Thomas sat on the opposite end of the couch from James. He had just finished explaining the situation and was biting his lower lip to prevent himself from breaking down all over again. It was too quiet, but he didn't know what else to say. The silence hung in the air like suffocating humidity. 

"I-I am so sorry James," Thomas stuttered "y-you have to believe that."

Silence

"Jemmy, please talk to me." Thomas choked on the words.

More silence until

"Why?" James whispered

"Jemmy I-"

"Why w-wouldn't you stop h-her."

   James turned to look at Thomas for the first time in what felt like an eternity. His eyes swollen from the tears that streaked down his skin. His bottom lip quivering in sadness. Thomas wanted nothing more than to wrap James up in his arms and kiss away every tear, but he couldn't. So instead there was silence. The silence cut deeper than all of the tears and sobs. The air filled with unspoken emotions.

    Sadness, anger, frustration, and most of all,

Regret

   So much regret plagued Thomas's heart. He wished he could go back in time and fix his mistakes, but he couldn't. He couldn't do anything and It hurt him so badly. It tore him apart, and his inability to speak caused his brain to viciously mock him. Effectively becoming his own worst enemy in the process. His brain working overtime as his heart dragged him along.

"I can't believe it," James whispered turning away from Thomas. "I'm in love with a complete idiot"

   Thomas's eyes widened in shock at James' words. He couldn't formulate a response.

"J-Jemmy I-"

"Come over here and kiss me, you moron."

   So Thomas shuffled closer to James and intertwined their hands before leaning in, and both man's eyes fluttered closed. Until they finally closed the gap in between them. The now bridged gap now allowed those unspoken emotions to pass freely between them, and the kiss became more than just a demonstration of love. It was a kiss of understanding, forgiveness, and compassion. It was a kiss that filled a void that had been left due to the lack of closure and explanations. In fact, it not only filled the void but filled the whole body with a sense of love. Thomas swore he could've died of happiness right then and there as he allowed himself to lean deeper into the kiss. He pulled away to steal a glance of Jame's face. The man's eyes were still shut as deep breaths passed through his gently parted lips. 

"Tommy?" James whispered

"Yes, Jemmy?"

"Don't ever leave me again, or I swear to Lin I will kill you."

"Don't worry," Thomas said giving James another quick kiss. " I don't think I could live without you in my life anyways."

   Guys, I literally cried just imagining this, and it doesn't help I've just listened to the Stay Alive reprise. Also, I'm highly considering doing voiceovers of your guys' favorite chapters. Maybe?
