To soften the blow of her punishment.
The final verdict was
Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia was manipulated by dr. Ritu a spy .... To attack her senior officer.....

And should serve one year detention in army detention center.
And her stay will decide whether she will join back the army or not.
