I grab the mop that was in Natalie's bathroom, and I carefully go down the stairs trying to be as silent as possible giving that I'm clumsy and I could fall any second now but thank god, I reach the bottom floor safely. I hear noises coming from the living room so I carefully walk there but I immediately stop when I hear someone walking behind me.

Taylor, be brave! I cheer myself as I quickly turn around ready to hit his head with the mop when—

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

Mason stands there, holding the mop tightly to make sure I don't hit him.

"What the fuck are you doing here?! And why in hell are you holding a mop?!" He asks looking as if had just seen a ghost.

"I'M SLEEPING OVER! And I heard someone screaming how the fuck was I not supposed to freak out?!"

"We're playing freaking fifa! How the fuck weren't WE supposed to scream?!" He says.

"Fifa? You said FIFA?!" I ask.

"Um, yes..?" He says looking confused af.

"Take me. Now." I hold his hand and pull him by it heading to the living room.

"What?! I'm not having sex with you!" He stops.

Perv.

"Take me to play FIFA you perverted dumbass." I roll my eyes.

We go to the living room to find Caleb and Brandon each holding his controller, both looking competitive as hell.

"Guys we got company." Mason rolls his eyes.

The both turn around to see me.

"Taylor! What are you doing here?!" Caleb asks.

"I'm sleeping over." I say.

"Do you play fifa?" Brandon asks.

"Do I play fifa?" I pause, "I'm a MASTER." I say proudly.

"Well let's see then!" Brandon says looking happy that he found a new opponent.

I play with the three of them and I win at the three times, making Mason very furious and annoyed, and I enjoyed every single second of it.

"How are you so good?!" Brandon asks narrowing his eyes.

"I used to play with my dad a lot when I was younger. My mom hated it." I laughed. Remembering the good old times when my mom and dad were still together and we were actually happy.

"And you don't anymore?" Caleb asks.

"Not so much.. since I don't see my dad as much as I used to.." I say smiling to them as if reassuring them that I'm alright and that I don't need pity.

"Are you guys hungry?" Mason asks, changing the subject which I'm so grateful for.

"Depends on what you're gonna order." Brandon says.

"Pizza." Mason raises one eyebrow.

"I'm STARVING!" Brandon says, and we all laugh.

We eat pizza together and talk about really random stuff, me and Mason fight over something silly then Brandon and Caleb force us to apologize. And I am actually having a really good time! Who would've thought that me and the three most popular guys at school will spend a fun night together?

These guys are very different from what I expected them to be. Brandon is very funny and cute, he's the kind of guy that can make you piss yourself, and he has a really kind, pure heart that can make anyone like him in seconds.

Caleb, is a really really sweet and caring guy that can make you feel very happy and welcome. And I'm very grateful that I got the chance to meet him and be his friend.

As for Mason, he's the kind of guy that is very freaking arrogant and loves himself too much, but tonight I got the chance to know how he acts around his friends and the people he loves, and I was very surprised to find out that he is like a whole new person. He's nothing like the Mason that is arrogant and cocky. I mean, sure he still is an ass but he is actually very funny and nice around his friends. Natalie told me that once he gets to know someone well, he's gonna show his true self. I don't think that I've quite broke his walls yet or that he trusts me but I think that he knows me better now and that's why he allowed himself to be nice tonight.

We decide to watch a movie. They all pick horror thinking that I might get "scared" but what they don't know is, I love horror.

"Dude, I like you!" Brandon says when he finds out while Caleb laughs, but Mason being Mason, says "Okay then I'm sure you're gonna like this one." He raises an eyebrow as if he doesn't believe me.

"Oh I've watched this one before! But I'm good to watch it again if you want." I say proudly, mentally giving myself a high five.

The rest of the night goes by fast, we all have a good time together, and we're now sitting on the couch talking and laughing when we hear the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it!" I get up and head to the door.

I open the door to find happy Natalie standing there, when I notice a really familiar face behind her. It's James. James fucking Johnson.

I feel my heart skip a beat and color falls off of my face. Is this a fucking joke?! Does he always have to show up and ruin my happiness?!

"Um— Taylor..?" He says.

"Wait guys..? Do you know each other?" Natalie says hesitantly.

I go back inside and walk fast up to Natalie's room and shut the door behind me, hearing her, and the boys calling my name but ignoring them not because I want to, but because my tongue's tied and I don't really know what to say. I just ruined my best friend's fun date night, and I just saw my cheating ex standing right in front of me, and not just that, he has the audacity to call me by my freaking name like nothing ever happened!

The door opens, Natalie comes in looking very concerned.

"Taylor.. are you okay?" She sits next to me on the bed holding my hand.

I nod.

"Now can you tell me how do you know James?" She asks softly. "If you can't, I don't want to push it—"

"No. It's fine. I just ruined your night. you deserve an explanation." I say.

I take a deep breath in and tell her everything, from how he ditched me on valentine's day to hook up with my best friend, to when I saw him a week ago on my way to the supermarket.

"Oh Taylor I'm so so sorry! I didn't know.." she tells me.

"No, I AM sorry for ruining your night. I could tell that you had fun.. you couldn't have known anyway.."

"He's a terrible person for doing that! I'm very glad I found out before he could play me like a fool."

She hugs me tightly and says "I'm sorry you had to go through that.."

"RISE AND SHINEEEE" I hear the blinds fully open and I feel the warm sunlight on my face. I squeeze my eyes annoyed from all the sudden light.

"Come on! Wake up! We've got school and we still have to pick out your outfit." Natalie jumps on the bed beside me making me fly. She comes closer and says, "I've made some pancakes, and they're in danger now, you know what would happen if Brandon smells them from his room?"

And with that she convinces me to get up. I brush my teeth using my finger since I wasn't ready for this sleep over, I put on a pair of boyfriend ripped jeans, a tight black shirt, a Gucci belt, and some white, overly large shoes. I let my curly, long hair loose on my back and shoulders. And honestly, I am proud.

We eat the pancakes (thank god Brandon didn't notice them) and Brandon gives us a ride to school.

I notice Caleb walking in our direction looking hot af with his dirty blond hair gently flying in different directions with the light wind.

"Hey guys!" He gives us that charming smile that melts my heart showing his beautiful, white teeth.

I'm grateful that neither him or Brandon mentioned anything about last night, I'm not really ready to explain it to them and I'm sure that it'll just ruin my mood for the day if I talk about it.

"Hey, dude! Where's Mason?" Brandon asks.

"Where could he be?" Caleb says, his facial expressions literally saying 'DUH'.

Brandon opens his mouth as if he remembered something. "Ohhhh how could I forget?! It's tonight!" He says.

"What's tonight?" I ask in confusion.

"Tonight there's a huge soccer game against the western hills high! Always a tough competition." Caleb explains.

"God, what else have I been missing out on during the past two years?!" I say. And it's true cause I feel like I'm in a whole new high school and have a whole new life now. James and Charlotte really have taken a huge part of my life, and I intend on getting it back.

"But your practice isn't even now.." Natalie says.

"You know how Mason is. Always likes to be on top." Brandon says. "And he is." He adds with a proud smile.

"Well you two better get your asses on the field and practice with Mason cause if me and Taylor are coming to watch, it better be a good game." Natalie gives them a frightening stare that even I got scared of.

"Yes, sir!" And with that they both start running to the field.

"Wow." I express my admiration.

"What can I say? I'm a boss." Natalie gives me a wink.

If you'd told me 3 weeks ago that I'd be going to soccer games and a party and a sleepover with friends, and not just any friends, but the HOTTEST most popular guys at school I would've burst out laughing.

I'm so excited to watch that game! Who would've thought that I'd turn out to like soccer outside of my PlayStation? And not just soccer, the players are an incredibly important part of it.
