was passing through a blizzard that was powerful enough to make it hard even for him to move.

Morpha, however, began executing her plan. You see, with that potion she drank, it gave her the power to create magical silver moths that could survive even the coldest weather. And she intended to use them to enslave everyone in Coruscant.
"Fly, my pretties. Get them all!" Morpha instructed. "Capture my slaves. Mommy's got one more problem to take care of."
Ventress gave Morpha her lightsaber to take Anakin out for good.
Winter managed to jump through a window with Carmine and start sliding down the snowy roofs with the prince on her back.
The werewolves and Jedi, meanwhile, split up to save the day. One team followed Artoo to the castle to break Carmine's friends out of the dungeon, while Winter and Carmine rushed to get to Anakin.
Winter trudged through the winds as Carmine called for his brother. Anakin didn't seem to answer. Carmine knew something he could try. If it worked when he and his siblings were kids, it would surely work now.
Carmine:
Every time I think I'm closer to the heart
Of what it means to know just who I am
I think I've finally found a better place to start
But no one ever seems to understand
Carmine thought only of how much he loved his brother and looked around for him, hoping singing a song to him would help him settle down, and calm the storm too.
I need to try to get to where you are
Could it be you're not that far?
Anakin wasn't even just Carmine's brother. He was his twin! His other half from before they were even born! Without him, their family just wasn't the same.
You're the voice I hear inside my head
The reason that I'm singing
I need to find you
I gotta find you
You're the missing piece I need
The song inside of me
I need to find you
I gotta find you
Oh, yeah
Yea-yeah
Anakin still didn't seem to answer, but Winter felt funny as she continued to trudge through the storm.
Carmine called for Anakin again, then started to shiver again. He looked at his hands. They started to turn white with blue at the tips of his fingers.
"No!" Carmine gasped. "Move faster, Winter!"
"I'm trying!" Winter shouted.
Winter started to run as fast as she could as the ice started to crack below her hooves.
Winter gasped as the ice cracked faster.
"Go, Carmine! Save your brother!"
And Winter tossed Carmine off her back just in time, as the ice cracked beneath Winter's hooves and sent her into the icy water below.
"WINTER!" Carmine cried.
As agonized as Carmine was, he knew Winter would want him to keep going. So, he did.
"Anakin!" Carmine called weakly.

Carmine didn't know then, that someone else entered the storm, looking for him.
"Carmine!" Caroline called, riding on Harmony's back.
Obi-Wan and Padme rushed out, looking for Anakin and/or Carmine too. They split up to look in different places, while the Jedi and werewolves rushed in to fight Morpha's moths.

Anakin struggled to remain standing in the storm, and that was when he spotted Countess Morpha approaching him.
"Anakin! You can't run from this!" Morpha shouted.
Anakin looked at Morpha and said, "Just take care of my brother."
"Your brother? He returned from the mountain weak and cold. He said that you froze his heart."
Anakin's eyes went wide; Master Yoda had warned his family about this years ago.
"No."
"I tried to save him, but it was too late. His skin was ice. His hair turned white. Your twin brother is dead. Because of you."
Anakin froze in place for a moment, and in tears, he fell down to his knees on the ice. As Anakin dropped, the storm ceased blowing its strong winds.

Carmine was still shivering. Still, he persisted in searching for his brother. He didn't see Anakin, but he did see...
"Caroline?"
"Carmine!" Caroline immediately urged Harmony to run over to Carmine.
Carmine wanted so desperately to hold Caroline in his arms right there, but then, he heard the sound of a laser igniting. Carmine looked behind him and saw Anakin, and Morpha! She held a lightsaber up and prepared to raise it! She was going to kill Anakin!
Carmine knew he had to do something. Quickly, he rushed over to get between Morpha and Anakin.
On instinct, Carmine started to vocalize another tune and his hand began glowing a golden light. And before Morpha could strike, Carmine threw out his hand, hitting Morpha with a powerful force that sent her falling to the ice and knocking her unconscious, which also made her lose control over her magic. But although Morpha was stopped, Carmine quickly froze into a statue of ice.
Anakin looked up and saw the ice statue, but when he caught sight of what or rather who, it was...
"Carmine!"
Anakin stood up and caressed. Carmine's now frozen face.
"Oh, Carmine! No, no! Please, no."
Anakin hugged his brother's statue and started to cry. The others gasped when they saw what had become of Carmine. The Jedi and werewolves may have stopped Morpha's moths, but they couldn't stop Carmine's heart from freezing.
No magic cold undo this disaster. Anakin continued to cry and hug his brother, blaming himself for all that had happened, especially to his family. But then, something miraculous happened.
From Carmine's heart, a new magic started to happen. Caroline was first to notice and gasp. The others noticed too, and then Anakin felt movement. Anakin looked up and saw...
"Carmine!" Anakin immediately hugged his little brother as he was no unfrozen.
"Oh, Anakin." Carmine said happily.
"You sacrificed yourself for me?" Anakin said in disbelief.
"I love you."
"An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart." Padme said, remembering what Queen Ashina said earlier.
"Love will thaw?" Anakin said, and then he realized what needed to be done. "Love. Of course."
Anakin couldn't believe he didn't think of this before. The answer was right in front of him all along! It was just what Padme had been trying to tell him.
"Anakin?" said Carmine.
"Love!" Anakin said.
(Cue: "The Great Thaw (Vuelie Reprise)")
Anakin concentrated, thinking only of his loved ones, and little by little, the ice began to disappear from all around.
All across the kingdom, people couldn't believe their eyes as the ice and snow began to vanish, and all the blue sharp briars turned green and grew beautiful pink, yellow, white, and red roses. Every single frost plant transformed into a green, beautiful spring (or rather summer) plant.
Anakin called all the frost to one spot, it all coming together into one big snowflake, which he dispersed.
Carmine smiled at his twin and said, "I knew you could do it."
"Ani." Padme smiled.
"Padme," Anakin wrapped his arms around his wife with a guilty look on his face. "I'm so sorry. For everything. You deserve so much better than how I treated you before. You should... find a man who can give you what you need."
Padme caressed Anakin's cheek and said. "I already have."
And for the first time in forever, Padme and Anakin shared a passionate kiss.
Carmine felt glad for his brother being back with his love.
"It's just too bad about Winter." Carmine said, frowning.
"I think she would be proud of all of you." Caroline said.
"I'd be grateful if someone could give me a little help here!" said a familiar voice.
It couldn't be... could it?
Everyone looked down to see something in the water. It was Winter!
Now that Obi-Wan was out of his restraints, he could telepathically lift Winter out of the water and onto the ship.
Winter shook herself, everyone groaning as they got wet.
"Who'da guessed snow ponies could learn to swim?" Winter said now that she was dry.
"They couldn't." Anakin said, squeezing some water from his cape.
But then everyone looked at Winter and saw she looked different... and she felt different too.
"Wait, why does your horn look different?" Carmine said, grabbing Winter's horn.
"Ouch! Okay, that hurt." Winter said, snorting.
But that was also when the others discovered Winter's horn wasn't a parsnip anymore. It was a for real unicorn horn, and the white stuff on her body wasn't snow, but fur! And her wings weren't made of petals anymore, but feathers.
"Winter... you're.... You're real!" Anakin said.
"You're a real alicorn!" Padme said. "But, how is that possible?"
The others were confused. As far as they knew, Anakin hadn't stood close enough to Winter at anytime to perform a spell.
"You know, it's funny. Carmine sang a song when we were looking for you." Winter told Anakin. "He thought it would calm you down, and then I felt funny."
"Carmine actually sang in front of someone?" Anakin said.
Carmine's face flushed at that. It was well-known that Carmine never sang in front of anyone growing up, but they knew he had a beautiful voice because everyone had heard him singing from behind closed doors before. Then there was Carmine being able to sing high enough to shatter glass, and when Carmine sang a song to stop Morpha...
"Wait, does this mean Carmine has magic?" Ahsoka said.
Carmine looked at his hands curiously. He'd tried casting spells before his memories were erased, according to Anakin, but was found to have no powers. Until now.
The others started to think, maybe Carmine had powers all along, but they never saw it because Carmine never performed in front of anyone. But when he did, and he did so with such passion, his song could create something wonderful... like turning a snow pony into a real pony.
"Musical magic... that's a new one." Carmine thought out loud.
Morpha groaned as she started to come to... and she was shocked to see Carmine alive.
"Carmine? But, he froze your heart." Morpha said.
"The only frozen heart around here is yours.' Carmine said. "Ladies?"
Caroline punched Morpha in her gut, and Padme punched Morpha in the face, sending her falling into the ocean, unable to use her magic or her moth wings now that she was drenched.
"Maybe now you'll think twice about messing with my husband!" Padme said.
Anakin smiled. Padme's feisty side never ceased to be attractive to him.
