Mind me, Brother

Thankfully that evening Orion's father passed out on the couch, Orion's mother let Janna and Orion go walk outside after dawn but he had to take a fog torch with them. Janna had written a letter to Professor Potter asking to come back to Hogwarts the next day with Orion, she of course did not mention what Orion had shown her. Orion wrapped Janna in a thick leather coat of his that he used when he was herding sheep and thick soled boots that gripped to the ice.
"The Port Argil harbour is beautiful during a full moon, the water looks like silver" Orion explained as he lead her through a slope of large boulders, Janna's hand tightened around his as she thought of being here on a full moon.
"What are we looking for now?" Janna asked as Orion lead her over a shore of rocks.
"We're goin' swimmin'" Orion grinned as he flashed the torch over the water that looked like dark ink in the light, there were patches of snow and ice floating on the water.
"In this water!? Orion, you barmy idiot, this water must be below freezing" Janna yelped as they came to a gully that was possibly connected to the stream at Orion's home, a large hill came through the thick fret which floated lowly to the ocean.
"Not this water, I'm not that much of a dunderhead" Orion laughed at Janna, continuing to the gully "there's a cave in the ben ahead, there's sea water that is always warm in there" Orion mused as he took Janna's hand to lead her down the large rocks that made perfect steps to the bottom "So, how's Potter?"
Janna's eyebrows furrowed "Albus Potter?"
"Aye, the Slytherin" Orion chortled as they reached the next set of smaller rocks, he helped Janna down to him rock where she narrowed her eyes at him as he flashed the torch past her face.
"Is there a problem with me being his friend?" Janna interrogated Orion who realised his mistake as he leaned off the rock they stood on, aiming the torch to see where to go next.
"A wee bit, Janna... He's dangerous, why else would he be in Slytherin as a Potter?" Orion questioned as he turned to Janna, she stared at him with her arms crossed "He might be tryin' to pull you into the dark side"
Janna shook her head "Albus isn't dangerous, he's not dark either," Orion pursed his lips as he saw her eyes stare up at the sky "if he ever does anything to me you can call me out on it, alright?"
Orion brayed merrily as he jumped off the rock he and Janna had shared "Ye cannae say I didn' warn ya, Janna" he reached for Janna's hand as she sat on the rock and slid off it, he took her arms and took her under her knees "Yer gaunnie give me a hunners kisses for my deed" Orion purred, leaning Janna's face.
"I'm not kissing you Orion" Janna blushed as she attempted to get back to the ground by swinging her legs off his arm "it will be strange"
Orion's eyebrows furrowed as he said "Strange?"
Janna pursed her lips in response "Like kissing a brother or something"
Orion let Janna down, gently letting her slip from his arm as he flashed the torch to the frozen river at the base of the rock "ye ken Back to The Future?" Janna narrowed her eyes at Orion as he looked at her "Ye ne'er seen it?"
"Is this muggle?" Janna questioned, Orion chuckled and nodded to confirm her question, she breathed in deeply "I won't know it"
Orion pursed his lips "Well, the main character of this film has to go to the past and he ends up having his mither try and kiss 'im... She does kiss him and then she tells him that she felt like she was kissing her brother"
"Does he use a time-turner to go back in time?" Janna asked as Orion knelt to the edge of the rock, he looked over his shoulder at her.
"Naw, Muggles don't have time-turners," Orion grinned at Janna "the character had a Delorean to go back in time"
"What is a Delorean?" Janna asked as Orion sat on the rock and put his feet on the ice. Orion bounced his knees to see if the ice would crack "A car" Orion stood up on the ice which made rippling cracking noises "Noo, hop on the ice, we need te get across"
Janna blinked "W-won't it break?" Orion's face dropped and he let his lips form a line before he began to bend his knees causing the ice to groan like a thick wire being wobbled "Mind Janna," Orion pointed to the snow bordering the rocks around the frozen waterway "it's winter, we're too far from the fjord at the mouth of this river"
Shakily Janna sat on the rock before letting the boots touch the ice, strangely her feet didn't slip on the ice "'urry up, we'll be in spring if ye take longer"
"Shoosh!" Janna shushed Orion as she bent her knees when she stood up her arms were stretched out for balance but she didn't feel any different from when she was on land "Yu're so melodramatic Miss Black" Orion called from the middle of the river as Janna walked after him hearing the cracks under her.
"Do you always come down here?" Janna spoke as she looked down to her feet were transparent ice showed the bottomless riven in the gully. Orion shook his head as he stood waiting for Janna near to the border of the river "I...er would come 'ere to wet the lips with the usquebaugh brough' for Edinburgh and Galway. Smooth, I tell you. Like the water from the Ben Lomond carrie' by River forth, yu're actually standin' on the one stream from the river itself"
Janna looked down at her feet and lifted her one shoe to observe the clear ice "How do you know so much?" Janna asked knowing nothing much outside of Leve Don let alone the whole country herself. Her question was answered when Orion pulled her onto shore with his one foot on a frosted stone. Janna jumped up to his side and he hugged her so she wouldn't slip on the frozen ground that was mottled with smooth pebbles.
"Bein' on the sea, but only as a wee bairn" Orion laughed as he bent down, torch in hand, and hung it over the ground below his knee, precariously holding Janna's hip for support. He quickly stretched up and pulled Janna with him towards a "Noo, imagine little me in a wonky boat that is floating aimlessly around the North Sea for..." Orion began to count his fingers on the light, lifting three and muttering inaudibly "hunners months in spring" Janna felt a gust of wind whoo from the mouth of the cave, she shivered, leaning into Orion's side for warmth, he rubbed her shoulders to warm her "Ma'e yu're not doing too well in this dank weather"
