Janus Q. III
"No, you didn't. I had to emerge here otherwise Alex would kill you. You can't wake up unless he allows it. You submit to him, you get to wake up. You deny and we go on repeating till you are brain dead."
"Why does Alex want to let me jump over there? It would be much easier for him just to unplug me. He definitely doesn't give a shit about other people's lives." Janus stood up and sat on Jim's lap.
"No, he doesn't yet he gives a shit about yours." Jim leaned his head to Janus neck sniffing her smell.
"You brought the virus along with you Jim, didn't you?" She whispered to his ear.
"It was the only way I could emerge." He tightened his arms behind her back leaning her body on his.
"So, Alex will keep me hibernating in limbo." She straightened her body as she was twisting her pelvis on his lap searching for the perfect fit.
"It's the only way to keep you alive." Jim was suffering nonetheless he was still struggling to maintain his focus on the conversation.
"What does he want?" Janus tightened her thighs around his.
"Alex believes in one more chance with you over there." He grabbed her and put her back on his lap. He opened his legs and let her slip in between.
"I didn't know that we were about to conquer Neverland." Janus moved her hands underneath his pants.
"You already are half way there my lady. You are hurting me and you enjoy it. I can sense you; wet, warm like a tropical storm pouring down on my skin. You are torturing me! You are viciously enjoying it. I can tell that from your breath." Jim was suffering.
" Do you want me to stop, my love?" Janus asked him.
"No! I can almost smell you. I can almost taste you." Jim could no longer stand still on that armchair.
"When "almost" became good enough for you?" Janus removed her hand from his pant and put her fingers on his face closing his eyes with her thumbs. "Evolution is wonderful thing. It gave as thumb's opposition and apposition." She slowly leaned her body once more on Jim. "All that was necessary, was a single finger becoming able to bend towards the rest. It defied the laws that the rest had to obey still and stood in front of the rest. The hand was finally able to make a fist and fight, to make tools and become better, to create humanity."
She slowly removed her thumbs from his eyes. Jim opened them slowly.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Janus made herself comfortable on his lap again. "You are humanity's next thumb. You are here and there at the same time. It's so tempting to let you smell me, to let you get a taste of me, empowering your lust." Jim was losing control breath by breath. That little vain wasn't able to keep his blood on her head any more. "You have access to me. Alex controls me. What are you going to do about that?" She was standing one kiss away from his lips.
"This is your call. I can kill him right now. All you have to do is just ask it." Jim replied trembling underneath her while Alex's figure appeared on a slow fade-in. "I can set you free right now. You can't access his bridge. I can." Jim told Janus and Alex put his hands on his throat as if someone was chocking him to death. Janus sensed Alex and looked at him.
"You can't choke him." Janus laid her head on Jim's shoulder while she was watching Alex gasping for air.
"I can't but I can make his brain believe that he's actually chocking." Jim answered back.
Blood started running down from Janus' ear down her neck.
"And now my love we all know how I got both my chips compromised, don't we? Alex tried to destroy it to save himself."
"Ask and you shall have. The time is now." Jim caressed Janus' hair.
"Let him breathe. I want my body more than you crave for it."
Alex fell on the floor gasping for air as he disappeared in a fade-out.
"So be it." Jim had complied with Janus' wish. "Your word will always become my undoing as Ι return to you."
What words could I say to her to chase her fear? Words meant nothing now. War was all that mattered. Between our people, it was all that was left. Indeed, it was no longer a means to an end, an elusive victory. War was a way of life. We lived to deliver death. She believed I would give it to her.
