It's wayyyy too late for me to actually put anything here rn, but it'll be constantly updated once I can get some sleep lol

Two days go by...

OKAY so now that I've slept and chilled for a few days, let the headcanons... BEGIN! (Most of these are from The Jay Discord, run by some of my awesome buddies! I'll try not to take ones that aren't mine, but some of them tie into mine. Anything with * next to it is copy pasted from Discord and two * is mine)

* Nya learns how to make calming tea from Wu, since Jay probably has some sort of ADHD from his lightning's nature. They always keep a stash of it for when Jay gets too overwhelmed or needs to wind down. It always works best when Nya makes it and sits with him while he drinks it.

* Their favorite spot to go when they're alone is anywhere with a pool of water, like the ocean or a lake. Jay has fishing rods stashed there after a few times of them returning to the same spot and they learn how to fish together. Nya always gets more fish, obviously XD

** Jay can feel Nya's heartbeat just by brushing her skin because of the electric currents in her body. So when he needs grounding (like if he has a panic attack or a nightmare), he puts his hand on hers and just lets it sit there until he's better. Skin to skin contact is always sure to calm him down quicker than anything else. Eventually, Nya learns to anticipate these mood swings and takes to grabbing his hand, rubbing his back, or giving him a quick kiss before it gets too bad.

**Jay is the only person Nya will let flat out hug her and swoop her around. Anybody else would get a sock to the face, especially if she's mad and Jay has to give her comfort huggies. Nya does the same to him except squeezy hugs bc she knows he needs pressure to feel secure, kinda like a weighted blanket. He needs to be grounded and she needs to be lifted up to feel better.

But JAY knows if he swoops HER around, she'll feel like she's flying and she's the only girl in the world! Also because it's just plain fun to be lifted by him! Everyone else has to approach carefully before receiving a Nya HugTM, but they're very enjoyable when you get one!

**Jay is also the only one who doesn't get yelled at every 5 seconds when Nya's on her period. Usually, he either gets yelled at once and then comforted (immediately or there WILL be tears, no doubt), or he's the only one allowed near her without getting yelled at. Nya goes back and forth between beating the frick out of the training bag or wrapping herself up in her blanket and shutting everyone out.

Unless they bring gifts, then they send Jay in with them. He's the only one who can touch her without getting punched or something thrown at him. He brings his own blanket on bad days and they cocoon together in the dark with chocolate until she's better.

**Nya is not above ransoming hugs in exchange for Jay putting the video games away and working out with her. She knows physical touch is his love language and uses that without guilt so he'll actually take care of himself.

**Jay hides treats he can chuck at her whenever she's in a bad mood.

Nya wants these treats and threatens no kisses for a week.

He caves.

Cue the rehiding the next day and the cycle continues.

**When Zane and Pix are out for some reason, Nya and Jay are next in line to cook. Kai would burn things, Cole... that's obvious, and Lloyd only knows how to make macaroni and toast. Jay cooks like a broke college student when he's by himself but Nya actually enjoys cooking when she's with Jay. Most of the time.

Especially because they can get some alone time while they wait for whatever they're making to finish. However, Jay was almost banned from kitchen duty when he got so distracted with Nya that he fritzed the oven, microwave, and stove in one go. He had to fix them. All by himself. He was only allowed in there with anyone else but Nya from there on out.

**Jay and Nya have one day every few months (depending on missions and whatnot) where they devote the whole day to spoiling the other person. Jay was actually the one to suggest this way back when they got official. Well, not officially suggest since every day he wants to spoil Nya, but you get the point. Since Nya won't accept it without doing the same to him, it's kind of a thing now. Everyone knows not to interrupt Jaya Day or they'd get in the middle of some steamy pampering once in a while. Usually, though, it's Jay using his inheritance money to discreetly treat Nya without being obvious he's dipping into other funding. Nya likes to make handmade things/food, take him on a dragon race, or do active things. Jay enjoys that but would rather just sit and be with her while they're sitting somewhere quiet, like the ocean.

Lately, their favorite place to go is the pier (Jay's dad's private dock, actually, but Nya doesn't have to know that it's not just always coincidentally empty), which is a balance between their elements--water and lightning. They can play with their elements on a playful day, rock climb on an adventurous one, or just sit and listen to the rain. They've codenamed it "LiWa" for Lightning Water, so they can talk about it at home without anyone else figuring out where it is. To date, nobody has. They've even decorated their favorite spots with their favorite activities!

**Okay so Bizarro Jay, right?

What if that part of him was just part of his personality brought to the surface? Like, he always had a bad boy streak. Just hidden where nobody really saw it.

Anyway, what if whenever he gets mad (like really mad), not only do his powers act up but his eyes return to bizarro color and his streak is brought back to the surface.

Nya found this out the hard way when they had their first big fight. It was immediate and strong. Thankfully, they were in the mountains and nowhere near any villages where he could scare people. There was a lot of destruction in the mountainside with lightning scars that day.

Also, Nya tends to be followed around by Bizarro Jay until he calms down enough to swap back. Usually his memory is pretty fuzzy and he cries privately every time it happens (sometimes with Nya too). He hates he can't control it but always apologizes and treats her much, much nicer than usual for the next few days after.

**So ever since Jay figured out he was adopted, he was set on adopting a kid of his own. Didn't have to be a boy, just a kid who needed parents. He and Nya agreed when they got married they would have at least one adopted kid and one they had themselves. They wanted to raise them side by side as siblings, like how Nya and Kai were. Close in age and tight-knit. They eventually got their boy. Doesn't look like either of them but basically is Jay's personality in a tiny body. Gets Nya's water powers. Also gets a sister two years later, with Jay's powers and looking like Nya.

Anyway, Jay and Nya both developed separation anxiety when they were young (Jay from his parents, Nya from Kai). So both are very clingy to their kids. Very tight-knit and they do everything together. But one day surprise, surprise, the parents get taken by a villain who shan't be named.

They both start freaking out because they hate to be separated from their kids ad they've never gone more than a few hours without being together. They're trying to be strong for their other half but internally just dying the whole time they're in their cell. Eventually, like a week later, they get reunited. They all just melt into the other's arms and commence crying, typical parent "are you alright?"s, and kids being like "MOM AND DAD!!!" and accidentally zapping and soaking them.

*Nya knows what it's like to be alone without parents, and she had days younger where they couldn't afford to eat, so she didn't want that on someone else.

*Imagine them running an orphanage out of the Bounty when they get older and can't ninja as well, then taking in as many kids as possible and taking care of them

Kai:
"Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy?"

Cole:
scream "Stahp! You coulda made me drop my CROISSANT!"

Lloyd:
"I've got the power of God and anime on my side!"

Jay:
"Hurricane Katrina? More like hurricane TORTILLA!"

Zane:
Him: "Chris (Kai) is that a weed?"
Someone (Kai): "No it's a crayon!"

**When Jay comes to Kai to ask permission to marry Nya, Kai is both honored and sad. His dad is supposed to be here, not him, to decide this. So he sucks up his courage and says yeah, of course, lemme help you.

Later, when Jay actually does the thing, the first thing Kai does is hug Jay and say, "Welcome home... brother."
