So what was Damien secondary school like?
    It was a prestigious school in Lagos that only the elite attended. Like seriously, the money paid in my school is enough to buy a whole estate.
     It was a school where the students were free to do whatever they wanted without any supervision. No teacher could beat a student.
       The first day of the term in my school was always unorganized. No academic activities took place on the first day. It was a day given to all the students to get settled in each of their various dorms and get prepared for the next day. It was also my worst day in school. Why? Because I'll have to put up with the three words I hate the most. ' I missed you '.

    Everyone Said it. Even if it wasn't true. In the whole school, I only had three friends. And they were my roommates. Angela; she's from akwa ibom, Rebecca; from abia and Halimat; from kano. I loved them cause they understood me.

"Girl you can't believe what I heard during the holiday" that was Rebecca, she was the newscaster of our squad. We were on our way to our matrons office to collect our room key.

"What did you hear o....madam NTA news" Angela replied

"Heee....wonders shall never end"  Rebecca said clapping her two hands together.
Did I forget to say she also liked to exaggerate things?

"Becca say what you want to say joor" that was Halimat. She called her Becca cause Everytime she wanted to call her name she'll always say ' rabecca' instead of 'Rebecca' because of her hausa accent. I just loved the way she pronounced her words with a hint of hausa in it.

"Hmm....I just heard the latest news o....I heard ayomide is dating one new js2 girl o" Rebecca replied

I think I just chocked on air, cause by then I was already coughing and I'm sure my eyes were red.

"What did you just say!!" You're probably wondering why I was surprised right?

Ayomide was my first and apparently only boyfriend. We've been dating since we were in js1 but he suddenly told me on our vacation day last term that he wanted to break up with me.

"You better don't yet start coughing o... because once I'm through you may even have High blood pressure. I also heard that he's sleeping with the innocent girl o. Someone caught them" Rebecca continued

"Which stupid innocent girl? She's innocent and she's opening her legs for him?" Halimat chipped in obviously getting annoyed. The girl was a quiet one but once she got angry? All hell could break loose. She got a 1 week suspension when we were in js3 for beating a junior when she was angry.

"So that's why he broke up with you ehn? Because of that slut?" She continued. I told my friends immediately ayomide broke up with me last term and they were as surprised as I was.

"You guys...let's not start calling names. If he wants to date her he's free. As long as I'm not his girlfriend again." I said still hurt about what I just heard but trying to keep it hidden

"But this is different...he's sleeping with.." Rebecca said almost immediately but I cut her off.

"I don't freaking care if he's sleeping with her. That's him business"

"Jaye is right you guys. The guy is kuku a fool. Just let him be"angela said, supporting me

"Okay o...if you say so o" rebbeca said raising her hands in defeat.

The rest of the day went pretty normal. Once we took our keys from the matron. We went to our room which was probably dusty by now and cleaned it up and then arranged our books and clothes in their various places.
    When it was time for dinner,I was already so famished. I took my cutlery and plate from my bag and followed my friends as we chatted on our way to the dinning room
    We had three dinning rooms in the school since we were pretty much. The first one was for students in block A in the boys hostel and the girls hostel. The second once was for the students in block b for the boys and girls hostel.
Same thing for the third one.
   So once you were in block A in the boys hostel or girls hostel, you had to do to dinning room A to collect your food. Same goes for the other two.
    I and my friends were in block B so we were going to the dinning Hall B.

"You people should go without me...I need to go to the bathroom. And please help me take my food" I said handing my plate to them and excusing myself.

You know how it feels when you just want to go back by two minutes. Just two minutes!. That's all I'm asking for. Guess who I saw on my way to the toilet. Yeah...you guessed right...ayomide.
  I tried to walk away without looking at him trying my best not to start a conversation.

"Jaye" The fool just had to call me

"What do you want ayomide?" He was already right in front of me barely leaving two feet between us. The more I tried to move back, the more he came closer. Until my back came on contact with something

Shit! The wall. The god-damned wall!

"I want you baby girl"
God he disgusts me!

"I disgust you?" He asked raising an eyebrow

I didn't even realize I said that out loud.
"This time last year...you were probably kissing the hell out of me baby girl" he said,his nose brushing through my neck making me smell his heavenly Cologne. God the smell made me weak in my knees
Jayeiola you have to get a grip of your self!
I warned myself mentally

"Just let me go"I said trying to push him off me but just as you guessed,my strength was very little not even making him budge an inch

"Are you sure you want me to stop? Cause your body is saying another different thing my love" he said in a voice that sounded more like a whisper
God he knew me so well

Before I knew it,his lips were already on mine. God I missed this!. My body wanted this but my brain kept sending another signal. Then I remembered Rebecca's voice.
"He's sleeping with her"

I didn't even realize when I pushed him away and slapped him.

"What the fuck!" he said touching his already red cheek

"Never do that again" I said using that chance to free myself from his hold

I succeeded but was too slow since he took me by the arm again

"What is wrong with you Jaye?"

"You are wrong with me....how dare you kiss me after you found yourself another one of your sluts. You break up with me now and then kiss me later. How dare you!" I said releasing all the bitterness in me

"Ohh... I see you've found out about blessing....I swear Jaye she's nothing like you. I thought I liked her because she Let me sleep with her and that's why I broke up with you. But I was wrong. Jaye she's cheap. Unlike you,I still love you Jaye" I could've sworn I saw sincerity written on his face. But I couldn't just forgive him that way.

"I've heard you...just let me go please...I'll think about it" I said rushing off back to the dinning room

"What took you so long" angela asked me, they've already finished eating their food

"Uh?....n-nothing" I lied

"Na you know ....sha eat your food" she said pushing my plate to me
I saw that she didn't believe me but she was too engrossed in whatever they were talking about

The rest of the night just went on with us talking about useless things. And once I was on my bed I was thankful the day was over.

I replayed everything that happened today in my mind again until I drifted into sleep.

I woke up the next morning hearing a lot of noise in the balcony.

"Jaye... Jaye...have you heard?" Halimat ran into the room,her eyes red probably from crying

"Halimat this is past five! Number 1 where is everyone number 2 why is everywhere so noisy number 3 heard what?' I said standing up from my bed

"It's ..it's...suicide" she said between sniffs

"Halimat..calm down and talk to me. What happened to suicide." I said holding her by the shoulder

"Ayomide.....he...he killed himself" she said this time breaking down completely

This time I wasn't in the state to comfort her.
Ayomide killed himself? But why? He told me he wanted me back last night. Why?

Before I knew it,i was on the floor and I heard people screaming my name. But it was muffled and all I could hear was that voice again
I'll kill all those who are precious to you and then kill you!! This is just the beginning!

I couldn't tell if I was really hearing it or I was making it all up. I couldn't tell before everything went black.
