Night & Day
Natsu's POV
I seriously can't believe that Nightfall, the cat girl that Gray fell in love with, is here. Her, Daybreak, Rigger & Arrow are a team, one that might as well be assassins. Honestly, they even make me a little jumpy, especially Night. But not Gray. She just makes him blush like crazy. Right now she's squeezing the heck out of the poor fellow, making his face the color of Windy's hair.
"Sorry," she says, giggling. I almost do the same, seeing Gray's ridiculous redding face. "I just haven't seen you in so long..." She trails off. After they had began dating, his and her jobs had gone in different directions, and they had said goodbye. He didn't know I knew, but I had seen him crying to himself for WEEKS. And I'm not exaggerating. I had almost felt bad for the guy. Now that Luce is gone, I sort of feel the same.
I felt a tap on my shoulder, and whirled around to see Day at my shoulder. Her dirty blonde hair was held high in a pony tail, and her tail flicked in curiosity.
"Hey Natsu, where's Lucy?" She asked, her tail beginning to twitch. She and Lucy hadn't been friends, but sort of acquaintances. Night on the other hand hated her guts. Light & dark? I guess so.
"Uh, she's gone..." I say weakly, not meeting her eyes, but I could feel a slight aurora of confusion surround her.
"Gone like dead, quit or lost?" She asked, her tail twitching in annoyance. She wanted an answer, and she would get one.
"The last," I replied, "I'd go, but Ersa said no." I stared back towards the window. Suddenly she stood up and punched me square in the face.
"Ouch!" I growled, rubbing my sore face, "what was that for?"
"For being an idiot," she replied and crossed her arms, her ears drawn back in anger. "You always help a friend out, she'd do the same for you."
"And guess what," she continued, tugging my shirt towards her, "For being a dense idiot that Lucy likes you, and the fact I don't 100% know you'll try, I'm coming with you." Then she walked out the guild doors, gesturing for me to follow her. I decided that there was no arguing with her, so I followed her out, happy tagging behind me.
Then I noticed, she hadn't pulled on my scarf, the obvious thing to do. But my scarf wasn't there, but at the hotel. I had left one of my most prized possessions behind.
Night's POV
I was so happy to see Gray-Sama, I almost didn't see Day leave with Natsu. Almost.
But out of the corner of my eye between the ice mage's desperate hugs, I had seen them leave after a rough conversation. Day exchanged a punch with Natsu, then they both stomped out the guild doors. I begin running towards them when a hand stop me.
"Where's the fire?" I turn around to see Gray smiling.
"Actually, the fire just ran out that door with Daybreak. Looked like they had a mission or something-" I start but Gray stops me.
"Shoot," he growls and heads out the door, depositing his shirt 'neatly' on the floor. I sigh and run after him, grabbing his shirt on the way out. I think he might want it back.
