(The Chapter starts inside the Batwing, where Catwoman is co-piloting. Harley Quinn walks up to her seat and leans on both it and the seat of Batman's, staring into the world beyond the windscreen.)

Batman: Destination dead ahead. 

H. Quinn: Set 'er down nice and easy, Batsy. 

Batman: Don't I always?

H. Quinn : Not always. Just my opinion. 

(Harley Quinn and Catwoman share a chuckle at this comment. Harley looks over to Batman.) 

H. Quinn: Batman?

Batman: (to Catwoman) Drive it for me. 

(Batman then rises from his seat. He strides to the back of the Batwing where six other Justice League members are taking their seats. Also among them is the last daughter of Krypton known only as Supergirl, who remains standing. Harley looks on in admiration as Batman walks up to his teammates. He turns round and she flashes him a smile, and walks up to join them.)

Batman: Alright, you have the rendezvous coordinates. Far edge of the forest. From there, we access to Stryker's Island. 

H. Quinn: Where there's a lot of rioting prisoners, including Kal's two remaining servants  waiting for us. 

(Starfire is seated among them, and doesn't appear to quite believe what she's hearing.)

Starfire: Superman, Brainiac, Apocalypse...

H. Quinn: And now this Gedoshu...

Supergirl: The world has actually changed. For the worse if we do not stop Damian and Rachel from escaping Stryker's Island. They mean to free Earth's worst nightmare - the monster I once called as a cousin. 

Batman: And we're not gonna let that happen. 

H. Quinn: Kara and I appreciate the Bat allowing us to join you. We're happy to help kick every criminal ass back to their cells.

(The muffled sound of explosions outside of the Batwing gets everyone's attention. Harley, Batman and Supergirl race back to the front of the Batwing in time to witness one of the helicopters in front of the Batwing catch fire. Batman quickly takes the co-pilot seat. As a fireball races to the left of their chopper, the helicopter on fire crashes into the ground, utterly destroying it. Another fireball explodes on the side of another chopper in front of them. 

H. Quinn: You gotta land this thing! 

(As the second chopper on fire crashes and explodes, the windshield suddenly shatters as a sword bursts through and Catwoman dodges it.)

Batman: He's here.

(Batman desperately tries to keep the helicopter from crashing. As Harley looks on in concern, a sound at the back of the chopper grabs her and Kara's attention. As they turn around, the Justice League members also look up to find someone else standing right in front of them, as if he'd just teleported there. That person is the first Ayakashi, Kagekamuro. Before the six members of the Justice League could react, Kagekamuro knocks each one of them out easily.)

Kagekamuro: Time to die.

(Before he could kill them, Shinken Red jumps in and draws his katana to face the Ayakashi.)

Shinken Red: Didn't think you were real.

(Kagekamuro hurls his sword at Shinken Red, who catches the sword and brings it level to his face, eyeing it up.)

Shinken Red: Damn, I'm good! 

(Jaune launches into a slash, catching Kagekamuro in the chest and almost sending him out of the back of the Batwing. Kagekamuro recovers quickly and throws the sword of sorrow at Jaune. He blocks it, parries two more of Kagekamuro's strikes, dodges a slash and smashes into the back of the Ayakashi's head with a super punch. Kagekamuro charges at Jaune, who just barely manages to block the Ayakashi's forearms and avoid being stabbed. Jaune desperately struggles, but he is forced to the floor by the Ayakashi power of Kagekamuro. Moments from death, Shinken Red finds the strength to shove Kagekamuro's arms away, then he kicks the Ayakashi away from him. As Kagekamuro staggers back, Supergirl lunges at him and tackles him out of the open side door of the Batwing. Kagekamuro manages to latch on to the side handle, with Supergirl flying back to check on her teammates. As Shinken Red lies on the floor of the Batwing, he notices another person has just entered. As he rolls to his knees, he gets a good look at who it is; it is another Ayakashi named Ootsumuji.)

Ootsumuji: You will not win, Shinkenger.

(Black Lightning and Vixen awaken in time to see Ootsumuji before them. They both try to attack him, but he blocks their attacks, and creates a gust of wind to hit them in his Shinkūtsumuji Muchi attack. Shinken Red manages to avoid it by dropping into his split-legged stance and quickly knocks Ootsumuji out of the Batwing.)

Shinken Red: Eugh, nasty! 

(Kagekamuro draws his blades again and charges at the current Shinken Red. Jaune manages to stop the blades with his own katana and shatter it. He hits Kagekamuro with his backflip-kick, knocking the Ayakashi against the ceiling. As he lands, Kagekamuro blocks a follow up kick and throws a slash, which Jaune avoids. As Kagekamuro blocks more kicks and punches from Jaune, the scene cuts to Ootsumuji and Supergirl, still flying on the Batwing's side. Ootsumuji finally blows Supergirl away, but the kryptonian manages to keep flying into the side of the Batwing. Back in the Batwing, Shinken Red blocks several slashes from Kagekamuro before catching him with a right cross. As he staggers away, Shinken Red suddenly senses someone behind him. Sure enough, Ootsumuji is standing right there. He promptly elbows the Ayakashi in the face, ducks another strike from Kagekamuro by doing the splits, and this time follows through by punching the Ayakashi right in the chest.)

Shinken Red: Bring it!

(As Kagekamuro recoils in pain, Shinken Red grabs his and Ootsumuji's heads and bashes them together. The first ayakashi stumbles back, and is hit by a heat vision. He is then violently hurled backwards through the chopper's back door, curtosey of Supergirl. Noticing Zatanna is holding Ootsumuji with her magic, Shinken Red grabs the Ayakashi and punches him out of the side door. Ootsumuji grabs onto the ladder and starts climbing back into the Batwing. Shinken Red, having had enough at this point, readies himself as the Ayakashi climbs back in.)

Shinken Red: No! 

(Jaune lunges at Ootsumuji and tackles him out of the Batwing, falling out himself in the process.They free fall for a few moments, with Jaune intending to smash Kagekamuro into the pavement. At the last second, both crash hard into the pavement. Despite Batman's best efforts, the Batwing crashes into the island a few moments later, carving out a large portion of the road. Batman smacks his head and loses consciousness, but the Batwing has not suffered enough damage to explode just yet. Shinken Red picks himself up off the sidewalk. Miraculously, he hasn't broken any bones in the fall. He struggles to his feet and starts towards the Batwing, but is stopped by Kagekamuro standing into his path. He jumps back into a fighting stance.)

Kagekamuro: The end is near. 

Shinken Red: Getting a little ahead of yourself, aren't ya? 

(They fight. Even after the vicious melee in the Batwing, Shinken Red demonstrates he isn't one of the major defenders of the Earth by being a mere huntsman. He takes the fight to the first Ayakashi and leaves him unconscious on the ground.)

Shinken Red: Gotta get back to the Batwing. As Batman starts to wake up, Shinken Red rushes over to the downed vehicle.)

Shinken Red: Batman! Get outta there-- 

(He is suddenly blown by another gust of wind. The gust is completely worn-out, but he visibly struggles to get on his feet as Ootsumuji walks up to him, again preparing his blade. Shinken Red draws his sword gets on his feet just in time for him to avoid a finishing swipe from the second Ayakashi. Shinken Red dodges another swipe and grabs the sword, using it to parry two more strikes before sweeping Ootsumuji's legs out from under him with the katana. He drops it and backs up to his feet, with Ootsumuji rising shortly after.)

Shinken Red: Whoo! THAT was unpleasently cold! 

(They fight. While many would struggle fighting a foe so powerful as Ootsumuji, Shinken Red proves more than ready to take him down. After a fierce battle, Jaune leaves the revenant down for the count.)

Shinken Red: Time to destroy you.

(Then he draws out his Katana and inserts the Lightning Disc into it before executing the Thunder Dance, destroying both Ayakashis.)

Shinken Red: This brings a chapter to an end!

(Shinken Red finally makes it to the helicopter, where Supergirl and the others are helping Batman and Catwoman down from it. Shinken Red assists them.

Shinken Red: You okay? 

(Batman nods his consent.)

Supergirl: We fared better before.

(After a moments silence, they race off together. At Stryker's Island, Shinken Gold takes down some of the rioters as Shinken Yellow and Super Soldier assist him. They charge at the rioters as Super Soldier hits Raven with his heat vision and Shinken Gold slashes Damian. Roman charges and grapples Shinken Gold, who fights back by punching and elbowing the Torchwick in the face, knocking him out. Emerald sneaks behind him only to get a roundhouse kick. Adam charges at Shinken Yellow, but Super Soldier saves her. Shinken Gold slashes Mercury before being tackled by Cinder Fall, who then grabs his neck, smirking in victory, but Kamen Rider Build (in his Genius Form) shoots her.)

Build: Hal told me to come here in case of you needing backup. 

Shinken Gold: Gee, thanks.

(Then Ironwood steps up.)

Ironwood: The parallel Jaune Arc.

Build: I'll send you back to your cell in no time.

(Then Clover, Vine and Marrow come in.)

Ironwood: Get him!

Clover: Yes sir.

(Then they charge at the heroes. Meanwhile at the entrance of Stryker's Island, the heroes are seen advancing to the tower as they see more Ayakashis.)

Rokuroneri: So he's done his job?

Yanasudare: I expect him soon.

Shinken Red: (whispers) Two more?

(Then the heroes prepare to fight them as another Ayakashi comes in.)

Supergirl: Another Ayakashi?

(Zuboshimeshi roars in attack and charges the Justice League. Supergirl leads a squad into battle as Batman's squad provide covering fire. The fighting is quickly noticed by the other two Ayakashis.)

Rokuroneri: There! 

(He runs into the battle. Batman turns and charges toward him as well, engaging in close kombat. In the melee, Zuboshimeshi and Supergirl parry each other's blades as Yanasudare goes directly into the middle of the Justice League. He kicks Mary Marvel in the chest, sending her sprawling. He shoots Vixen's hands with his weapon, then punches and elbows her in the stomach, taking her down. He kicks shoots Jay Garrick's arms and punches him down. Shinken Red springs into action with a flying kick. Yanasudare blocks this and several more roundhouse kicks from Jaune, before connecting with a back kick that knocks the former huntsman to the ground.)

Yanasudare: This is the end for you!

(Elsewhere in the melee, Batman ducks some swings from Rokuroneri's stretching arms, but gets punched in the leg, dropping him to his knees. Rokuroneri then punches him full in the face, knocking him over. Shinken Red gets the upper hand over Yanasudare by punching him twice in the face and laying him out with a crescent kick. The former huntsman looks over to see Rokuroneri advancing on Batman.)

Rokuroneri: This is your last mission, Batman. 

(Shinken Red intervenes just in time by tackling Rokuroneri to the ground. They both roll to their feet in fighting stances.)

Shinken Red: You're next to be destroyed!

Rokuroneri: You're going to be the one killed!

(They fight. Despite fighting a yokai augmented by sorcery, Shinken Red manages to dig deep and take the fight to the third Ayakashi. After a tough battle, Shinken Red eventually leaves Jax unconscious on the ground.)

Shinken Red: You're finished!

(Just like before, he draws out his Katana and inserts the Lightning Disc into it before executing the Thunder Dance, destroying the three Ayakashis.)

Zuboshimeshi: DAMN YOOOOU!

(Then the three Ayakashis explode, resulting in their deaths.)

Shinken Red: These monsters keep coming. I wonder where is their leader...

Batman: Stopping the riot is our priority for now.

(Back to the prison, the four heroes are seen facing three of the Ace Ops,  and then they combine their attacks and easily take them down, and then Shinken Red and his group come in, catching Ironwood's attention.)

Ironwood: The real Jaune finally appeared...

Shinken Red: It's Jaune Shiba now.

Ironwood: No matter, I'm taking you back to Remnant!

Shinken Red: You don't have any authority here, tin man. You never had.

(They fight. Shinken gives the fight of his life against the general of Atlas. Try as he may, Ironwood is unable to overcome him, and after a vicious brawl he is left on the ground by the former huntsman.)

Shinken Red: You really are not worthy of being a general.

(Then the remaining inmates are knocked out and taken back to their cells as Jaune thinks by himself.)

Shinken Red: The real final battle has begun...
