"There will be three, kin of your kin who will hold the power of the stars in their paws, But there will also be the 5th the one wh-" then the white cat disappeared from Firestar's dream.

"No! Please don't join Starclan yet! Our kit needs you.... I need you" he added softly

"Don't worry my love...... One day we will reunite in Starclan" She croaked

She took a shuddering breath as her flank heaved for the last time and then she laid still

"NO!" He cried "no." He added more softly as he began to cry

He looked down on his mate's body, bloodied and dead he lifted his head and declared, "I promise that I will avenge you and raise our kit." He pressed his muzzle into her shoulder.

"It's going to be okay." Leafpool said with a sad voice. "I know how much she meant to you Thornclaw," She added more quietly

"I will Avenge her!"  He vowed
