Exile brings with it the overlooming cloud of sorrow, the stench of regret, and most of all, the unresolvable feeling of vengeance. The feeling of being cast away by the people your sole purpose for existing is to protect, leaves wounds not even time can heal. But can something else?

Jasper's life thus far has been filled with war and clouded by chaos. She has never known love or peace, only the grief and pain of a life taken from her many many years ago. The feeling Jasper had towards Pink Diamond was as close to love as she's ever gotten out of her numerous years of valiant service as the top member of the Gem Army. No more, no less. Some would say it was only loyalty, and yes that may be so. But, it was Jasper's determination that made her great. Even years after the shattering of her beloved diamond, Jasper went on, in search of her murderer only to find the same Quartz she was destined to seek out was too dead. However, if it wasn't for the loving heart and ability to forgive of Rose Quartz's only son, Steven Universe, Jasper would find herself the fate as Pink Diamond and Rose herself. Thanks to Steven, Jasper's corruption was reversed by the idea Jasper could be changed and, remarkably, Steven's healing spit. To most of the Gems surprise, Jasper could be changed. It wouldn't be easy, but it could be done.

Shortly after her revival, Jasper still had hatred for Crystal Gems as it was only in her nature to hate. As much as she despised them, the ex war general was somehow eternally grateful to them. How couldn't she? As a trained and disciplined soldier you should be grateful when someone saves your life, regardless of past discrepancies. Many believe Jasper is a monster incapable of anything civilized, when it is just the opposite. She is an elite soldier, brought up on the ideas that being the best of the best is the only way to go about life. You can't go about life and expect to get anywhere by being rude to everyone you meet. Unless, of course, you plan on being a politician.

Being cured by her long time enemies sparked something in Jasper that not even Garnet could've predicted with her future vision. With graditude in mind, the orange gem set off back to Homeworld in search of a way to get away from the horrors of her past. Unfortunately, her return was much less of an event than expected. Yellow Diamond was furious that Jasper had let her guard down enough to be corrupted and in her weakness to get rid of the Crystal Gems while she had the chance. As a result, Jasper was exiled from Homeworld, Yellow Diamond specifically telling her that she was "to live on Earth like the weak, sympathetic shell of a soldier" she's become. But that is not true. I guess you'll find that out. You're going to turn her world upside down, left, right, and back again. You'll see. Just wait.

Alright everyone, what did you think? This chapter was just like a teaser or "trailer" if you must. It's basically only background information essential to the plot. The real juicy stuff starts soon.

Next chapter is going to start off from Jasper's point of view, then I'll do a portion from your point of view. Let me know if you like the plot or can think of any ideas how to make this better.

Oh, and may I add this is my first story and my first Jasper x Reader. If no one seems to find interest in this story, I won't continue. But for those of you who want to read the rest, you're in for a wild story I'm positive you won't be able to stop reading. Stay tuned my lovelies!!
