Jasmine's pov

I yawned in Papa's house as I rose from my bed. I made my way into the kitchen, in my black, knee length nightgown. Papa had to head to Hogwarts to help Auntie Pomfrey brew healing potions for the year. I ate a lovely bacon and spinach omelette and went to pack my trunk. I whistled and got my beautiful Frost into her cage and covered it with an icey blue sheet. I flooed to the platform, only to be  immediately tackled by two warm bodys. 

"Pans, Blaise, I need to breathe!" 

"Sorry!"

They let me up and we boarded the train together. Fredrick and Georgian walked into the room soon after. 

"Hey guys." 

George sat down and pulled Freddy onto his lap, where the neko promptly fell asleep. I let my wings out of my blazer and leaned against the window, the coldness suddenly appealing to me very well. 

"Jasmine? Are you okay?" 

"I feel fine Pans, just a little nausea." 

"Would you like some water?" 

"Please." 

Blaise flagged down the trolly and bought some water and peppermint sticks. 

"Here. People say that peppermint can sooth a person's stomach." 

"Thanks." 

I drank the water and leaned against the window again. After reaching the school Isaw beautiful black bony horses with wings standing by the carriagges. 

"Thestrals." 

"The horse one can only see if they've seen death?" 

"Yeah, there's two per carriage." 

I stroked the neck of one before climbing into the carriage. I curled up on the seat and shifted into a teen dragon, a skill I picked up over the summer. I was roughly the size of golden retriever. 

My carriage door opened to reveal two people. The first was a fourth year female Hufflepuff who held a pink flowery bag. The second was a another girl who was tall, so she was assumed to be third or fourth year, with raven black hair. They both had bright blue eyes. 

"May we sit here?" 

I nodded, pointing my snout to the seats beside Fredrick and Georgian. I shifted back and they introduced themselves. 

"Hello! My name is Ruby Shebatschy and this is my younger sister Kimberly. It's her first year at Hogwarts." 

"Shouldn't she be in the boats?" 

"They left without her, so she's tagging along with me. Brownies?" 

She reached into her bag and pulled out cute bags with brownies. I took a bag with little swirls of flames on it. 

"Lady Rosewood-Snape, that one is a bit spicy." 

"Okay." 

I bit into it and smiled. 

"It's delicious thank you Ruby." 

She smiled widely. 

"Give me your hands Ruby." 

She did so and I held my wand over them. 

"Apparent Crustulum."

 A soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie appeared in her hand. Kimberly perked up and tugged on Ruby's sleeve. 

"Kimmy wants to know if she can have one." 

I smiled at her. 

"Kimberly, what is your favorite type of cookie?" 

"White chocolate macadamia nut." 

I held my wand over her hands. 

"Apparent Crustulum." 

The cookie appeared in her hand and she just lit up. I smiled and leaned my head on the window. Soon enough we got off the carriage and Kimberly scampered off to the other first years. Kimberly was the only first year to go into Hufflepuff. 

I looked up at the head table and saw a woman dressed in a disgusting pink dress. She was short and stubby and gave the impression of an ugly, smug, toad. I picked up she was from the ministry and that she was the new DADA Professor. 

I distanced myself from the group on the way to the common room, making my way to the hospital wing. 

"Auntie, I think there's something wrong with me." 

"Alright dear, lay down and I will do a diagnostic check." 

I did as Auntie Pomfrey told me to. She waved her wand over me. My body was engulfed in a warm, pale yellow light.

"Sweetie, I suggest you take a Pepper Up potion, and if you still don't feel well, return tomorrow morning." 

"Alright, thank you Auntie." 

I gave her a quick hug and walked out. On the way down the hall, I ran into both Papa and the ministry woman. 

"Hello Papa. Good evening, Ma'am." 

I almost got past them successfully, but Papa placed his hand on my shoulder. I turned and looked at his worried expression, buy the lady cut him off before he could speak. 

"Miss Potter, why are you out of your dorm at night?" 

She held fake happiness and there was a sinister undertone laced in her voice. I felt Papa's hand tighten as he grew more agitated.

"I'm sorry, who are you? I am not a Potter. I'm Jasmine Rosewood-Snape. And to answer your rudely asked question, I was leaving the hospital wing because I was feeling ill all day. Now if you excuse me." 

I barely took notice of my flaming red hair and red eyes as I transformed into a baby Opaleye dragon and flew to the dungeon. Along the way I saw Kimberly getting picked on by two First year lions. I transformed back and flashed my Prefect Badge at them. 

"Detention both of you."

I picked up Kimberly and lifted her onto my back. I silently conjured a cookie laced with sleeping potion. I petrified the two First Years and levitated them behind me as I made my way to Professor McGonagall's office. When she opened the door I floated them to her. 

"Minnie, keep your cubs in the dorms at night please, they were bullying this first year." 

"Thank you Jasmine dear. Here's a pass so you don't get in trouble going back to your dorm. I'll deal with these two." 

"Good night Aunt Minnie." 

I gave her a hug and I ran into Filch just before I walked inside the dormitory. 

"Miss Rosewood-Snape?" 

"Good evening Argus. How bad was it?" 

"Dung bombs in the girls lavatory." 

"I'm sorry to hear that. Hello Mrs. Norris." 

I bent down to scratch her ears and cast a silent healing charm on her stomach. 

"Argus, I actually made something for Mrs Norris over the summer. A feather light charm light pink collar. I enchanted it, with help from Papa, to violently throw away anyone who is about to harm her. It pains me to see her in pain." 

I show the light pink, leather collar to him, before gently slipping it onto her neck. 

"It's also charmed to be irremovable to everyone but you. So you can take it off to give her a break, when your both safe in your quarters."

"Thank you Miss Jasmine, I never before in my life, received such a thoughtful gift. Mrs Norris appreciates it too. We'll write you a pass to the Hufflepuff Dormitory to drop off Miss Shebatschy."

Said cat was rubbing at my shins, purring. I gave her another scritch behind her ears, adjust Kimberly on my back, received a pass, and continued my trek to the Hufflepuff dorms. 

"Jasmine? Kimmy!"

I found Ruby in the hall looking panicked. She quickly took her little sister, hugging her tightly. 

"I found her in the Hospital wing getting picked on by some first year Gryffindors. I gave her a cookie with sleeping potion, so she'll be sleeping until tomorrow morning."

"Thank you so much!"

"I'm just doing my Prefect duties. Try to keep her in a group? Gryffindor has quite a few, bold, bullies and I don't want to see anyone get hurt."

"Of course. I'll talk to Madam Sprout about it. Again, thank you so, so much."

"It's no trouble. Now go get to sleep."

I waved her down the hall, falling into the wall next to me, leaning on it heavily. I could see bit of the skin on my arms and palms were hardening into greenish purple scales. I tucked my arm into my school robes and hurried down to the Slytherin dorms. 

When I entered through my door, Blaise was sleeping on the floor haphazardly, while Pansy slept neatly in her bed. I changed into a dark green, long sleeved shirt and a pair of black and silver checkered pants. 

I went to sleep hoping, I imagined the scales on my arm.

Geez, two long years since the last chapter of Jasmine Rosewood aka Jasmine Potter. I'm sure you've seen two new faces. 

Ruby and Kimberly. They are ocs that @Diamonds_and_Rubies_ and @MikkiSteel2             own. They won a little contest in the last chapter on the first book and the made ocs to be a part of this one.
