You must read Endianess story Raindrops to understand what's going on. If you don't feel like reading the whole thing, then too bad. Just get over it you lazy butt.
Speckles and Cora were sitting there astonished at what happened. A pack of velociraptors had just came in and attacked Rain and then left. They were stronger than normal velociraptors. Now Lava is trying to help Rain. He is sitting there in a pool of his own blood, slipping in and out of consciousness. Then Speckles all of a sudden sees Cora trying to attack Lava.
"No!" Speckles shouts. "Stop!"
But Cora can't hearhim she is then thrown to the grown. Speckles can't hear what they're saying but all of a sudden, Cora comes back to speckles as Lava takes Rain away. Cora looks down at her feet, wishing she could've stopped the raptors. Cora walks away followed by Speckles, trailing footprints behind them embedded in the snow.
"I wish I could've done something," she says.
"I do to, but there was nothing. They were to strong for us,"
"What's that?" She says pointing towards the large footprints that lead into the distance. They were from a large carnivore. Way bigger than that tyrannosaurus. They got scared for a bit. However, they decide to follow them and see where they lead to.
A few hours later, Speckles and Cora were far from home. They traveled far, following the trails. They then here a loud roar, that could almost cause an earthquake. They then see the outline of a huge creature with a sail on its back. It seemed to have a long snout and looked similar to the spinosaurus they had seen. But this was much bigger. Much, much bigger. They then saw two glowing red eyes through the fog. It roared once again, this time much louder. They ran away from him as fast as they could. Cora tripped, and twisted her ankle. Speckles turned around but Cora gestured him to keep running. He ran for a few feet until he found a hill. He hid behind it and watched as Cora rolled over on her back. She tried to scoot backwards but then the white giant creature stepped on her leg, crushing her bones. She gave out a painful shriek as she stared into the blazing red eyes of the white creatures as hers leaked tears. Speckles couldn't bear this anymore and shouted.
"Leave her alone, you ugly pale monstrous beast!"
The white creature looked at him for a second. Then he gave out a ear piercing roar and sprinted towards Speckles and ran towards home.
"Nooo!" Cora yelled. She then managed to drag herself through he snow. She reached her arms out and pulled while her good leg pushed, sometimes rubbing up against the other causing the throbbing pain to grow more intense. She would yelp but it was no use. She kept dragging herself through the snow.
A many hours later, Cora had made it a few miles. She was freezing almost to death but she kept pushing herself. She grew more tired each second and then she gave out. As the snowy wind blew at her feathers, her body lays in the snow. She then wakes up to see something else in the snow. It looked like a body. She then forced herself to continue dragging herself to find out that the body was Speckles. His blue feathers were now covered in dried blood as he lay there in the snow, colored red by his own blood.
"Nooo!" Cora yelled as she hugged him tight. She stayed near him to try and keep him warm, hoping he was still alive.
"Lava! Rain! Mama! Papa!" She shouted, "Please! I need you!" She then rested her head on Speckles. She then passed out and they both lay there in the snow.
An hour later Lava comes and picks them up, taking them back home. She didn't know who was doing this, but she knew that she had to get them to safety as fast as she could or else they could die.
Surprise!!!! I was able to write something today and post it on time.
