Facing the Past

_______________________________

Myra stood in a grassy field by herself. Actually, she paced in circles, talking to herself. She didn't know what to think. She'd spent so much time away from her past, but somehow it just never seemed to leave her alone. If it wasn't nightmares when she was sleeping, it was memories being triggered while she was awake, and now her old friends found their way back to her after almost a decade and a half apart. But now that her past caught up to her in the form of her friends telling her that her childhood home was in danger, she didn't know what to do. She was sure that even if she did go back and stop Walter, everyone would just kick her out all over again when they realized her mother died trying to save Myra.

"They're wrong. I can't go back," said Myra. "What would it prove, anyway? It won't change anything. You can't change the past."

Myra looked up at the stars and remembered back when she was little when her parents told her about the Jedi and royals of the past who would watch over her from above.

"You said you'd always be there for me! But you're not."

Myra started to cry, when she suddenly caught something sparkling above her. A shooting star! Myra gasped. She remembered seeing one just like that when she was little, and she remembered what her father had said that very night: "When you see a shooting star, it is never truly by coincidence or luck. It's because that star chose you to see it."

But Myra began to question whether that was true. She started to cry again, wishing so much that her mother were there to hug her and comfort her like she always used to do.

Myra opened her talisman again and looked at the picture of her mom, wondering what she would say if she knew where her one and only daughter was tonight.

Myra:

Where has the starlight gone?

Dark is the day

How can I find my way home?

Myra felt the winds rushing through her hair as though they were trying to communicate with her. She walked through the tall grass as the wind blew through them too.

Home is an empty dream

Lost to the night

Mother, I feel so alone

You promised you'd be there

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

Myra looked up to the stars, praying for answers, but feeling frustrated when nothing came as soon as she wanted.

You're not anywhere

I'm trying to hold on

Just waiting to hear your voice

One word, just a word will do

To end this nightmare

When will the dawning break

Oh endless night

Sleepless I dream of the day

When you were by my side

Guiding my path

Myra picked up a rock with the Force and threw it across a river she came across, the rock skipping across the water.

Mother, I can't find the way

You promised you'd be there

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

You're not anywhere

I'm trying to hold on

Just waiting to hear your voice

One word, just a word will do

To end this nightmare

Chorus:

I know that the night must end

And that the sun will rise

And that the sun will rise

I know that the clouds must clear

And that the sun will shine

And that the sun will shine

Myra:

And I know that the night must end

And that the sun will rise

And that the sun will rise

I know that the clouds must clear

And that the sun will shine

And that the sun will shine

Fireflies started to fill the air, flying around Myra as the winds got stronger. The fireflies seemed to form a group, and Myra, for reasons she didn't know or care about, started to run after them.

I know

Yes, I know

The sun will rise

Yes, I know

I know

The clouds must clear

I know that the night must end

I know that the sun will rise

And I'll hear your voice deep inside

I know that the night must end

And that the clouds must clear

The sun

The sun will rise

The sun

The sun will rise

Myra found that the fireflies only led her deeper within the tall grasses, and she was farther away from Hakuna Matata. The princess groaned as she realized she was lost. Now she wasn't sure where she was more lost in, the grass or her emotions.

"Great. I broke the most important rule of being in a crisis. Do not go into the light, Myra!" Myra scolded herself.

Then Myra looked down again and thought about her mom.

"It's because of me. It's my fault. It's all my fault."

Myra started to cry again, when she heard someone singing a funny little song.

Asante sana, squash banana

Myra looked up into a nearby tree and spotted some baboon she didn't recognize at first in the trees. Not caring who it was at the moment, Myra just rolled her eyes and started to walk away, wanting some peace and quiet.

_______________________________

Myra walked across a log and looked down into the river below, seeing her reflection, and seeing how much she resembled her mother. Myra took on her lioness form so she could lay down, when someone suddenly threw a rock into the water, startling Myra and making her fall into the water.

Myra popped out of the water, coughing and sputtering while the same baboon was in another tree, singing and laughing again, swinging on a vine.

"Oh, you think that's funny, do you?" Myra said. "How about I come up there and make you cut it out?"

"If you cut it out, it will only grow back." said the baboon. "It may grow slow, but it will grow."

Myra wasn't startled by the baboon talking because she noticed his talisman. She just rolled her eyes again, pulled herself out from the water and shook it off before walking away again, this time in her human form, only to find the baboon following her.

"Creepy monkey. Will you stop following me?" Myra said. "Who are you?"

"The question is, who are you?"

Myra growled at the baboon and held him close to her face menacingly. The baboon didn't seem frightened, though.

"Maybe just the girl who'll pound you into next year if you don't answer me first!"

So, the baboon took on his real form, revealing Master Sinube underneath.

"You were merely a child the last time I saw you," smiled the old Cosian.

Myra dropped Sinube with a yelp.

"That is the problem of many youths. Alway in such a hurry." Sinube said. "I will ask again. Who are you?"

"I thought I knew." Myra said. "Now I'm not so sure."

"Well, I know who you are. Shh. Come here. It's a secret."

Myra waited for Sinube to tell her the secret, but he just started to sing his crazy little song again, which only provoked Myra more.

"Grr! Enough of that stupid song! What's that supposed to mean, anyway?"

"It means you are a baboon."

"Excuse me?! I'll show you who's a baboon around here!"

Myra tried to pounce Sinube, but for a guy who moved slowly, he only needed to step aside to dodge Myra's attack.

"Hmph! Coward."

"Wrong! I'm not the one who's a coward. You don't even know who you are."

"Oh, and I suppose you do. Like you said, you haven't seen me since I was little, and clearly, I'm not little anymore. See? No more pigtails."

"Your hair has grown, but you have not yet done so yourself."

"What?"

Myra was just getting more confused by the minute. Feeling she'd had enough of this old man's confusing mumbo jumbo talk, Myra started to walk away.

"You have grown physically, but no matter how big you are, you will always be Brenda's little girl."

That made Myra freeze.

"Goodbye."

Sinube started to walk away too. Quickly, Myra started to go after him, but for a guy who moved slowly, he immediately showed to be good at disappearing.

"Hey, wait!" Myra exclaimed.

She ran until she spotted Master Sinube sitting on a rock, meditating.

"You knew my mother?"

"Correction, I know your mother." Sinube said, not opening his eyes.

Myra sighed. How Master Sinube would be unaware of Queen Brenda's death, she may never know.

"I hate to tell you this, but she died a long time ago."

"Nope. Wrong again!"

Myra's eyes snapped open when Sinube said that, and made his way to some tangled tree roots.

"She's alive, and I will show her to you. Follow, old Master Sinube, he will show you the way."

Myra gasped. Her mother was alive?! Myra knew she couldn't slip up this chance. Without waiting for permission, Myra immediately started to follow Sinube through the trees. But, even in her human form, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. Again, for someone who moved slowly, Sinube was hard for Myra to keep up with.

"Do not dawdle, Princess. Hurry up!" Sinube said, taking off.

"Hey, whoa, wait, wait!"

"Come on! Come on! What happened to the speed I saw earlier?"

"Would you take your own advice and slow down?!" Myra exclaimed.

Myra started to Force push away vines, rocks, and branches, trying to keep up with the surprisingly speedy Cosian, until he held out his hand and shouted for her to stop.

Myra screeched to a stop.

Sinube shushed Myra and guided her to some tall grass, some of which he'd pulled apart.

"Look down there," whispered Sinube.

Myra wasn't sure why Sinube would show her her mother here. But, she slowly walked in and looked down, only to see a small pond, in which she spotted her reflection.

If Myra didn't think Sinube was crazy before, she certainly thought he had to be now. Sure, she looked like her mom, but the fact that she had her father's eyes and that she was younger made it obvious she wasn't Queen Brenda.

"That's not my mother. It's just my reflection." Myra sighed.

"No." Sinube held Myra's chin in his hand. "Look harder."

Myra looked down at the water again, this time looking a little harder, unsure what to expect. This time, to her great surprise, Myra started to see her mother.

"You see? She lives in you."

Suddenly, Myra heard a voice she hadn't heard in years.

"Myranda..." called the voice, the voice echoing through the air.

Myra gasped, and she looked up.

"Mom?"

The clouds began to group together, and in them, Myra could see an image forming, and image of a woman Myra hadn't seen in years, but recognized the moment she saw her face.

"Myra, you have forgotten me," said Brenda's ghost.

"No. How could I?" Myra shook her head.

"You have forgotten who you are, and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Myra. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life."

"How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be. I've messed up so much."

"Remember who you are. You are my daughter and the one true queen. Remember who you are."

The wind blew through Myra's hair; it felt much like how Brenda would run her fingers through Myra's hair sometimes to comfort her as a child. But then, Brenda's ghost started to disappear.

"No! Please, don't leave me!" Myra started to run in the direction the clouds were blowing.

Brenda's voice saying "Remember" echoed in the air, the only response Myra's pleading received.

"Mommy! Don't leave me." Myra begged again, this time starting to cry again as her mother disappeared again.

Myra was interrupted as Sinube popped in and said, "What was that?"

Sinube chuckled.

"The weather. Very peculiar, don't you think?"

"Yeah. Looks like the winds are changing." Myra said, wiping her tears away.

"Ah, yes. Change is good."

"Not all of them. They're not easy either. I know what I have to do, but going back means I'll have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long."

Suddenly, Master Sinube whacked Myra on her head with his cane.

"Ouch! Didn't your mother tell you never to hit girls?!" Myra said angrily. "Why would you do that?"

"It doesn't matter. It's in the past." Sinube said.

"Maybe, but it still hurts." Myra rubbed her head with a wince. "I better not be bleeding."

Myra checked her hand. No blood.

"Oh, yes. The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it."

Sinube tried to whack Myra again, but this time she ducked and threatened to beat Sinube to death with it if he tried a third time.

"Ah! You see? So what are you going to do?"

"Well first, I'm gonna take your stick."

And as promised, Myra took Sinube's cane and threw it into the mud.

"No, no, no! Not the stick!"

Sinube grabbed his cane out from the mud, it being all dirty. Talk about a stick in the mud. But then he looked behind him and saw Myra running away in her lion form.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

"I'm going back!" Myra shouted.

"Good! Go on! Get out of here!"

Morning soon came, and all the Batch were fast asleep in their resting areas underneath their favorite tree.

However, the Batch was soon woken up by a familiar male lion, as well as a cheetah, alicorn, another male lion, and a leopard that looked like he was wearing glasses.

Everyone screamed as they thought a bunch of predators had come to eat them... but then all of the new animals took on their biped forms except the alicorn.

"Hey, calm down!" Vince exclaimed.

"It's okay! It's just us!" Anakin said.

"Don't ever do that again!" Hunter groaned. "Carnivores."

"I'm an herbivore, actually." Comedia said. "But that's not why we're here."

"Have any of you seen Myra?" Ahsoka asked.

"We thought she was with Vince." Omega said.

"She was, but we got into a fight last night, and now we can't find her." Vince said.

"Ho! Ho! You won't find her here!" said a new, but familiar voice.

And that voice came from a green baboon sitting up in the trees.

"The queen has returned."

Suddenly, the frowns on each Jedi and Vince's faces were turned upside down.

"I can't believe it." Vince said. "She's gone back!"

"Gone back? What do you mean?" said Boba.

Vince looked to where Sinube was, only to find he was gone.

"Hey, what's goin' on?" Wrecker said. "Who's the monkey?"

"Myra went back to challenge Walter." Anakin said.

"Who?"

"Walter."

"Wall to what?" Crosshair said, still waking up.

"No, it's her uncle." Carmine said.

"The monkey's her uncle?" Wrecker said, confused.

"No!" Ahsoka said impatiently. "Myra's gone back to challenge her uncle to take her place as queen."

Now the Batch understood what the others were saying.

_______________________________

(Cue: "Busa")

Myra ran and ran and ran through the desert under a hot blazing sun. Her determination was stronger than ever. No hot weather was going to stop her from running and confronting her past or saving what remained of her home or her family.

_______________________________

Myra eventually came up on some dry, dark, gray lands that reminded her of the elephant graveyard. She couldn't believe her eyes!

Myra knew the land was in trouble, but she had no idea it was this bad. It was even worse than she'd imagined. There were bones everywhere, trees and plants were dead and wilted, the rivers were all dried up, and when she stood up on a big rock, she could see her house in the distance. Even that place looked drab and lifeless.

"Oh. My. Force." Myra gasped. "It's worse than I thought."

"Myra! Wait up!" said a familiar voice.

Myra looked behind her and saw a familiar lion with a dirty blonde mane running in her direction, and he wasn't alone.

"It's awful, isn't it?" Vince said.

"I didn't want to believe you." Myra sighed.

"What made you come back?"

"I finally got some sense knocked into me, and I've got the bump to prove it. Besides, this is my kingdom. If I don't fight for it, who will?"

"I will." Vince walked a little closer to Myra.

"It's gonna be dangerous."

"Danger? Ha! I laugh in the face of danger. Ha ha ha!"

Myra stifled a laugh, recalling how she'd said those exact words long ago.

"They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Comedia said.

"Well, I see nothing funny about this," said Hunter.

"Hunter! Guys!" Myra said happily. "What are you doing here?"

"At your service, my liege." Wrecker bowed.

Crosshair looked around at the land, disgusted by what he saw.

"We're really gonna fight your uncle for this?"

"It used to be more beautiful," said Comedia.

"Yes, Crosshair, we are. This is my home." Myra said.

"It's our home." Vince said.

"Talk about your fixer-upper!" Echo said.

"Technically, some might call it a wasteland."

"Tech!" Echo elbowed his brother.

"Either way," said Hunter. "Myra, if it's important to you, we're with you to the end."

"All of us," said Omega.

Storm clouds began to fill the air. It was clear things were about to get serious.

_______________________________

Myra and the others moved as stealthily as possible through the rubble that was piled around the land until they got close to Pride Rock.

"Hyenas. I hate hyenas." Boba shuddered.

"You're not the only one." Omega said. "How are we gonna get past them?"

"Myra, do you have a plan for getting everyone safely past those hyenas?" Tech asked.

"Yup. Live bait." Myra said.

"Good idea." Hunter said, but then he realized what Myra was implying. "Hey!"

"Come on, Hunter. You and your brothers have to create a distraction."

"What do you want me to do, dress in drag and do the hula?"

Hunter just had to open his big mouth.

_______________________________

Hunter:

Luau!

Hunter and Echo were both in hula skirts and leis as Tech and Crosshair beat on drums while Wrecker, in his warthog form, played dead with an apple in his mouth like a luau pig. Crosshair had to try really hard not to laugh at how silly his brothers looked to him.

If you're hungry for a hunk of fat and juicy meat

Eat my brother Wrecker here because he is a treat

Echo:

Come on down and dine

On this tasty swine

All you have to do is get in line

And the hyenas got in line alright. Meanwhile, Myra, Comedia, Vince, the Jedi, and the Fett twins snuck behind them. Most of them also had to work really hard not to laugh. Myra just motioned for them to keep going. So, Hunter and Echo continued to hula.

Hunter & Echo:

Aaaare you achin'

(Wrecker: Yup, yup, yup)

Foooor some bacon?

(Wrecker: Yup, yup, yup)

Heeee's a big pig

(Wrecker: Yup, yup)

You could be a big pig too.

The five oldest members of the Batch immediately ran for their lives, splitting up to lead the hyenas away in different directions while the others made their way to the palace.

_______________________________

Myra looked at her house and hatched a plan.

Vince, Carmine, take Boba and find Rhett. Comedia, you, Anakin, Ahsoka and Omega find my father and rally the Jedi. I'll look for Walter."

While the others went to do their jobs, Myra snuck carefully toward the palace, where she spotted Walter standing from one of the balconies.

"Mace Windu!" Walter shouted.

Myra gasped. She peeked out from her hiding spot to see her father being pulled by two Zygerrian soldiers, the former king chained at his wrists. But Mace showed no fear as he was pulled through a path of Walter's minions, many in hyena, crocodile, or snake form, growling and snarling, hissing, or snapping their jaws at him.

Mace was thrown to the ground, but he picked himself up. Although he didn't show it in his face, Myra could tell inside her father was terrified, and she couldn't help but feel guilty for leaving him to believe he'd lost his wife and his daughter all these years.

"Yes, Walter?" said Mace.

"Where is your hunting party?" said Walter. "They're not doing their job."

"Walter, there is no food. The herds have moved on and the harvests have wilted."

Of course, Walter refused to believe it.

"No, you're just not looking hard enough."

"It's over. There is nothing left. We have only one choice. We must leave Pride Rock."

"We're not going anywhere."

"Then you have sentenced us to death."

"Then so be it."

Even after years of suffering under Walter's tyranny, Mace still felt appalled by every word Walter said, refusing to help the people or do what was truly best for the great circle of life.

"You can't do that."

"I am the king. I can do whatever I want."
"You are only royal by marriage. If you were half the leader Brenda was-"

"I'm ten times the ruler Brenda was!" Walter shouted as he punched Windu in the face, sending him to the ground.

Suddenly, as the thunder boomed, a lion roaring also filled the air. Then Walter looked up to see a woman he didn't recognize. He looked as though he'd just seen a ghost.

"Brenda?! No, you're dead." Walter gasped, backing away in fright.

Myra didn't approach her uncle though; she rushed to her father and caressed his cheek, tears in her eyes as she caught her first glimpse of the first man she ever loved from the moment she entered the world. She prayed he wasn't hurt too badly.

Mace's eyes cracked open, and he looked up to see who he thought was...

"Brenda?"

"No." Myra shook her head. "It's me. Hi, Daddy."

"Myra! You're alive?" a smile began to spread across Mace's face. "How can that be?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm home."

Myra helped her father up and held him in a hug, which he returned.

"Myra?" Walter gasped. Then he forced a smile onto his face. "Myra! Oh, I'm a little surprised to see you... alive."

Walter glared at Ventress, Bossk, and Tak, all of whom gulped as the very proof they failed to finish the job finally came back to expose them.

Myra took on lioness form and approached her uncle with clear anger on her face.

"I don't care who's watching. You have thirty seconds to give me one good reason why I shouldn't rip you apart right here, right now."

"Oh, Myra, you must understand." Walter backed away, finding his back against a rock. "The pressures of ruling a kingdom...."

"Are no longer yours. Step down, Walter."

Walter chuckled nervously and said, "Oh, well, I would, naturally. However, there is one little problem. You see them?" Walter pointed to some hyenas above him, many of them with hungry looks in their eyes. "They think I'm king."

"Well, we don't," said a familiar voice. That voice turned out to belong to Rhett.

_______________________________

Earlier...

Carmine, Vince, and Boba snuck through the hallways of the palace, using their enhanced senses of smell and hearing to avoid guards, and the fact that there were a few zebra print decorations helped Boba camouflage as long as he stayed in zebra form.

The trio was quiet and stealthy until they reached Rhett's bedroom. Vince had been in this palace a million times before Walter was king. His animal form may have been a lion, but when it came to memorizing the path to big spaces, his memory was like an elephant's. It had to be since he lived in a big house too.

"You're sure this is where Rhett is?" Carmine whispered.

"Of course I'm sure," said Vince. "I've been here loads of times."

Vince tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.

"Locked. Of course."

Carmine patted on the door and placed his ear close to it. He could sense Rhett was in there. Unfortunately, this door was pretty strong, even for Jedi to break through. But luckily, this group had a zebra on board; one of the strongest kickers in the animal kingdom.

"Boba, how hard can you kick?" Carmine said.

"Enough to move big boulders."

"Prince Rhett, if you can hear me, stand away from the door! Boba, on three, kick the door as hard as you can."

So, Boba stood with his tail towards the door, getting into position, and Carmine mustered up as much Force strength as he could and counted, one... two... three! And Carmine Force pushed and Boba kicked the door with all their might, sending the door flying off its hinges! Except, they were also met by a foul stench that had all of the group holding their noses when they reverted to human form.

"Ugh! When's the last time this room was cleaned?" Boba whined.

"Actually, that's me." said a new voice, sounding embarrassed.

"Prince Rhett?" Carmine said.

Out from the door peered Rhett, but he was not the same little boy Vince remembered. His hair had grown a lot longer, and he'd gotten taller. But, he was also hiding something in his hands... his talisman.

"Rhett, are you okay?" Vince asked.

Rhett was okay, physically... mostly. He showed to have a few bruises on his body, and he was terrified to come out at first. But he was also embarrassed to show his talisman and his animal form. It turned out, when Rhett turned five, his father decided to give him the wood for a talisman, hoping he could train the boy to continue his legacy... but Rhett didn't get a lion like his father wanted. Rhett's animal was... a striped polecat, an animal that actually looks a lot like a skunk and sprays a bad smell, except with brown instead of black.

"Why are you here?" Rhett asked.

Vince explained what was happening to the Pride Lands and how he and Carmine found Myra alive and brought her back to take her place as queen.

"My cousin's alive?!" Rhett said excitedly, but then he looked around. "Where's my mom? Have you rescued her yet?"

"So it's true? Your mom is alive too?"

"Yeah, and my dad's been using me as a hostage!"

"Do you know where she is?" Carmine asked.

"In what used to be Aunt Brenda's room. Dad took it over when he became king."

_______________________________

Heidi was crying as she was left chained to her bed, when she suddenly heard the sounds of kicking and guards grunting outside in the hall. And that was when the door was broken down, and some almost unfamiliar faces burst in and Vince, Carmine, and Boba, in their animal forms, wrestled the Zygerrian guards to the ground

"Princess Heidi! I mean Queen Heidi. I mean-" Carmine said. "Are you alright?"

"How did you find me?" Heidi asked as she was released from her chains.

"We had a little help." Vince said.

"Mom!" Rhett immediately ran in and hugged his mother.

And when Heidi learned her niece was alive, she decided it was time to finally stop running from her husband.

"If Walter says he has power through me, I think it's time I made an appearance." Heidi said, sounding more determined than ever.

_______________________________

Present...

"Cousin Myra is the rightful queen." Rhett said. "Do as she says, Dad. Step down."

Myra smiled for a moment when she saw her cousin was alive and okay, but she quickly turned serious again as she turned back to Walter.

"The choice is yours, Walter. Either step down or fight." Myra said.

"Oh, must this all end in violence?" said Walter, stepping around his niece and taking on lion form. "I'd hate to be responsible for the death of a family member. Wouldn't you agree, Myra?"

"That's not gonna work, Walter. I've put it behind me."

"And what about your faithful subjects? Have they put it behind them?"

"Myra, what is he talking about?" Vince asked.

"Ah, you haven't told them your little secret. Well, Myra now's your chance to tell them. Tell them who is responsible for Brenda's death."

Myra sighed and stepped forward.

"I am."

Myra's friends gasped.

Mace quickly stepped up to his daughter.

"Myra. It's not true. Tell me it's not true." Mace begged.

"It's true."

And of course, that was when Walter jumped in.

"You see? She admits it! Murderer!"

"No! It was an accident."

"If it weren't for you, Brenda would still be alive. It's your fault she's dead! Do you deny it?"

"No."

"Then you're guilty!"

"No, I'm not a murderer!"

"She's telling the truth!" Rhett said. "And there was a witness to my aunt's murder."

"Stay out of this, Rhett!" Walter said.

"No!" Rhett got between his father and cousin. "Leave her alone!"

And then Walter struck Rhett, sending the boy against a rock, leaving a nasty scar on the boy's cheek from his father's claws. Then, Walter began approaching Myra, who found herself backing away from her uncle.

"Oh, Myranda, you're in trouble again, but this time Mommy isn't here to save you, and now everyone knows why!"

Myra yelped as her back paw slipped and she just barely managed to grab the edge of the rock in time.

"MYRA!" Vince said.

Comedia tried to fly over to help her friend, but the wind got really strong, and lightning hit the ground below, starting a fire and making the air too polluted with smoke for Comedia to see where she was going!

Walter looked at Myra as she was literally clinging for her life, feeling a light case of deja vu.

"Now, this looks familiar. Hmm. Where have I seen this before? Let me think. Hmm." Walter pretended to think. "Oh, yes. I remember. This is just the way your mother looked before she died."

Before Myra could fall, Walter clawed at Myra's paws, just as he'd done to Brenda years ago.

"And here's my little secret." Then Walter whispered into Myra's ear.... "I killed Queen Brenda."

Myra's eyes went wide as she saw the day her mother died flash before her eyes.

Before Walter could throw Myra over the cliff, however, something else pulled him by his mane! Another lioness dark brown and very powerful like Queen Brenda, and this one looked like she was going for the kill! This gave Myra enough time to jump up to safety. The other lioness on the other hand...

"MURDERER!" shouted the lioness, everyone else recognizing her voice, and being in total shock.

"Heidi?"

"Tell them the truth, Walter. I saw what you did. Tell them the truth!" Heidi threatened.

"Or what? You couldn't fight me before." Walter said, not caring that he'd exposed himself as an abuser to his wife.

"But I can." Myra said.

Myra held out her hand and cupped it, placing Walter into a Force choke, and then Rhett came along and took on his polecat form, getting his tail ready to spray.

"No, children, please." Walter begged.

"It'll really stink to be you even more in just a minute." Rhett said.

"Tell them the truth," Myra demanded.

"Truth? But truth is in the eye of the behold..." Myra tightened her Force choke, gagging Walter more each time he stalled. "All right... All right! I did it."

"So they can hear you!" Heidi said, bringing out her claws near Walter's eyes.

So, loud enough for everyone to hear, Walter confessed.

"I killed Queen Brenda!"

In a rage, everyone, Jedi or not, ran in to fight, and since Anakin and the others managed to locate the Jedi's lightsabers, now they were armed and ready. But Walter's cronies were ready to fight too with their whips and red lightsabers of their own. Everyone also took on animal form whenever they needed.

Lots of hyenas began to pile on top of what remained of the royal family, but for once Heidi fought hard; no one scratched her little boy and got away with it. Walter had officially gone too far, and Heidi wasn't going to let him get away with it anymore!

The Jedi and the royal family weren't alone in their fight either.

Soon, Boba and Omega's older brothers charged in, this time playing Bowling for Baddies.

"Excuse me. Pardon me. Comin' through. Hot stuff. Whoo!" Hunter shouted, riding on Wrecker again.

Echo and Crosshair may have been the smallest animals in their group, but they both had sharp claws on their talons, and Crosshair did not go easy on any of the hyenas.

All the Jedi fought hard against the bad guys, and Myra proved to have gotten a lot stronger in her Force abilities. But even with Force powers, Myra was still getting hounded.

One of the hyenas would've gotten Myra in the jugular if it weren't for that hyena getting whacked with a stick that turned out to belong to Master Sinube.

"Always in a hurry." Sinube said.

The hyenas tried to take the elder Jedi down, but he fought with sick ninja skills.

"For a guy who moves slowly, you sure pack a punch." Myra said.

Unfortunately, some folks were left to run for their lives.

Carmine, being not quite as brave as his brother, ran for his life into the throne room with Hunter. There, they found Obi-Wan still locked up.

"Let me out!" Obi-Wan begged.

"Let me in!" Carmine retaliated, getting in with Obi-Wan.

"Me too!" Hunter said, also joining in.

And Ventress, Bossk, and Tak came in, looking hungry for two Jedi and a Batcher.

"Please, don't eat me." Hunter whimpered.

"The cavalry has arrived!" shouted another voice.

That voice turned out to be a warthog, but not just any warthog. Wrecker.

"Hey, who's the pig?" Bossk said.

"Are you talkin' to me?" Wrecker said, not sounding happy.

"Uh-oh. He called him a pig." Hunter said.

"Are you talkin' to me?"

"Shouldn't have done that."

"Are you talkin' to me?!"

In case you haven't guessed, Wrecker doesn't like being called a pig.

"Now they're in for it."

"They call me Mr. Pig!"

Wrecker screamed and charged inside, beating up the bad guys and causing a real commotion as he sent the three baddies off like scared puppies, and broke open the cage, setting his brother and the two Jedi free.

"Take that, you yellow bellies!" Wrecker taunted, spitting a raspberry at the bad guys.

Everywhere you looked, the Jedi were taking down bad guys. No matter what the animal form, the good guys could face them. The big cats pounced, the zebras kicked, the elephants charged, shook the ground, or fought with their trunks; even a striped polecat had a potent weapon up his sleeve, or rather his tail. Rhett and Heidi helped Mace lead everyone into battle, and they fought hard. But this fight was far from over, especially for Myra.
