Once Upon a Time
"ACHOO!"
Obi-Wan blew his nose for the fifth time in the last ten minutes.
"Of all things that could've happened on a mission." Obi-Wan said, sneezing again. "Catching the flu."
Obi-Wan lay tiredly in his quarters at the Temple, having caught a nasty case of the flu after a mission, leaving Anakin to go and fill in for him. And Boba and Remix went with him this time around.
Peppermint took the thermometer out from Obi-Wan's mouth with her magic.
"Yup, you still got a fever." Peppermint confirmed.
Peppermint used her magic to feed her rider some more vegetable soup to help him feel better. But so far, Obi-Wan had been sick and bedridden for three days and still didn't seem to get better. In fact, he seemed to get worse before he got better.
"Achoo!" Obi-Wan covered his nose and mouth with a tissue, and he started to shiver from his fever.
"Bless you." said Gabby, walking in with a blanket in her arms. "I brought you another blanket, Uncle Obi-Wan."
"Thank you, Gabby." Obi-Wan sighed as Gabby lay the blanket over him. He quickly grabbed another tissue as he sneezed again.
Obi-Wan groaned as he felt his head pounding.
"How is he?" Lamenta asked, walking in with Qui-Gon and holding a cup of tea in her hands.
Obi-Wan started coughing and hacking heavily.
"Does that answer your question?" asked Peppermint.
"Don't worry, Obi-Wan." Lamenta said. "Daddy helped use some of your peppermint plant's leaves for this tea, and I put in lots of honey to help your throat."
Peppermint propped up some pillows to help Obi-Wan sit up so he could drink his tea.
Obi-Wan sighed. "This is ridiculous. Now I know how Anakin feels when he's stuck in one place for too long."
"I might know a cure for that, Obi-Wan." said Qui-Gon, sitting in a chair and holding up a book. "Remember this?"
Obi-Wan looked at the book Qui-Gon was holding. Robin Hood, a classic tale of a brave hero who robbed from the rich and gave to the needy.
"I do. That was my favorite story as a child." Obi-Wan said, starting to smile.
"As I recall, I read this to you when you felt sick as a boy. I am certain it will help you feel better now as it did then."
"Especially the way we all tell it together." Lamenta said.
Qui-Gon opened the book and began to tell the story.
"Once upon a time, long ago... there was a kingdom with a village filled with many in need. In these times, taxes were high, and life became very difficult for many villagers. But luckily for them, they had a brave hero who made it his job to keep the people's spirits alive."
