Chapter 5: Talk
After getting hugged from Bendy and what-not, Janis entered her room before placing the necklace aside.
Janis couldn't help but wonder what secrets her kwami was hiding. For example, who was Zella?
However, Janis's biggest concern at this moment was Nino. If Nino knew Janis's secret, then this was bad.
Extremely awful if you thought about it.
So, when the pair ate dinner at their designated time, Bendy noticed how Janis was barely touching her food.
"Jana?"
Bendy's voice made Janis jumped for she was so zoned out. Janis didn't pay attention to the person in front of her because of that.
"Huh?" came out from Janis as she glanced up at her roommate, Angel Bendy.
"Are you feeling alright?" Bendy concernedly asked leaning towards Janis as she moved to the opposite side of Bendy.
"I'm fine," answered Janis plainly as Bendy attempted to touch her head again. Janis proceeded to move once more.
This routine happened for five minutes until Bendy managed to touch Janis's forehead.
"You feel fine."
"Bendy," Janis mumbled as she crossed her arms. "Come on, what's--" Bendy was cut off by Janis. "I am fine!" Janis cried out as her voice echoed across the restaurant.
This caused everyone to stare at their table.
Bendy pulled away in a rather hurt matter as Janis winced at her mistake. "Bendy... I... That..." Janis helplessly trailed off for she knew her reaction was wrong.
"I'm sorry. I'll go," Janis said as she peacefully left the restaurant.
"Wait! Jana!" Bendy exclaimed in a not-so-loud matter as he started fidgeting with his wallet.
Bendy had planned on paying since Janis was in a sour mood. Now, all he needed to find their waitress... Who was busy serving other people.
"Oh boy," Bendy mumbled as he sunk into his chair. This was going to take awhile.
Meanwhile, Janis was in the park as she curled up into a ball form and started to cry. She felt awful for hurting Bendy. It was unlike her in fact.
This negative energy attracted the attention of some no-good villains...
£££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
"Tonight, we strike! Go my little akuma and evillize her heart!" Hawkmoth cried victoriously as Bill stared at Janis through a crystal ball... Only without her necklace.
"Wait, where is her necklace?" Bill asked as Hawkmoth blinked. His moment was done.
"The necklace? Well, it's obviously not on her," Hawkmoth deadpanned pointing it out. "I know that!" Bill exclaimed harshly.
"Question is... Why would she take it off?" Bill asked to himself as he pondered.
"Bunny girl, you amaze me," Bill mumbled staring at Janis in her broken state.
"So... Are you done talking to yourself?" Hawkmoth asked as Bill darkly stared at him. Moments later, Hawkmoth found himself in a chase to stay alive.
"I'm sorry!"
"When I get to you, you're so dead!"
"Figuratively or literally?"
"That depends, Moth. If I catch you before my patient runs out, I might spare you," Bill stated as Hawkmoth swallowed hard.
"That's comforting," Hawkmoth said as he stopped and ran once more.
Two grown men catching each other in a battle of wits and glory.
Real pathetic.

"Jana!"
Glancing up, Janis found Nino as he was approaching the park.
"Nino?"
"Yeah, it's me," Nino sheepishly said as he frowned upon seeing Janis's tear-stained face.
"What happened?" Nino asked as he rushed towards Janis's side. "Me? Oh um... Well..." Janis trailed off as she couldn't bring herself to tell Nino what went wrong.
Nino then realized that he needed to cheer Janis up before the akuma came to her. If he failed, Janis would get akumatized.
As far as Nino was concerned with, he would be devastated if Janis became akumatized.
"Was it Chloé?" Nino asked. "The banana girl with a banana peel for hair?" Nino added on as Janis weakly chuckled. "No, not her," Janis said as Nino got Janis to laugh.
It was a weak attempt but still.
It had count for something.
Baby steps was all it took.
Baby steps for a brighter future.
"Are you sure?" Nino asked as he pondered for something witty to say.
"We could bring Stormy Weather back and ice her," Nino added as Janis imagined as a frozen-like popsicle Chloé.
Seeing Chloé frozen brought Janis another laugh. "Only if we get to throw her in the freezer," Janis implied as Nino chuckled.
"Sure. We will also draw bushy eyebrows and a mustache when she gets defrosted," Nino added on as Janis laughed. This time it was a stronger attempt.
"Are you serious? Chloé will be upset for days," Janis said as Nino shrugged.
"Considering the way she acts, it'll be a small price to pay for the sounds of laughter shrilling through the halls," Nino honestly stated as Janis stared at Nino in awe.
"Whoa... That was inspiring," Janis complimented as Nino bowed in a feeble attempt. "I try, Jana. Being this clever does take guts after all," Nino said as Janis laughed.
"Okay, okay, wise guy. You win," Janis said as Nino fist-bumped the sky. "Yes!" Nino exclaimed as Janis laughed once more.
This time it had last longer and left Janis rather defenseless. When Janis had finished laughing, Nino smirked.
"So, how are you feeling?"
This was the main question.
Hopefully, Nino's efforts weren't in vain.
"Better," Janis answered truthfully as she smiled. "A lot better actually," Janis added as the negative feelings faded away. This made Nino scream for joy.
Laughing, the two then starting to enjoy the company of theirselves.
When the akuma appeared, the akuma tried to get to Janis but it deflected her.
Due to the fact that Janis was so happy and full of positive energy, the akuma was left to its cowarding state. If the akuma could feel emotions, the akuma itself would be annoyed.
No matter.
Someone or something will eventually break.
Standing up, Janis had hugged Nino who was not prepared for the impact.
"Thank you for making me feel better," Janis said as Nino smiled and embraced the hug.
"Anytime, dudenette," Nino said warmly as the two pulled away. Then, Janis realized that she left Bendy in the restaurant alone.
"I should go. I'll see you later, Nino!" Janis said saluting Nino and dashed off. Chuckling to himself, Nino waved in Janis's direction till she was out of sight.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Janis had entered the restaurant where she found Bendy barely paying.
"Bendy?" Janis voice softly echoed as Bendy's head jerked towards Janis's direction.
There he was in the most awkward position known to man. "Jana! You came back," Bendy said as he was still trying to figure out how much to tip their waitress.
"If you could hurry up, now would be a good time," the waitress impatiently said as Janis digged in her pockets and found a five in euros.
"Here," Janis said as she surrendered her five and left. Bendy then smirked before leaving the waitress stunned. Opening the door, Bendy then gave Janis her much-deserved hug.
"Jana!"
"Angelwings!"
The two pulled away laughing at their own reactions.
"Look, I'm sorry for the way I reacted. It was rather dumb and I apologize for hurting your feelings," Janis sincerely said as Bendy sighed.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have pushed you to your limits. I should've stopped the first time," Bendy said as Janis held her hand.
"Troupes?"
Grinning, Bendy firmly shook Janis's hand.
"Troupes."
After shaking hands, Bendy noticed how Janis didn't have her necklace on.
"What happened to your necklace?" Bendy asked as Janis glanced down and saw that the necklace wasn't on her.
"Oh, I left it at home," Janis answered as she left it on her counter.
"I figured I needed a break of being..." Janis trailed off suspiciously eyeing the crowd and her surroundings.
"You-Know-Who," Janis whispered as Bendy shot Janis a wink. "Totally understandable," Bendy said as Janis chuckled.
"First one to get home has to pay for tomorrow's breakfast!" Janis said as she gave herself a head start by walking fast.
"Hey! No fair! I paid for dinner! Ooh.." Bendy trailed off as he began to jog his way towards Janis's direction.
"I will win!"
"In your dreams!"
By the time Janis reached their apartment, Bendy was already in the living room sipping tea.
When he placed the cup down, Bendy smirked at his losing opponent.
"So, where exactly should we eat? The Dupin-Chang's?" Bendy boldly asked taking another sip out of his delicious tea.
Rolling her eyes, Janis closed the door.
"Good job," Janis said before chuckling. "Um, the Dupin-Chang's bakery sounds good," Janis added as Bendy grinned.
"Then, I shall get the most expensive thing from their place," Bendy taunted as he smirked at Janis.
"If that's the case, then I shall do the same for tomorrow's dinner," Janis coolly answered to which Bendy's smirk faded.
"Can't we compromise?"
"Nope!"
"Aw, come on Jana!" Bendy whined playfully as Janis smirked and confidently began to walk away from the living room and into her room.
Turning on the light, Janis noticed a shadow standing in her room.
Blinking, Janis searched for her necklace and saw that it was out of sight.
Then, when Janis looked up, she saw her necklace being held by a humanized magician.
"Greetings, Janis."
