So in Japan, they don't have letters. They have characters instead. Each vowel has its own character but the consonants are different. They require a vowel (except N) to have their own character. Like, instead of saying 'h' you say 'ha'. Get me?

And pretty much, you need to translate the word into japanese to write it's corresponding character. You ain't gonna find a character for 'beautiful', but if you insist, then search forever :)

As you can see the consonant M/N has no vowel.

There are a lot of types of japanese character sets, but be sure to memorize this first!
