As the Gryffindors walked back to castle Orion, Jake, Juno and Janna walked behind James who was striding backwards to talk to the four of them, he was able to do so since he and cast a spell on his shoes to walk themselves to the castle. This group was far ahead of the older students; Rose was already in the castle, rushing off in a huff.

   "You should have seen Orion, he was smacking those Bludgers like a madman!" James told his story, using his broom to mimic the moves of swinging a bat " I thought  I was going to be a goner a good few times!"

    "I was nearly a goner" Janna chuckled "did any of you see when I nearly hit the Bludger!"

Jake laughed "Yeah! It must have changed direction in fear of freezing to death if it touched you!"

The five of them laughed, in the loud laughs Janna had nearly forgotten about her old life, even her furry little problem, as Teddy had called it when he was caught by McGonagall at the school.

   "Hey have you guys visited Hagrid yet?" James asked, revived from his laughs. Juno and Jake looked at James funny, who had his arms curling over his broom to balanced it on his nape.

   "Yes, I went with Albus, I enjoyed Hagrid's rock cakes" Janna commented, James' face puckered.

   "You ate the rock cakes?!" James asked "How!? Those things are like... er... ROCKS!"

    "I don't know, he offered some... I think that was why Albus frowned at me when I ate a slice"

Orion finally got a word in "I went to detention with him! Hagrid's the best person to get detention with, he mostly let me sit around and feed the creatures he has. And his tea is the best stuff on earth... Blueberry, I think I was, is a stotter."

   "I guess you both finish each other's sentences too, Mr Highlander" James joked, Orion grinned.

Orion put on a heavy Scottish accent "Aye, yeh Numpty Sassanack! Ders eh right jobby mauchit puss yeh go' der. Mither m'hight wype de mank off yeh napper bu' she m'hight hert yer ears, wingnut! Yeh luke lyke de tattie, a mither can only love your hackit nappeer!"

James looked at Orion with a expression of exasperation, possibly because he couldn't understand what the short, pale boy  had just yelled at him, and awe.

    "I think Orion called you an... Idiot, a potato and someone with big ears with a dirty face" Jake explain, his face was squinted in confusion as Orion grinned at James who tried to figure out what Orion had screamed at him.

   "Well done, mate! You're a little far off but you got the gist of it" Orion smirked, James seemed to be melting his brain over this strange string of words "alright, Potter, before your eyes go squint I'll tell you what I said" Orion the cleared his throat and spoke in a posh accent "I told you that you were an idiot Englishman, you have a ugly dirty face. Your mother must try better to wipe the dirt off your face but she must be aware of your ears, then I called you a person with big ears. To end my performance I told you that you looked like a potato with a face only a mother could love"

James held his cheeks "my freckles are from my mother, you git!" James lunged at Orion with his broomstick over his head ready to whack Orion. Orion neighed like an idiot as he ran faster than James, who was roaring at Orion at this point in the chase, the older boy stopped, he was out of breathe half way to the castle and the three others if the group.

Janna saw Orion reaching the stairs of the great oak doors, he turned and threw his arms up yelling WOOHOO!. Juno shook his head, hugging his books to his chest while Jake smirked.

For supper in the Great Hall Orion and James had a small food fight, gammon and broccoli was tossed back and forth, Janna ate the gammon as it landed on her plate since Orion was sitting next to her. James was across the table, he had Juno, Jake and two of his own friends who were also using their spoons to catapult the gammon at Orion.

Janna didn't mind having gammon come flying into her plate, even though she had to sometimes throw the broccoli back at James if he threw the greenery back at Orion but missed. Jake joined in halfway through the war, getting struck with gammon which also hit a girl next to him, he would snatch the gammon up and turn away before she could ask what was happening. Juno shook his head, Janna laughed as a broccoli landed in his hair which he began to eat while he finished his gravy.

But the end was nigh when Professor Longbottom came past, the group of Gryffindors froze in the game while the Profesor walked past, looking at the students with a confused face. The war heated up after he left, peas and mashed potatoes were shot around the area of the Gryffindor table. Professor Monia, the Astrology teacher, came past, this time the professor stopped  to ask why the students were caked in potato mash and specks of peas.

James looked up at her and grinned "It is the new look, professor, all the Muggles are doing it, as you can see the influence is running strong" James said, brushing his hand over his hair, he had a fear in his eyes as his fingers brushed a pile of mashed potato on his head.

When the Professor hurried away in a bit of a confused state the group burst out laughing, soon James excused himself, only for five steps did he manage to stay calm but as he reached his sixth the mashed potatoes ran down his nape, causing him to jump and scream in horror before bolting out the Great Hall, catching everyone's attention.

After supper the boys went back to their dorms to clean off in the bathrooms, Janna went to the girl's bathroom, as she passed her dorm she heard giggles, she turned to the door to see it open with Rose and her two friends coiling up as they noticed her.

    "What did you do to yourself?" Rose snickered, Janna knew what this was, she'd read about it in books Mr Winslow had bought from a Muggle book shop a threatening animal gives a warning before attacking. Also from the book, Janna knew at the back of her mind the wolves will tactically take down their pray, going from the weak or injured of the herd.

Janna folded her arms, leaning on the doorframe "James explained it was the new thing" Janna said boldly, not understanding the full connotations of the new thing.

   "Really? He must have been making fun of you because you look like a freak!" Rose snickered, revealing her weakness to Janna, she connected the dots, Rose knew Harry as an uncle... She must have know that his mother had been called freak by her own sister. This made Janna grin deviously, causing Rose to tilt her head in misunderstanding as she laughed with her girlfriends.
