Rose's comment on how Olive and Aimee—who had watched Janna intently since she had arrived—were her friends made Janna feel that Rose wasn't even going to trust Janna in the near future. The thought buzzed at Janna like a fly while she changed in the bathrooms of the dorm, she had changed in a stall because the changing rooms had a large mirror which made Janna feel rather uncomfortable.

The ferret was still in her robes pocket, the robes were folded on the toilet along with all her school attire, her pyjamas hanged loosely over her, the extra large shirt hung like a long sleeve dress while the pants hung over her toes which she pulled socks over immediately. Janna wished that she was able to change with her eyes closed, she had tried to look everywhere but at her skin when she changed; the technique wasn't the most efficient since she would always hit her elbow or knee on the stall wall, she would look to see the damage and—

The ferret suddenly chirped behind Janna, she jumped slightly, she clenched her chest and felt her pocket over her chest. Janna lifted the strange blue shirt and lifted her locket by the silver chains, she stared at the green emblem of a snake incased in the glass before breathing in deeply and looking up at the ferret who tittered at her curiously while his head titled to one side.

"It's the locket you stole" Janna reminded the ferret who clicked his tongue in retaliation at her, she narrowed her eyes at the ferret "you need to learn manners," Janna dropped the locket under her shirt and pulled her pink jumper over her head before yanking her head out the head hole "it's not nice to click your tongue at someone"

The ferret tittered like a dove laughing, Janna pulled her hair out before pulling the rest of jumper down. The ferret jumped onto her shoulder, his white flakes followed him as though he had disturbed ashes, his pink hands clasped to Janna's jumper as he sat like an obedient dog on her shoulder. When Janna looked at him be licked her cheek before lacing his tail around his legs, chortling mockingly while flakes followed the edge of the tail that fell on her shoulder.

"Those are strange manners you have" Janna muttered as she lifted her cloths in a pile and holding them to her chest with one hand before opening the door with her free hand. Janna swerved out the stall but as she did her little toe hit the pole which held one of the walls of the stall up. Janna yelped in pain before hopping on one foot, she hopped around on one foot before she accidentally got her ankle snagged on her pants bottoms. Suddenly she fell back, her arms floundered up while her cloths hovered over her like clouds before her back arched and—POP!

Janna felt a force on her shoulder, her eyes felt blinded by white light and her body felt like it had been elongated and shot through a tube. She slammed her hands over her eyes while a throbbing pain in her foot pulsed in her brain, she then gasped and sat up, she felt something land on her closed legs, she pulled her hands off her eyes which saw white at first but then she saw the ferret watching her while he sat on her knees which were nearly pressed to her chest.

Janna frowned and looked over her shoulder to see her cloths on the floor, fine white flakes drifted after her as though floating in their own wind, the ferret gently rubbed his head under her palm. Janna jumped at that feeling under her hand. "I nearly fell" Janna then saw the sink which was close to where she had fallen originally, Janna then turned to the ferret who still had flakes collecting at his tail "you saved me?"

The ferret chirped happily as though saying 'yes'. Janna looked at the ferret before placing him on her shoulder by his nape, she pulled her pink jumper down to her hips and lifted her cloths before leaving the bathrooms.

As Janna entered the unlit dorms she saw a glowing mass which was only a blanket ywhich had three girls sitting under it with a light source. Giggling was coming from this mass, Janna frowned and ignored the laughing as she then lifted the cover of the bed, it was red with golden embroideries. Around this bed were curtains which the ferret closed around Janna as she sat in the bed which had a soft mattress which nearly swallowed  Janna as she sank into it.

Moving around in the dark seemed to be easier than Janna had thought but as she turned on her elbow to move the top pillow the ferret set free glowing flakes which split upwards on the bed like bright embers. The ferret seemed to look like a small ball which lay at the foot of Janna's bed which was fading away into flakes, Janna leaned over her knees to get to the ferret, she gently cupped him under his chest in her hand.

The ferret watched her with an odd look before she laid him on the free pillow at her side "Ash" Janna purred as the ferret settled on the pillow like a dog walking in a circle before lying down "your name is Ash"
