Chapter 8- His Home Part 2
She looked at me strangely.
I removed my hand and backed up a couple of steps. She seemed to relax. I had a couch but I didn't put her on in fear she would fall off, so she seemed surprised to see a couch next to her.
I motioned my hand for her to go and sit there. She obliged and stood up slowly to sit.
She put her hands together and realised the bandage that was there.
I sat next to her and she tensed up. I didn't know how to calm her down without talking so I started rubbing her head.
She flinched the first couple seconds but then relaxed.
"Why did you kill them and not me?" She asked as calmly as she could. I knew she was scared because she stars shaking a little when she said it.
I pointed to her and gave a thumbs up. I pointed to the door and gave a thumbs down. She looked confused at me for a second them nodded her head in understanding.
I smiled at her under the mask.
Jason
I walked out of the room to my mother's shrine. I listened intently to my Mother's voice.
Do you really think she could love you?
I nodded and smiled the biggest smile thinking about her liking me.
Okay Jason, then you need to act nice around her, and control your temper, and be kind to her and do NOT KILL HER OR IN FRONT OF HER!
I flinched at my mother's harsh tone. All her teachings taught me to be normal at this a point. Instead of being childish all those years. And discipline happened a lot.
I walked back out to the living room to see her gone. Panicked and angry, I immediately grabbed my machete and ran around when I saw her in the kitchen looking in the cabinets above her.
I built them a bit high and it was pleasurable to see her struggle and try to get up the counter to see if there was food.
For Mother, I had a lot of food that other campers have had. I guess to make me feel more human.
When she finally almost got up, her leg collapsed beneath her and she fell, I ran to catch her and caught her in the position you would hold a babe in.
I smiled at her but I knew she couldn't tell.
I carried her back and put my machete back in its place.
I went back to the kitchen and grabbed some granola bars and graham crackers for her, as well as water bottles.
She eat it all quickly and sat in an uncomfortable looking position. (I mean she looks uncomfortable. Like hands in lap, back straight, formal sitting position.)
I sat next to her again and she got more tense. I pet her hair softly.
She was very tense but I waited for her to calm down.
When she did, she looked tired, so I picked her up and laid her head in my lap, as well as most of her body.
She panicked at first, but after a minute, she fell in a deep slumber.
I continued to pet her and did so for 3 hours before she woke up.
I heard cops coming and going, but knowing they have never solved the mystery of this place for years, just gave up.
