Lava felt as cold air brushed against her scales. She shivered as a bright light appeared right in front of her.
"After all they did," said a cold echoing female voice, "Traitor,"
"Hello? Who are you," Lava asked in confusion as she opened her eyes only to get blinded by the bright light.
"The velociraptor," the voice said and laughed as the light disappeared. Lava looked around to see a normal cave. She shrugged it off as she got up, dusting off her black scales. She walked out of the chamber to see everyone still sleeping in their own. Lava walked out of the cave to see the sun peaking out from the horizon. Lava sat down and looked out into the distance as the sun began to rise. All of a sudden, she was flooded with images of a pack of velociraptors killing a giginotosaurus. Sapphire.
"Saph?" Lava asked looking around at her surroundings. Sure enough, she heard the same echoing voice giggle as a bright light appeared, causing Lava to shut her eyes.
"Oh Lava. You finally remember me," the voice said, "You promised in your mind that you'd kill the velociraptors that did this to me. However, you're living with one of them and even let him mate with the Utahraptors in you pack!" The voice yelled in anger.
"Speckles didn't mate with any Utahraptors," Lava said confused.
"Oh not yet," the voice said as it gave a slight chuckle, "The velociraptor must be killed Lava."
"No he can't. He is family," Lava stated struggling to keep her eyes closed.
"Gosh Lava! You are a worthless little lizard are you?" The voice roared, "Well I will break you, I will terrorize you, I will even cause you to commit suicide. I will do whatever it takes to make you kill that raptor. And if you don't do it," the voice chuckled, "Oh I promise, I will destroy you in your mind."
"What has gotten into you Saph!" Lava boomed, "You used to be all sweet and kind. Now, your a monster."
"If you thought I was sweet and kind when I was alive, you saw nothing of me," the voice said as the light disappeared.
"What do you mean?" Lava called out but got no answer. She then felt an intense pain grow in her head. She paused as she winced in pain.
'Come on Lava! You're stronger than that! Sapphire can't do anything to you! She's dead. You just have to remember that.' Lava thought as she began to walk back into the cave.
Speckles laid curled up next to Cora. They often cuddled with each other at night. Although Speckles always feels like something's wrong. He just can't point it out. Is it the fact that they're different species or even as simple as their gender? Whatever it is, Speckles can't seem to think straight when he's near Cora. Sometimes it even goes to the extent of remembering his family. He remembers everything from the color of his mom's brown feathers to the screams they let out when they were ripped apart. He shivered at the thought and continued to sleep. He felt a weird tingly feeling jolt through his body as Cora moved closer. Their snouts were less than an inch apart which certainly made Speckles feel a bit uncomfortable. He shifted around and the tingly feeling left him. He felt better and Cora was in the position she wanted to be in and they continued to sleep through the early morning.
