The Voltori - Renesmee
When we got home, I sat in the back car slumped over. Everyone else leaves mom and dad to me, and foes inside.
"I don't understand. How could this happen? Tell it to me again," I beg, running the same thoughts over and over in my head until it creates a sort of tornado effect. Mom sits down in the car next to me and pinches the bridge of his nose with his fingers.
"They went for a walk in the woods, together to talk. I guess a hunter didn't realize they were humans and shot them by accident." I clutch the blue dress that Alice had so perfectly chosen for me. I didn't realize when she hugged me this morning that that would be the last time she would ever. "I know it's hard right now, trust me it's hard for everyone. We just wanted you to know that all of us are going through the exact same thing."
"Can I leave?" I blurt. Mom and dad glance at one another. Dad nods yes first and then mom does the same thing. "Okay, thanks." I climb out of the car breathing in the cool, frosty air. It burns my lungs, and my eyes ache to cry. But I won't cry in front of my family. I won't let them see how hurt I am because they need help to, thir hurt too. They knew Alice and Seth longer than I did. My feet carry themselves into the forest. They pick up pace, my heart pounding to the same rhythm. I speed up and close my eyes. And for the moment Alice and Seth are still alive. Jacob isn't a werewolf. Leah isn't a mean, cranky teacher. And Alex is holding my hand running along with me. Our two streams flowing into one. Nothing else matters. Nothing else. But when I trip on a root, Alice and Seth are dead, Jacob turned into a werewolf, Leah is still the cruel teacher, Alex is at school and voices flood my head. I groan, lifting myself off the forest floor.I crack my neck, letting it fall to my shoulder and roll to my other.
"We must be quick!" Hisses a familiar voice. Then I hear footsteps coming closer to me. I roll into the brushes of the forest instead of laying on the path.
"Are you sure that that little half mortal is still with her parents and not wandering around the woods?" Crows vaguely familiar voice.
"I'm sure. Edward and Bella are having a conversation with their daughter about the deaths. I'm surprised they haven't figured it out yet." Two figures with black cloaks ( red lining on the inside) walk quickly through the trails. "Now hurry up and put the skull in the child's bed." Wait a minute. I know this voice. What is Jane doing? And who is that man? What are they talking about? The man in the black coat sneers.
"Be back in a moment darling." He winks and hustles into the house. In a split second he's out again. "Told you I'd be quick. Now what to do with Alice? Should we make her work for us? And what is with all of her questions on that Seth Clearriver 'kid? You know how much I hate unanswered questions."
"Of course master. And It's Seth Clearwater she was talking about, he went missing the same day we took Alice. They found the body of our fake Alice and a body that looked like Seth's. Personally I think Alice could do quite good in training the new, young vampires," spoke Jane. She took Alice! How does she know who Seth is? Where did she take Alice?" I listen harder.
¨I agree with the young vampires for Alice. A perfect fit. You didn't take Seth as well did you?" Vampires!
"No!"
"Good, we can not be sloppy. This is a must have. I trusted you, don't let me down." Jane nods, removing her cloak and handing it to the man with ghostly white skin and dark brown collarbone length spindly hair.
"I won't let you down, Aro." Aro? What kind of name is that?
"Farewell from the Volturi." Volturi?
