damn, I'm honestly REALLY shocked I finished this story lol. it's always been somewhat of a passion project for me, a story I knew wouldn't get as much traction as my past works, but I wanted to continue because I was super passionate about the story and characters. I like to think of JAWBREAKER almost like a good luck charm. it brought me out of the rough patch was in during the pandemic, I finally got a new job a little after posting it, and sloane was the first character I really put all of myself into - as well as a lot of family members I've known throughout my life. but with a new job came a tremendous amount of responsibilities. so many that I hardly had time to write, but I still finished this story, and that's the biggest accomplishment of all! I can't thank you guys enough for supporting me and this story through such an interesting period in my life lol.

I wish I could say this story came to me in a dream, but it actually came from a very intoxicated new years eve weekend LMAO. my friends and I ended up seeing no way home on new years day while hungover, and in my migraine-induced haze, y'all know I saw andrew garfield again and started SWEATING SJHFDKJHFKHFKJH he was my biggest celeb crush in high school, then I forgot about him, and then he came back to me FULL FORCE !! on the drive home that weekend, I was explaining to a friend that I think it would be cool if someone wrote a fanfic where spidey was solving a murder but it would obviously have to include lots of slow burn and smut for the ~female gaze~ of it all. and my friend was like, "well. you're a writer." AND LOOK AT WHERE WE ARE NOW!
