The Werewolf's fight for flight

¤ ¤ ¤

Through the transfiguration corridor Leana Gasto hunted for Janna, aiming to prove that the younger student was practising dark magic. Leana swung McGonagall's  door open "McGonagall..." The Professor looked up at the student, stern "I'm looking for Black"

While Leana moved down the rows of desks McGonagall replied "whatever do you mean by Black? Are you looking for black paint or black yarn? I am so sorry to disappoint but neither of those things are here"

"Julianna Black," Leana's voice rose with agitation "I'm looking for her"

This comment had caused McGonagall's hand stopped moving the page she was turning, "Miss, Black does not have an extra lesson tonight at the moment, she had other arrangements—"

"McGonagall, she's practising dark magic! It's a full moon and Greyback is wandering nearby, I heard from the seventh years that is why Professor Potter left..." Leana's voice lowered "I know Black is going to summon Greyback, she's from the darkest wizarding family! She's a Death Eater—

"Miss Gasto! Death Eaters do not exist anymore..! Only people who cause havoc, I assure you Miss Black is only a young lady, nothing like her family's stigma!" McGonagall stood up, flustered from hearing Leana's descriptions of Janna "now, if I see you out of bed you are not going to become prefect, as you so desire, do not convict others of wrong to get that title"

Frustrated, Leana huffed, she turned on her heel then moved down the classroom "Alright Headmistress" the girl then slammed the wooden door, hard. A few second after the door slamming into its frame whole the hinges rattled McGonagall got up, she saw the moon already was glowing just below the clouds so there was not enough time to get to Janna to stop Leana from determining that there was a werewolf in the Shrieking Shack.

Just below the moon was the silhouette of the Shrieking Shack, the wooden house has a purple aura surrounding the wooden structure caused by the disturbed dust from within that seeped through the boarded windows.

The black werewolf was pacing at the top floor, her paws letting dust mist up the air, she could smell something but she could not identify the scent, she wandered if she should go to investigate it or leave it, each time she went to the stairs she would tell herself that there was nothing there but when she was at the other end of the room she changed her mind. Out of frustration Janna growled at a leg of a stool, soon lunging at it and biting the wooden seat, she growled as she teeth got stuck so she pulled the out then grabbed the stool with her paws to change the place she would bite the chair.

Shrii-shriiii-shri-shriiiiiiiiiik!

Wood clattered in the floor boards as the black werewolf dropped the stool, her small ears stood up and her nose twitched as her body stiffened at the sound of knives scratching a wooden board. She watched the landing for a few seconds, then a violent Crack! caused the wolf to jump up to stand up on all fours. There was a echoing of feet hitting the floorboards at the bottom of the house.

Janna came down the stairs, silently hopping on each step, catching Padfoot's attention from where he laid on the shiny green armchair, he followed the black wolf to the turn of the stairs—They both stopped below was a dusty figure, a big mass of hair stalked the wolf. Janna's heart dropped to her stomach... This was it, she was going to never come back to Hogwarts.

The mass stepped back baring teeth, as though to grin, the black werewolf's tail went between her back legs. Her eyes darted to the landing—her paws lifted off the wooden steps—her arms clung to the railing—she used her back legs to pull herself up— a sharp pain tore into the wolf's thigh.

The wolf winced as she fell back onto the steps before stumbling down to the mass' feet.

The wolf tried to get back up as quickly as she could, her nails scraping the floorboards—a foot stepped on Janna's tail, she shrieked, jumping into the air before bolting through the living room to hide under the dilapitated piano. When she looked to the stairs the mass had moved, Janna looked around urgently, her heart was beating in her ears and her lungs were being squished by the knot of her stomach. There was a silence, she didn't like the silence because she had no clue to where her assailant was, blood pumped in her stomach and chocked her with anticipation.

Violently, Janna was jerked from under the piano, she howled for help, she winced as she felt nails dig into her ankles. Soon she was rolled onto her back like a play toy, she squinted at then moonlight to see glowing blue eyes watching her.

Janna's  eyes adjusted as the mass pressed a paw onto her throat to keep her down, she winced as she saw the whole form of the big grey wolf towering over her, he was far more older, four times the size of the black pup.

I know who this is

Panic and dread caused her to have false bravery, Greyback growled at Janna as she tried to move, bringing his snout to her neck, then nosing the fur uncomfortably and breathing in, deeply. A deep growl came from Greyback, the smaller wolf's head was small enough to fit in his jaw, he grinned, showing yellow stained teeth that smelt like rotten flesh, his glowing eyes watching Janna's fear from behind her smaller amber eyes.

There was a different surge in Janna's stomach, she knew what he was wanting to take her with him, she felt she needed to fight to get free.

As the larger wolf lifted his paw to move the pressure from the black wolf's throat, Janna used her small size to twist and leap under the wolf who jumped up on his back paws hitting his head on the roof above as he tried to see where the shadow of the wolf went. Behind him the black wolf was on the stairs—she leapt to his nape with her teeth bared. There was a loud growl as Janna latched to the shoulder of Greyback who swung a paw over her head, she heard the wind of the paw, the force just missing her. She growled, clamping her jaw into his skin as she pulled away her head, swinging U're mass to tear skin.

There was a snarl as Janna was then swatted off Greyback's back, she scampered to the room with the trap door, she snarled at him, her hackles risen, her head bowed with her jaws of teeth bared, her silver  claws clicked on floorboards while the larger wolf took the same stance, his ugly, scarred face illuminated by the moonlight.

Janna leapt first, she aimed for the shoulder again—she was swatted out the airy he air again—landing in a dusty corner—crashing into old boxes. Greyback  skulked to the boxes, soon seeing a glimpse of a shadow run from the dust cloud—his jaws snapped at the air, followed by a roaring as small-needle like teeth bit his back knee. The large grey wolf shook his leg, lifting a large paw of claws to swat the black wolf—she fell off, getting hit by his back paw then being slammed into the near wall.

As the dust cleared the young wolf sat up, holding up a hurt paw, her one eye was bloodshot and her muzzle was dripping with thick blood from her chin. Greyback turned around, a tank aiming another missile, he aimed to attack the black wolf that  winced weakly, her eyes blinked lethargically and her head swayed. The grey wolf came to the black wolf and lifted her by her scruff with his teeth. The wolf pup hung weakly with her lanky arms and legs swaying under her.

The grey wolf limped past the stairs to the room with the piano where the loose plank once was where Janna tried to get out a few weeks ago, there were a few planks missing and there was not enough space for his shoulders to move so he put his head through and swung the wolf pup into the snow.

When she fell into the cold snow, her eyes fluttering open and then—shut.
