Chapter Thirteen, Bye-Bye Edweirdo

Chapter Thirteen, Bye-Bye Edweirdo

Previously on Jasper's Hope:

"Carlisle, Esme, if we do not do something about him now then he will join Voldemort and be the death of Dahlia, her parents and friends, and countless others!" Alice insisted, shocking everyone.

"Y-you've seen..." Esme asked shocked, a hand covering her mouth unable to finish her question.

"Yes." Alice muttered. "After everything that happened with Umbridge he will plan another course of action. He's killing for sport. He is determined to end them, end Jasper and anyone who gets in his way. He thinks he's superior due to his ability and that he thinks he is faster than all of us and can get to them before we can stop him. Not knowing Jasper is faster than all of us, not him."

Jasper roared with anger, jumping from his seat so fast he sent it flying into the wall with such force a small dent appeared as Major took over once more.

"We will not let that happen, Major!" Emmett promised, quickly standing to rest a tentative hand on his shoulder as he knew Jasper and Major were pushed to their limit. what with the torture Dahlia has suffered, the plot between Umbridge, Fudge and Edward and now this; it was too much for anyone to stand. "I will not let Edward, or anyone hurt Lia! She is like a daughter to Rose and I and if I have to rip the heads of anyone who poses a threat to her then so be it!" A dark look appeared on the once happy-go-lucky vampire, he meant every word and they all knew it too.

"When will it happen, Alice?" Rosalie asked, hoping they had time to stop it. Stop Edward.

"In June." Was all Alice said. "If he succeeds and Sirius dies, it WILL break Lia."

"Then we can't let that happen." Esme stated, Edward may be her first child in this life, but she loved Lia, and he has gone too far, and the poor girl has been through so much that she simply couldn't bear it if what Alice saw came to pass and she and Carlisle did nothing. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself and she knew none of the others would either. She knew they barely trusted them as it was.

"How is she?" she asked desperately.

"She's worse than she was this past summer." Major replied tersely. "All the work she put in; all the progress she made has been undone. All because of those cretins!"

"I'll see if I can find anything for her at the hospital and ask Sirius whether it'll help, maybe some exercises." Carlisle suggested thoughtfully. Like his wife he had come to terms with what must happen to Edward to save Dahlia, from all accounts he barely even recognised the young man he first knew all those centuries ago. He was worse than even some of the Guard of the Volturi and he knew if they did not step in the Ministry and the Volturi certainly would; and the last thing Carlisle wanted was to upset the Volturi or let Edward join ranks with Voldemort. Everything would burn if that were to happen.

Barely even glancing at them Major nodded, pacing up and down as he tried to think of a way to end things before June. His strategic mind worked through each thought and plan that either he or Jasper came up with a fine-tooth comb.

"Major, I'll track him." Emmett insisted. "You know that's my second ability. I'll track him and we can end this. End him before June."

"Alrigh'." Major nodded as that was the best option of finding him. "Carlisle, contact the Denali's. Tell them what happened and that we need them here now!" Major ordered, watching shrewdly to make sure his order was carried out.

"Alice, keep a track on his movements. Rose. Zoe, can I.."

"We'll keep watch over Hogwarts." Zoe interrupted, knowing what he was going to ask.

She knew if it came to it she could use her gift to create a force field around the edges of the wards.

"We'll make sure neither he, Voldemort, Fudge or any of their minions get near Hogwarts." Rosalie swore, a dark gleam in her eyes. A yearning for retribution had taken hold of her intertwining with her very being much like it had when she killed her attackers and rapists.

"Thank you." Jasper nodded gratefully, taking control once more now that a plan was in place the tight ball of anxiety and anger had eased a bit allowing for them to calm down and Major to give up the control. "Let's go, Emmett."

"We have a scumbag to track!" Emmett grinned with a hunger of protection gleaming in his eyes.

Chapter Thirteen, Bye-Bye Edweirdo

A few weeks had gone by since the discussion with Carlisle and Esme, during that time Emmett had dedicated the majority of his time to searching for Edward following up any leads he picked up via his Tracking gift or given to him by Alice, only pausing his search to either train with Jasper on the best way to fight (a training that Jasper gave to Rosalie, Alice and Zoe as well) or to hunt to keep his strength up and to avoid any unnecessary accidents. He wasn't the only one to be on a mission either. In between teaching their classes, Sirius and Remus – with help from Nymphadora Tonks, Alastor Moody and Kingsley Shacklebolt – were searching for the remaining Horcruxes; often following leads from Alice or tracking them via a ritual Sirius had found in the Black Grimoire.

The ritual he found, followed the traces left behind using Tom Riddle's diary or Hufflepuff's Cup (that had been found in Gringotts by the Black Account Manager when the Horcrux had been removed from Dahlia) as a starting point. Currently they have destroyed four out of the seven Horcruxes. There was the one in Dahlia that had been removed and destroyed by Gringotts in the summer, the Diary which had been destroyed by Dahlia in her second year, Helga Hufflepuff's Cup that had been destroyed Gringotts, and Marvolo Gaunt's ring that had been destroyed a few days ago by Remus using the Sword of Gryffindor.

Remus had figured out that since it was Goblin-made and their daughter had stabbed the Basilisk with it in her second year it was therefore imbued with Basilisk venom, which meant it was the safest way to destroy the Horcruxes.

"Master Sirius." Kreacher croaked, twisting his fingers anxiously, pulling Sirius from his thoughts as he looked up from the plans they had made to not only end the traitorous vampire known as Edward but also Voldemort and the war.

"Yes Kreacher?" Sirius asked, biting back the flood of memories of his torturous childhood that Kreacher unknowingly and unconsciously brought forth.

"Kreacher has something for Master Sirius. Kreacher knows he is destroying the abominable magic items He-Must-Not-Be-Named made." Kreacher muttered anxiously.

"What is it, Kreacher?" Remus asked as he entered the room, sitting beside Sirius offering his husband and mate's hand a comforting and soothing squeeze. Remus' presence seemed to be a balm and barrier against the memories and Sirius's shoulders untensed minutely.

"Master Regulus found out about the Horcruxes." Kreacher muttered quietly, looking down at his feet as tears flooded his voice and eyes.

"W-what?" Sirius stuttered, his chest suddenly becoming tight as if there was a weight pressing down upon it. For the next hour Kreacher told them the tale of how Regulus truly died to the two wizards' horror, the item he had retrieved just before he died and how he had ordered Kreacher to destroy it but no matter how hard he tried the old elf found nothing worked.

"Can...can you bring it here? I can destroy it!" Sirius asked, his voice hard as his determination to end the monster who had taken both his brothers from him and had imploded his family. Kreacher nodded before he disappeared only to reappear moments later with the cursed locket hanging gingerly from his grasp.

"Are you sure, Siri? I can do it." Remus muttered ten minutes later, a comforting hand on his husband's shoulder as he stared darkly at the locket that Kreacher placed on a stone slab in the forest, the sword hanging limply from his right hand.

"No. No, I can do it." Sirius muttered darkly, glaring at the locket. "For our daughter. For Reggie. For James and Lily." With that Sirius stepped away from Remus and swung the sword at the locket bringing it down with a resounding force. Instantly a black smoke rose up from the now cracked locket with a scream before it disappeared, the soul-shard transporting to Death's Realm where it would be melded with the other pieces as Death waited for the rest of Tom Riddle so they could make the self-proclaimed Dark Lord pay for what he had done to their Mistress and her family. Ignotus and his line had always been their favourite, but none so more than Dahlia Potter-Black.

"Five down, only two to go." Remus stated, resting a hand on Sirius's back. Offering his husband the strength he needed. He knew the Horcrux liked to make you rethink everything, drain you and taunt you with your fears; and he couldn't help but shiver at what their poor daughter must have experienced with that in her for the last fourteen years while also marvelling at her strength. "Thank you Kreacher." He nodded to the House-elf who nodded back – a lightness to him now – before he returned back to Black Manor. "I'll do the ritual to find the next one. Then I'll send a Patronus message to Kingsley, Moody, Tonks and one to Jasper and the others letting them know we've destroyed another one and where the next one is."

Sirius nodded, taking the moment Remus offered him to regather his strength. He wanted this war over as soon as possible and all threats to his daughter vanquished as soon as possible. He was just glad there wasn't a Horcrux in the same vicinity as Dahlia anymore; only for the results of the ritual to change that.

"Oh for Merlin's sake!" Sirius cursed angrily, throwing a Reducto at any rock closest to them. Glaring at the results of the ritual as if it were the bane of existence. There was another Horcrux in Hogwarts. Another one of these abominable things near his sweet daughter.

"We'll end it before the day's out, Sirius!" Remus promised glaring at the results as well. Moony howling in rage within his mind. He knew he was going to have a pounding headache before the day's out, but Remus thought if that were the simplest price he had to pay to ensure his daughter's safety then he would do so gladly and without second thought.

~ Outskirts of London, two weeks later ~

As the snow and the bitterly cold winds melded into rain and slightly warmer weather, it brought with it Dahlia and her year revising for their O.W.Ls, and Fred, George and Lee revising for their N.E.W.Ts; which meant the deadline to stop Edward was creeping quickly up on them all. Thankfully, in the first week of March Emmett finally had tracked Edward to an abandoned factory on the outskirts of London with over twenty dead bodies littering the floor completely drained of blood. It only took so long as it would seem Edward has been running all over the UK capturing and killing both men and women of all ages.

But Emmett was startled to realise that the majority of the women littering the floor were redheads and the majority of the men were blondes; slight relief gripped him as there was no children, but it shadowed by the number of dead that resembled the girl he saw as a daughter and the number of dead men who resembled his brother. Taking a moment to steady himself, Emmett darted away to get a good distance so Edward wouldn't hear the clack of keys as he sent a text to Jasper to let him know that he had found Edward, but he also warned him of the sight that would greet all of them. Within the next hour Emmett was joined by Jasper, his lovely Rosalie, Alice, and Zoe. Only a slight shock gripped the large vampire when he saw Kate, Tanya and Irina had joined them but no Carmen or Eleazar.

"Carmen and Eleazar are keeping Carlisle and Esme company." Kate explained, powering up her electrocution power, while Zoe created a force field so Edward couldn't escape.

"I honestly can't believe they've let it get this far to be honest." Irina scoffed.

"You and us both." Rosalie scoffed, a dark look in her eyes. There was no mercy that could be seen in her expression and nor would she offer her ex-brother any. Not by killing those who resembled the girl she saw as a daughter; and she knew Edward knew that. Which meant he was also killing those poor people to hurt her, Emmett and Jasper the most in the event they found him.

"The minute we get in, Emmett and I will restrain him as we're the fastest and strongest." Jasper explained strategically.

"Kate, you come in and electrocute him in case he gets loose or if you just want to." Jasper added as Major came to the forefront of his mind. "All of you use your training I gave you to your advantage, but do not let him know your next move or get his arms around you. If we all work together we can easily end this, especially as we outnumber him eight-to-one."

"Right, now. Before he works out he can't leave. He's about ready to go feed again." Alice stated, her eyes vacant as she looked into the future. With those words in mind they all darted back towards the factory pushing themselves to the limit to get there before he worked out what's happening.

Thankfully, they got through the force field and into the factory gates just as Edward left the factory itself. The Denali sisters couldn't help but to gasp in horror faltering at the sight of the man they've classed as a cousin for centuries. He now sported blood-red distant eyes that only held malicious intent and hunger, dried blood covering his shirt and staining his mouth. He could almost pass as Caius Volturi with the look on his face; a hunger for blood, for power, and for greed.

"Come on." Zoe hissed to the three sisters as Jasper and Emmett grabbed Edward's arms and forced him down to his knees, arms forced at a painful angle that would stop any attempt of escape.

"How?" Edward hissed; eyes fixed on Jasper who had been the first to reach him.

He had barely even seen Jasper approaching him until he felt Jasper force his arm back and kick one of his knees out from him cracking it.

"I'm supposed to be the fastest!" Edward complained in a whiny tone.

"Sorry to disappoint but Jazz has always been the fastest." Emmett smirked at him as he gripped Edward's arm in a fierce grip that caused cracks in his shoulder that creeped down his arm like vines crept up a house.

"It's over Edward." Rosalie hissed as she and Kate gripped Edward's head pulling as the latter electrocuted him. While Tanya and Irina stood in front of Zoe and Alice to protect them.

"You can't stop me!" Edward growled. "I will kill Dahlia, and you will be without a child and a mate." He threw at Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper hoping to distract them which unfortunately worked as Rosalie and Emmett faltered for a moment.

That moment was all it took for Edward to throw them off. But Jasper wasn't going to allow him to get away. He jumped up and attacked once more, using all of his training from his human life and the beginning of this life when he was forced to be a part of the Vampire Wars to aid him as he threw punches and dodge so expertly as he anticipated Edward's moves before he even made them you would think he was the mind reader. The second he twitched slightly in the direction of Zoe and Alice, Jasper threw him back into Emmett and Kate's grasp while he took the position to guard Alice and Zoe allowing Irina and Tanya the chance to get their punches in. When everyone had gotten their punches in, Jasper decided to end it before Edward could anticipate the others' next moves.

He was partly thankful for his training as he also knew when to end a battle before your opponent could get the upper hand.

"Hold him down!" Major ordered, once more at the forefront as he stalked to the kneeling mind reader as if he were Major's prey. "You will regret ever crossing me boy, and you will regret ever crossing my mate as there's one thing you should know about the Potters." He smirked as he leant in and whispered into Edward's ear. "Death is VERY overprotective of the Potters but none more so than Dahlia. So good luck Edward, you've angered a deity, and I would hate to be you right now." With that Major stood back up relishing in the fear he could see building in Edward's eyes as he quickly decapitated him.

Without much preamble Major, Emmett and Rosalie tore him to pieces and threw him into a fire that Kate, Tanya and Irina had created. As the Denali sisters left the rest of them watched as Edward burnt to ashes; they had to make sure that the threat he posed was completely extinguished. They didn't even feel any remorse over his demise nor any guilt that it had been at their hands, they had hated him for years for the inadequacy they had felt and self-consciousness the man had caused in all of them in one thing or another over the decades. All they could think was that another threat to Dahlia had been dealt with and all that was left were Voldemort and his Death Eaters. All who will surely meet their fate; and soon.
