It was 5 in the morning when I woke I started my daily training routine 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and a 10 mile run. Whe. I checked the time it was close to 7 so I quickly got back to the dorms and took a shower. When I walk out I see my team looking at me on ethics had a blush that could potentially rival their hair.

Jaune: Are you guys ok?

Pyrrah: *Blushing mess* Uhhh, yep, yep, never better!

Jaune: Uhhh, ok? Well we should probably head to class.

Pyrrah: We'll catch up to you.

Jaune: Ok.
He says as he leaves for class.

Onepce i made it to the classroom I see the teacher getting ready to start class until he looks in my direction.

???: Ah, you must be Mr. Vinsmoke correct?

Jaune: Yes, that is correct sir.

Port: Well I am professor Port. Your grimm studies teacher. If you don't mind me asking why do you have your weapons with you?

Jaune: Well as a huntsman you have to be ready for anything to happen. Even if you're in a place that seems safe.

Port: Ahh, that is amazingly smart my young lad. I'll allow you to keep them just as long they aren't a distraction.

Jaune: Thank you sir.

Port: No need to thank me, you can sit wherever until class starts.

Jaune only nods his head and goes for an empty seat and waited until class started. While having short but casual conversations with Professor Port.

After a while class was about to start until my team and team RWBY came bursting through the doors out of breath.

Port: Ahh, you're late.

Ruby: Sorry professor, it won't happen again.

Port: It's fine. I'll let this go since this is the first day.

They nodded their heads and sat close to one another. As class was going on most of the people didn't even pay attention to Port due to him telling a story about his youth. But I on the other hand was one of the few who paid attention.

As I was writing down notes I noticed ruby was goofing off a little to which I found a bit funny but I had to stay strong. And I noticed Weiss was getting mad about it.

Port: Now who here has the qualities of a huntsman?

Before Weiss could say anything I raised my hand up and stood.

Jaune: I do sir.

Port: Well than Mr. Vinsmoke, by all means you go get changed.

Jaune: That won't be necessary sir.
He says as he walks down with one of his swords.

Port: Oh, is there a reason for this?

Jaune: A huntsman must always be prepared for anything even if your being attacked the enemy won't give you time to change into your own gear.

Port: Ahh, playing it smart. I understand.

I stood on one side while professor Port was standing beside a rattling cage.

Port: Are you ready Mr. Vinsmoke?

Jaune: Ready as I'll ever be. Question whats the toughest grimm you have?
He says as he ties up his headband.

Port: That would be an ersa major.

Jaune: Bring it out.

Port: Are you sure? There are other types of grimm.

Jaune: Its fine.

Port: Of you say so...Alright...now begin!
He says as he slammed his axe on the lock.

The grimm bursted out of the cage and then looked around until it laid its eyes on me. I had my hand on the handle of my sword, it was charging right at me and was about to strike till I zoomed past it when I fully sheathed my sword....it split into two.

After it turned to dust I was applaud by professor port.

Port: Very well done Mr. Vinsmoke! You have the full qualities of a huntsman. Ms. Schnee, I believe that it is your turn now.

Timeskip after Weiss's match

After her match I noticed ruby trying to cheer her up but she just got more mad about it. Tomwhich I was irritated by that. It was fact that she was trying to lighten up her grouchy mood. I told the others that I would catch up either them and followed Weiss and ruby. That's when I heard their argument.

After their argument I walked up to ruby who looked at me with tears in her eyes.

Ruby: Jaune? What are you doing here?

Jaune: Just checking on you.

Ruby: Jaune, is it true? Am I really a bad leader?

Jaune: *Sighs* Ruby, how long have you been here?

Ruby looked at me with confusion about what I meant.

Jaune: I mean like how long have you been in beacon?

Ruby: About...a day and a half.

Jaune: Exactly, ruby don't push yourself down so low. It's only the first day. Weiss is just not great at dealing with things like this. Look at me I'm a team leader just like you. But I don't let small things like this bring me down so easily. Ok?

Ruby nodded her head and said "Ok, thank you."

After that I went off to talk to the ice queen herself. To which it didn't take too long as I saw her looking over the railing.

Jaune: Hey Weiss.

I noticed that she was startled at first but relaxed when she saw me.

Weiss: Oh, hey Jaune. Congrats on your fight youndid really amazing.

Jaune: Thanks. But I'm here to talk about something else.

Weiss: Oh.

Jaune: Weiss, I heard yours and ruby's argument.

Weiss: Look it's just that I feel like I should have been the team leader.

Jaune: Then why?

Weiss: Huh?

Jaune: Why should you have been the team leader.

Weiss: The answer should most likely be obvious.

Jaune: Weiss look I'm going to be completely blunt with you. In my opinion you seem like the kind of person who was given everything on a silver platter.

Weiss: That's not true at all!

Jaune: Then there is also your attitude. Weiss you can't expect things to always go your way. Cause you wanna know why?

Weiss:..Why?

Jaune: Because the world itself is completely unfair. You see when I was younger I wanted to be a huntsman but my parents wouldn't even bother to help train me.

Weiss: Then how did you get so strong?
She asked curiously.

Jaune: I...met a couple people. Thats all I can really say...so, do you understand where I'm coming from.

Weiss:...I think I do.

Jaune: Look, just give Ruby a chance. She's still has a lot of learning to do. Especially when it comes to being a team leader. So instead of focusing on that, focus on being a better teammate cause I'm sure she would definitely appreciate that at the very least. Can you do that?

Weiss looked at me for a minute taking in everything that I had just said to heart.

Weiss: Yeah, I can do that at least. Thanks Jaune.

Jaune: No problem, just looking out for a friend.

As the day went by Weiss took what Jaune said to heart and when night time came, I came out of the dorm to hear Weiss talking to ruby a bit which brought a smile to my face knowing that I at least helped out a friend.

I noticed that she walked out and was startled seeing me across from the door.

Weiss: Oh Jaune I didn't see you there.

Jaune: I just wanted to say that I heard everything.

Weiss: Ohh...

Jaune: And I want to say that...I'm proud of you.

Weiss: Well i did have someone to teach me a bit of my wrongs.
She said with gratefulness.

I smiled at her and told her goodnight and went to sleep. Hoping that the next day will be at least interesting.
