Chapter Nine, Date with a Major

Chapter Nine, Date with a Major

While Dahlia was in a carriage with Luna (who had helped her enter the carriage and would help her exit before she left to buy more quills while she waited for her friend), on her way to Hogsmeade for her date with Jasper, Sirius and Remus called her remaining friends to Sirius' office to find out what was going on with their daughter who they were greatly concerned for. During all of this Fred, George and Lee were causing a diversion with pranks and a portable swap which was a creation of Fred and George's own making.

"Right," Sirius said firmly addressing Ron, Neville and Kellah after he and Remus had warded his office so tightly it would put Grimmauld Place to shame. "What is going on with our daughter? And I want the truth!" He ordered just daring them to lie to him as he paced up and down his office.
"It's Umbridge," Kellah spoke up, tears and a fire in her whiskey brown eyes, "she's torturing Li-Li with a Blood Quill in the detentions making her carve 'I Must Not Tell Lies' into her hand over and over again."

"She's banned her indefinitely from Quidditch and Duelling Club, keeps her locked in her office torturing her until one in the morning leaving Dahlia forced to stay up all night to complete the homework." Neville added a fire in his own light brown eyes.
"She doesn't sleep from the torture sessions and the nightmares. Umbridge calls her an attention seeker for the shakes and stuttering from the curse damage and she threatened to have Remus killed by the Creature Department in the Ministry if she ever told anyone." Ron spat, his ears a scarlet red from his anger.

"She's reduced Li-Li to several panic attacks and breakdowns as that bitch also tortures her because she's Jasper's mate." Kellah spat, tears of anger rolling down her cheeks as her clenched fists shook in anger. Whatever Sirius and Remus had been expecting it most certainly wasn't this. There were no words to describe just how angry they felt at the torture their poor Princess was subjected to, even the Psychological torture made them so angry that they both had to hold back Padfoot and Moony who wanted to hunt Umbridge down and play tug of war with her tearing her limb from limb. To use her fear of losing more parents against her, they had no words; just thinking about it was enough to make them almost lose control.

Without a word to the three teens, and with his control waning only held back by the skin of his teeth, Remus sent a Patronus to Minerva asking to discreetly come to Sirius' office with Madam Bones. They would make that foul woman pay for what she's done but they also couldn't give in to Moony or Padfoot who were howling in rage just waiting for them to slip so they could break free and end that miserable woman. But they couldn't allow that to happen as it would be a sure fire way for Dahlia to lose them and that's one thing they would never allow to happen; they'd never allow anyone to separate them from their daughter. Not even themselves.

~ The Three Broomsticks, Private Room, Hogsmeade ~

Sirius and Remus weren't the only ones who were holding their anger and other selves back by the skin of their teeth, Jasper was barely holding onto his own anger while holding back Major but Rosalie didn't have such qualms. She was pissed! Pissed at whoever had been hurting and torturing her little sister in a place where she should have been safe especially as the old coot was no longer in Hogwarts. All of her little sister's hard work to recover from the Nerve Damage has been undone and added to.

"Who did this to you, sweetie?" Rosalie crooned while spitting fire with her eyes, a snarl on her lips; a deep contrast to her soft tone. She was fully prepared to storm the school and break her streak of never consuming human blood, something she was more than happy to do if it meant removing the threat to her little sister.

"It was the new teacher, Umbridge, the one who had been at the trial and who has made it so hard for Papa with all these new laws against werewolves." Dahlia confessed she knew Kellah, Neville and Ron were speaking to her parents aided by the distraction Fred, George and Lee were causing. They had promised her that they wouldn't allow her to lose another set of parents and she trusted her friends, her siblings more than anyone. Thanking Luna as she helped her into a chair beside Jasper and opposite Rosalie before her little sister took a seat next to the taller blonde. Jasper growled lifting her injured hand and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of it causing Dahlia to hiss as pain flared up her arm from her hand.

"Sorry Darlin'." Jasper apologised, holding her close as he closed his eyes. He had wondered what was going on as her writing had become shakier in her letters to him and he hated that he had written it off when Alice assured him she hadn't seen anything and he couldn't help but wonder if she had seen something or something was blocking her but he intended to find out.
"I've missed you and Major, Jazz." Dahlia whispered, pulling him back from his anger-filled discussion with Rosalie and Luna as the duo planned to storm the castle when she and Luna returned later.
"We've missed you too Darlin' but don't distract me." Jasper whispered reverently, pressing a kiss to her forehead as his anger felt like a volcano just waiting to irrupt.

"You were supposed to be safe there. But instead you've been tortured physically, emotionally and psychologically, your parents' lives have been threatened, your health has deteriorated and all your hard work over the summer has been undone, and you've been tormented by your peers on top of that. As well as cut off from Quidditch and Duelling. This isn't okay, sweetheart."
"Far from it!" Rosalie hissed, her fangs peeking out over her red painted lips. "I will kill this pink toad for what she's done to you!"
"I'm afraid that there is a line." Luna interrupted Rosalie's anger-filled rant, her silver-blue eyes frigid like shards of ice and her voice lacking the dreamlike warmth but instead was as cold as Rosalie's.

"We're not angry at you, sister." Luna added, knowing Dahlia so well. "We're angry FOR you." She quickly assured her first friend who was more like a big sister to her than anything else. Dahlia always protected her from those who bullied her because she saw the world differently, for believing in Magical Creatures that had yet to be discovered or long thought extinct, for her father being the editor and creator of the Quibbler, and due to her lack of mother. So now it was Luna's turn to protect her big sister and so she shall; if there was one thing anyone should know about Luna was she was fiercely loyal and fiercely protective over those she considered her loved ones.

So while Jasper and Dahlia sat curled up against each other enjoying quality time together holding hands and sharing what they had gotten up to while sipping on tankards of Butterbeer whispering sweet nothings and sharing chaste kisses, Luna and Rosalie spent the time planning how to exact their revenge on those who had hurt Dahlia while keeping an eye on the couple. The Wizarding World had best watch out as Dahlia's loved ones were on the warpath and they'd rather see the world burn than have Dahlia hurt once more.
