In the cover of darkness Jake, Juno and Orion rounded the corner under the invisibility cloak. Jake pursed his lips as he focused on the Marauder's map to see if they were going to run into anyone, they were sneaking about at night since Janna hadn't come back from her lesson.

   'Another spell must have backfired because of her dark magic' Orion thought about their agreement on what had happened to Janna, looking over Juno's shoulders to see where they were going  from the back of the group.

As they went up stairs Juno's bag bounced on his back, causing the books and other materials to rattle. Ash held in a squeak uncomfortably as he was sloshed around between books, they decided not to use him because they would have been caught so he was now a stowaway. The two boys looked at Juno  "If you two didn't go up the stairs so quickly we'd have no problems"

   "Do you want to see Janna?" Jake questioned "she's alone up there, since they wouldn't allow us to see her, we're going to let her see us"

   "I do, I'm just nervous, what if we get caught?" Juno asked as they moved up the steps again.

Orion snorted "we aren' gaunnie get caugh', even if we are, we can just ask te see Janna"

  "We did that last time, Pomfrey just chased us away" Juno chirped, pursing his lips with nervousness as they rounded a corner

   "Pfft, this time we are letting ourselves in" Jake said, moving up the steps to the Hospital wing.

   "Wait!" Juno squawked, pulling Jake's shoulder and holding Orion back.

   "Wot noo Juno? Is there another problem?" Orion sighed as he crossed his arms.

    "Isn't there another way if getting in?"

   "There's a door for a reason Juno" Jake said, beginning to move again.

   "Hold on," He stopped the two boys again "the doors will be locked, Pomfrey might know we're coming"

Orion looked at Jake who then asked "Decent point but where else do we get in?"

Juno took the map, he opened one of the folds then saw the hospital wing from the outside "see? The windows aren't closed"

   "Aye, but ye an' wot wings?" Orion argued, he threw his arm to the two doors "the entrance is righ' there!"

   "Didn't you listen to me?!" Juno hooted, Jake pushed his palm over Juno's face.

   "We can climb the buttresses of the castle." Jake put a finger on the map by the astronomy tower to show Orion "See? Juno's got some idea of what to do, we just need to get outside" Jake let go of Juno's head, ruffling the curly hair of the smaller boy.

Juno swatted Jake's hands away "Where do we go then?"

The three of them looked to the map "I think we go to the astronomy tower, see? There's a buttress"

Orion snorted "Eh, ah butt-ress? Wot's tha'? Ya mither?"

Jake shook his head, beginning to move the group "You'll see what it is when we get there" he grinned, his eyebrows lifting "My mother is of Dog's Blood, she's a bitch. Pureblood is always on her mind when breeding. She's always prepping my sisters for marriages" Jake snorted "ironic, she and my father set laws for werewolves but they're the real dogs of earth."

   "Gads, ma'e" Orion patted Jake's shoulder "'ey lads, maybe durin' summer we should go somewhere with Janna, ya know?"

   "Yeah, but we're twelve" Juno said.

Orion ran his hand through his hair to fix it from the cloak "I'm thirteen this year"

  "Likewise" Jake shrugged then added "next July, though. How old is Janna?" Jake asked, "Was her birthday not in November?"

   "So she's thirty eight?" Juno asked, the two boys frowned at him "That's when she told us she was supposed to be born, but since she was born in—"

   "Janna's thirteen, ye ninny" Orion laughed, he looked back over his shoulder "we should've done somethin' for her birthday"

Ahead of the two boys Jake looked around a corner "we can do something now"

   "Yes, maybe..." Juno paused, they did not have much on them right now.

   "Maybe take her up the castle," Jake shrugged, they neared the stairs "she likes looking at things"

As they stopped at the top of tower next to the Hospital wing, Jake saw nobody on the map nearby them so he pulled the cloak off from their heads, Juno's hair was toppled forwards while Orion's fell onto his face, he brushed it back fighting the static keeping it up "Jobby, Jake! Ma hair!"

   "Sorry" Jake then ruffled Orion's hair again, he cackled as Orion attempted to chase him down the corridor.

   "Oi, you two" Juno said as he stood by one of the wedges of the tower's wall "what now?"

Jake and Orion skidded to a halt, trotting up to Juno to look down the tower's wall "I can not  help but let your hair down, rapunzel" Jake joked as he looked at Orion.

   "Ya wanna go first?" He pulled up his sleeves "Ey can help ya with tha'"

Juno stood between them "come on, we'll use the roof there to go down to the buttress-thing, unless you want to fall to your death" he walked up to the shingle of the roof.

While Orion went after Juno, Jake leaned over the wall "doesn't seem like a bad fall"

   "C'mon Jake" Juno said as Orion climbed onto the shingles, balancing on the edge of the water drain, Juno gulped as he looked down.

   "'fraid of heights?" Jake asked from behind Juno, his hands in his robes "the castles been through a war," he leaned to a side see Juno's face "I'm sure it'll stand after you climb on it"

   "I'm not necessarily afraid of heights, I don't want to fall" Juno admitted, seeing Orion on the drain above the Hospital wing windows.

Jake patted Juno's shoulder "c'mon, you can fall off this castle, you'll use some sort of spell to stop yourself from falling"

Juno's face formed a smile, he looked at Jake with his blue eyes lighting up in the waning gibbous moonlight "fine, but I'll haunt you both if you're wrong"

   "I am never wrong" Jake tapped his temple "I've  something called an intelligence," he grunted with  laughter, pulling himself onto the wide stone drain "don't know what to do with it, most of the time"

   "I think Orion has influenced your thinking then"

    "What makes you think that?"

   "You use 'have' the incorrect way"

   "Pffft," Jake shrugged as he began walking "I'm not English, just a little fun to speak strangely, I do not know what Orion says half the time. I searched up Scottish slang and the pronunciations are also different from Russian, a little does make sense, though"

With hesitation Juno got onto the drain, he saw the edge of the castle, looking down he saw mist, as he did this he felt his trainers sliding on the snow "Er... Jake?"

   "Juno, do not worry, just talk, get your mind off the fall"

   "If you say it like that I might actually fall"

   "Just ask me something, quickly"

As his feet moved under him Juno felt a flip in his stomach "I...er—what l-languages can you speak?"

   "Not too many, actually, I can speak..." Jake stopped to think, his head tilting up to think as his eyes closed "that's a tough one" he sucked in air through his teeth "there's French, Russian, of course, Polish, Romanian, Latin, German, er... English, Finnish, Iceland, Norse, then I can read Norse, Celtic and Germanic runes, I'm currently trying to learn Greek, so that adds up to more than fourteen ways of talking"

   "Geez," Juno whispered under his breathe "I only know some French, other than that I only know English"

   "Huh" Jake breathed in stepping again "you should take Ancient Runes with me in third year then"

   "Yeah, that'll be a good idea"

Jake stopped "And well done to walking around twenty feet on a roof"

   "Oh... look at that" Juno looked down, feeling lightheaded at the sight of the buttress a foot under him "I think when we get down there I'll  faint" Juno pointed to where the buttress ended at the windows by a ledge that ran under the base of the buttresses.

Already Orion sat at the top of the slope of the buttress, patting the smooth stone "Aye, there's a wee steep bit" Juno and Jake followed "Woo wants te go first?"

On the slope Juno went, he slid slowly down the soft slope, he even had to push himself forwards—he reached the steep slope, he began squawking as he slid—but as quickly as it began he had touched the ledge under the buttress only moments after being on the slide.

There was a light at the one window, possibly hearing Juno's yelp.

   "Ace, ma'e" Orion called as he looked down to see a window open.

There was a new voice "Erdem? What are you doing?"
