He ran quickly to see what’s happening…he went to Jasmine’s room first but everything was fine and Jasmine was asleep, he closed the door and went to Marco’s room, he couldn’t find him, he felt something was off, he took a baseball bat in case he needed it,  he went downstairs…, there was a big mess in the house, living room all messed up, kitchen’s stuff on the floor, Johnny never been this scared before, the fear ate his tongue, he couldn’t say a word… Suddenly she heard a gunshot, her heart skipped a beat, she forgot how to breathe, to think:” Johnny told me to stay in bed should I stay or go? Maybe he got hurt? Where the gunshot came from? What should I do? Where are my children…” Hundreds and hundreds of more questions...Her fear on her family couldn’t keep her still she has to do something… She ran down as fast as she can yet so quietly and what she saw was frightening and terrifying…

Before 11 years...

On a rainy day, a 14-year-old brunette girl named Jasmine was watching her favorite show like usual while her mom keeps the remote so she won’t pass a lot of time watching and then turn it off after one hour.  That day, her mom was cooking dinner and she forgot about Jasmine. Suddenly her brother, Marco, came and ran straight to the television and changed it to the news.
“Just a minute Jasmine I’ll give you chocolate later”
The news: "today in America: in our news, we have a conflict between a firefighter and a civilian on ... "
" Why did you switch the Chanel?!"

“Just a second mom that might be my friend!”
"The news is not suitable for her age so switch it back and come help me, your father  will be here soon"
“ugh, fine”
"Come on my little darling keep your show and forget everything you watched before"
After a few minutes, the door rings,
"Have someone open up to your father and help him with his bags"
The door remains to ring,
"One minute we're coming!"
 Johny, the father, is the most mysterious person in this family, he doesn't talk much, but to him, jasmine is a very special person,  not just because she’s only his daughter but she also reminds him of his young self, he just sees something in her that no one else does.
No one answered her so she had no choice but to open herself
"Good evening darling"
"A little help please…"
“yeah sure, I don’t know where is Marco he’s not answering me, let me take that from you”
Marco came and helped his father too, Jasmine washed her hands and prepared the table…Five minutes later…
"Dinner is ready"

At dinner:
"So, honey, how was your trip?"
"It was good, I brought a lot of surprises y’all"
"Thank you very much dad!” they both said…

After dinner Jasmine went to bed her dream was interesting let’s hear about it: ”her mother came into her brother’s room and ran into some cigarettes in his jacket’s pocket, her mother went crazy and went downstairs and start shouting:
“MARCO! come here NOW! I said NOW!!”
“what! what’s wrong?”Johny said
“Imma just  have a little chat with your son no worries”
“yes, mom? what happened?”
“what are those?”
“where did you get that? wait, you went through my stuff?”
“that’s NOT what I asked! for how long?
“WHY YOU WENT TROUGH MY STUFF!”
“Don’t you dare raise your voice on me like that! why are you smoking cigarettes that are not good for your health Marco quit it NOW.” and then she went to throw them in the garbage…
“NO DON’T! why do you even care just leave me alone!”
“darling of course we care why are you saying that”
"This is my life, no one has the right to tell me what to do and what not to do. My life, my decisions “
The father joined the conversation and said:” "Marco wait, you know we are not against your choices but you must tell, we must know what you are going through and why you’re doing this”
“SINCE WHEN DO YOU CARE?GO TAKE CARE OF JASMINE ISN’T SHE THE FAVORITE CHILD?”

Marco got angrier and threw the vase with all his power on the floor. All the pieces spread on the floor but the mother got hurt and injured her leg.
“Marco go get the first-aid kit!HURRY!”
One hour later when the mother got better and had some rest, Marco came to her…
“ you feeling good? how’s your leg?”
“I’m great Marco don’t worry”
“About what happened earlier…I’m sorry I didn’t mean that to happen plus I wasn’t aware what I was saying I- I’m sorry”
“It's fine honey as long as you don’t hide anything from us no more, you know if you need anything or just to talk we’re here for you” and then they hugged.

The next morning…Jasmine woke up and went downstairs.
“Good morning Jasmine, you’re up early…”
“Mom? what happen to your leg?”
“It’s nothing honey don’t worry about it”
Jasmine was shocked and start thinking:”how can this be real I thought It was all a dream! but how?!”
“Can you tell me what happened exactly?”
“Why? is there something wrong?”
“No just tell me how did this happen please”
“We had a little chat with your brother and then he accidentally bro-…”
“Broke the vase and it went straight to your leg”
“But how did you know? your brother told you of course silly me”
“He didn’t…”                                                        “your father?”
“No”
“Ohh so your awake last night and saw everything?”
“If I saw everything, why would I ask you to tell me exactly what happened?!”
“Then how did you know!?”
“I saw it my dream”
“In your what?”
“MY DREAM! You deaf all the sudden?!”
“But how? I-“

“Yeah I know, hard to believe, I still don’t know if I’m still dreaming, to be honest”
“No, I assume you’re not. Johnyyyy! can you come for a second please honey!”
“Yes? Is everything alright?”
“I don’t think so…”
“what’s wrong? Jasmine, you’re good?”
“Jasmine is fine, she had a dream last night, and it was about what happened to us. You know when I hurt my leg?”
“Wait! what? yes of course I remember when you hurt your leg!”
“She dreamed that…What happened was is her dream!”
“Is this a prank or something cause I have a lot to do”
“Johny! It’s not”
“What you mean she dreamed what happened at the exact time when she was sleeping??! Maybe she was sleepwalking then she woke up and I don’t know she saw everything and thought it was a dream?!”
“WHAT?! First Jasmine does not sleepwalk, second, how did u even think about that?”
“I truly don’t know…so what do we do know?”
“I don’t know let’s just see a doctor or something just to ask someone about it and if this is normal or what”
“Doctor? What do you mean u think I’m crazy or something?”Said, Jasmine.
“Jasmine I didn’t say that…We just want to know that there’s nothing to be worried about”
“What if there is!”
“Jasmine stop! Go change your clothes let’s go now”
“Ugh fine whatever”
                      -----------------
                     In the next chapter:

She went to her room, sat on the bed and when she looked at the mirror all she can see is another Jasmine trying to communicate with her:
“Hey Jasmine, what’s the matter you look sad?”
“Excuse me? Who are you and what are you doing in my mirror ?!”
“It’s okay I won’t hurt you, I am you!”
“What do you mean you are me I AM ME?”

"Okay, now I want you to close your eyes and start imagining with me again, okay?
Jasmine closes her eyes and plunges back into her clouds

the father walks up to the mother and says to her: "what did you choose? Do you want to tell him the truth or not"
