No one even lives for that long.

Forever, you say when you confess your love.

Always, you promise, that you will love me.

But what is forever?

What is always?

Would you still love me when I get mad at you

and tell you to leave me?

Would you still love me if I ruined your favorite shirt?

Would you still say, "I love you" after I say, "I hate you"?

What is always?

Would you still love me when I stop wearing makeup?

Would you still love me if I look awful after having the flu?

Would you still love me when I get old and cranky and lose my mind?

What is forever?

Isn't there a point where,

yes, I care about you, but love?

Pssh! Not that far.

Isn't there a time when,

yes, I care about you, but love?

That has been lost a long time ago!

Eternity is a long time.
