Bliss Corporation

The world is filled with couple. Couples who either are forced to be loved, couples who have a toxic relationship, a forbidden love, or either couples who just simply love each other unconditionally.

Although, no one knows for sure how this happens. At first, they were strangers, or completely someone they don't feel for nor dislike so much. But yet, how do they end up like that way?

Not even Science could answer such things like these. All the humans were clueless... That every love starts from the Bliss Corporation.

Bliss Corporation is a heavenly association, where cupids of all sorts work. The business was located at the ninth cloud of heaven, where peace, bliss, and love exists.

Sure, the myth of Cupid or Eros exists. But no one knew he's the very boss of every cupids or matchmakers. This is where our story begins...

Jaiden. Known as Jaiden the Agapius in the Bliss Corporation. The reason for this, is she's been working there for a long time, and had matched lots of couples already, that overtime... She's been promoted from Amator to Agapius within ten years. (Check the position names at Bliss Corp above)

The others, like James. He's been here for a long time like Jaiden. He and Jaiden have been working here for twenty three years, although, he's a rank lower than him.

Let's say he's recognized as James the Kalila. Nobody has gotten past this rank for years. It was almost impossible! Only Jaiden had miraculously passed. But that changes today... As Eros the Cupid, their boss, had noticed James' effort and how much successful couples he have paired for the past years.

"Jaiden!! I'm going to be an Agapius like you!!" He cried happily, as the two jumped happily like little children "Ah!! I'm so happy for you James!!" She replies, as she hugged him very tightly, to show him how proud she was.

She knew that he's been dreaming to get a higher rank than his own, but his wish hadn't been granted for so long, ever since the past nine years.

But he was happy that he got a promotion. He had been wanting to get out of the building. He admits he was kind of jealous that Jaiden gets to match-make out of the building, and could get a closer look at the people.

Unlike him before... He could only look at the people by screen, and shoot love arrows made by mostly the Amators with their arrow cannons, that he only needs to shoot at the couples that seem perfect to him.

But now. He could be free! And he could finally ditch the screen and make people fall in love personally, and what's good... He could be up-close! Luckily, it was no hassle, since no one could see them.

All cupids except Eros himself, and his wife Anangee could be seen. Although, ranks from Agapius down to Caerwyn, their couples could have a tendecy to break. Unlike Eros, their boss, and his wife Anangee.

When they make a couple, there is no such thing  as 'break-ups' as their magic is very strong and powerful. So being paired by Eros himself, and Anangee herself, was quite an opportunity.

Out of four million couples Jaiden had created, only ten had failed. Which was amazing. This is the reason why she had immediately reached Agapius very fast.

"I can finally match with my best friend!!" James says, as they had released each other from the hug. Then, the two laughed "Well, better get ready James! You're gonna be a rank higher now" she winks, as they went separate ways to prepare for the up coming occassion.

"Today. It is a very special day. James the Kalila, is now promoted to Agapius. As he had done lots of couples, and had served well and truthfully" Eros said in a loud and clear voice.

He then coughed "And with no further I do..." he trailed off, as his wife gave her husband a badge that encarves as 'Agapius' and gave him a bracelet. A sky blue heart on the middle, and has buttons.

One for teleporting to a location, one for shooting love arrows, and one for calling. James was very dazzled with it. He couldn't believe it...

Him? An Agapius?! With his best friend?! Could this get any better?! "Congratulations... Agapius.James. As you are now a rank higher!" As every cupid had clapped happily for him.

It was honestly rare for anyone to achieve the Agapius level, and usually... Cupids get stuck at the Kalila level. But now, atleast Jaiden's not alone in exploring the world.

After that occassion, everyone went back to work immediately. They don't have another minute to waste. There's people needed to be paired.

"Come James, I'll tour you around!" Jaiden said enthusiastically, as she took James' hand, and had dragged him down the heaven, and towards to Earth.

As the last level of heaven, Cloud 1, had opened its gate to the Earth and the normal clouds, it took James by surprise.

The temperature was a little hotter than the heavens above. The sun he used to see before, was now just a bright marble in the sky.

Clouds he see were very plentiful, as it could be seen fron any angle. As they slowly approach ground, they were greeted by a beautiful ocean. Where the beautiful rays of the sun bounce back to the sky, making the ocean bathe in its glorious and heavenly rays.

James had never seen anything like this up close before... It's like... A brand new world. A world where he used to see by just his screen. But now... He's here. Near to it.

Waves crashes to the blue seeming surface of the ocean, making a pleasant sound. As they appoach to land, smaller waves dances a never ending back-and-forth dance to the shore.

As seagulls hum a delightful and peaceful tone that blends perfectly well to the scene. Palm trees rustle along the cooling breeze. The scent of fresh flowers that just had newly bloomed for March's spring, after the winter and summer.

It is finally that time where the weather is perfect... And James was glad that he was here to witness the first flowers of March.

After passing by the beach, the roaring fields waved hello to them, as the wheats bent down as they pass by them. "Jaiden! This is so beautiful!" James exclaimed, very full of excitement.

"This is such a sight..." he trailed off, awing at the things that they just had passed by. Jaiden giggled at his childish actions "Sure they're wonderful. Bu~t there's something even better"

James raised his brow in curiosity "Oh?" Then the brunette nods. "Well then... Amuse me Jaiden the Agapius Cupid" he says, as he bends down to bow. Jaiden then giggles at his formality "Oh I shall, sire James the Agapius Cupid" as she took James by his hand again.

"You might wanna hang on tight" she winks, as James obeyed, then... Out of nowhere... She dashed in a speed of light.

As the particles and atoms of the so called 'oxygen and nitrogen' hit James' face all at once, he couldn't keep up with opening his eyes, as things came rushing to his delicate eyes.

Surprisingly, this was no hassle for Jaiden. She just still flew with a tunnel vision. "AAAA JAIDEEEEEEEN" he yelled. Before he could yell another thing, they had stopped all of a sudden.

As soon as Jaiden stopped flying, due to 'physics'. Jaiden had let of James and threw him away from where she is. Luckily, he didn't get to crash into a tree. But even if he did, no one would notice him but Jaiden. Since they're invisible to everyone else.

"What is this place?" He asks admiring the spot, then found a structure that seems to be made out of metal that is in triangular form. It stood there proudly, and seeming to be attracting lots of people here.

Looking from it... People who visit there were locals and tourists. "James. Welcome to Paris. The City of Love" Jaiden says, introducing him the city in a very cheerful way.

Then, his face lit up "I've heard and seen about this! I've paired five couples here before! Only one broke up after their marriage" then Jaiden tried cheering him up by playfully hitting him on his shoulder.

"Hey. We make mistakes. Even I do! So don't let that one couple make you sad, let's just keep doing what we love" as Jaiden flashes her usual sweet and bright smile.

James looked away from her and blushed "Okay..." he muttered "Let's make couples!" He said in an eager and determined way.

"As what millenials say nowadays~ Let's ship them!" Then the pair shared a laugh, then flew around Paris to legally spy on people.

Hey. Cupids are allowed to do this, and if you ever do call a police on them, you'll probably be single forever, or even... Admire no one. Which is quite a sad and lonely world. No one in this world has 'no crush' in their life ever. You gotta admit that. Fictional or real crushes.

While Jaiden and James sat on a tree branch that's meters away from the Eiffel Tower itself. As they enjoy the shade that the tree provided for them. Jaiden had spotted a couple. Two girls, looking at each other. They seem to be friends...

Although, the way they both looked each other. There was a spark. Jaiden immediately shot the two an arrow. And before you know it... Their love story starts. "Huh?" James hummed, confused at how she paired up two people with same sexes.

Jaiden shrugged "Love's unconditional, and there's nothing you can do about it" she says with a smile. James smile at this brave answer of her. He never actually thought of taking this daring pairing...

"You're quite a brave lady yourself Ms.Jaiden" James teased in a formal way. Jaiden rolls her eyes playfully and laughs "I just figured for the past five years. It may be risky. But if you love someone, you better take the risk just to get to them, y'know?"

The blonde agrees, as he searches for more couples. Then, had found little children. He had seen them by his screen before. Their names were Tim and Emirichu. They were childhood friends and had knew each other well.

"Maybe... Sparking an interest with each other at this time isn't that bad" he thought to himself, as he aimed at the teo children. This marks the two's love story. And the first line of it states We first met when we were children...

Hours passes by, and it was night already. Seven pm in the night. The street lights start to illuminate the city streets. Even the Eiffel Tower illuminated the park.

Restaurant began to cast a glow, as if they were lanterns that hosts humans, to feed them.

"One last couple, and I'm finished for the day" Jaiden says. James laughs at her determination "Sure thing" he says, as he waits patiently by sitting on the edge of the building. Y'know, a small little wall that surrounds that top building? Yeah, that.

As the male sways his feet back and forth, he had spot one couple. He recognizes this... It was one of Eros' pairing. "Boy, were they lucky" he thought to himself.

As he watches him the couple snuggle at each other by the bench, bathed in the dim light of the street light. They were there, loving each other unconditionally.

James had wondered to himself... How would it feel if someone loves him? And how it would feel if he loves someone? What could the feeling be?

He heard that every love story could go through serious consequences. Couples could get into a fight... A horrifying event that could leave a scar... Or any kind of problem.

Is he willing to take this risk? Just to feel a one of a kind feeling? He glances at the girl beside her, who's smiling ever happily. He felt his heart beat fast all of a sudden.

James clutched his cupid heart to feel it. It was there alright. Beating fast. Has he been feeling this way ever since he met her? Was it? He never knew. It was just because that whenever he's with her... He felt...

Home.

But what kind of home feeling is this? A friendly way? Or... Love.

But you can't possibly fall for her, James. You're both cupids. Your job is to make people fall in love. NOT YOU falling in love. Besides. Who would shoot you an arrow with her?

James gulped, as he sweated crazily. He looked at Jaiden again, which Jaiden took note of and saw him look at her. She flashes a smile once more and looks back again.

This time... His heart beat was calming. Involuntarily...  A smile crept on his mouth.

As Jaiden looked to her left to look for more people, she found James smiling at her. It was... Different. There was this sweet feeling behind it. It was true, passionate, filled with adoration...

It was all to different... She never felt like this way before.

But you can't possibly fall for him, Jaiden. You're both cupids. Your job is to make people fall in love. NOT YOU falling in love. Besides. Who would shoot you an arrow? Him? Pfft. Don't make me laugh? Other cupids? Please. I'm crying here of laughter.

Voices battled in their head. As the two unconciously looked at each other endlessly. The two couldn't decide... Choose to reside to the lawful way... Which to keep on shipping, but never find themselves their happiness... Or their partner.

Or break the rules and take the risk to find themselves their one true love...

And take the risk...

James just had a flashback about what Jaiden has said earlier. "Love's unconditional, and there's nothing you can about it."

"I just firgured for the past five years."

"It may be risky."

"But if you love someone,"

"you better take the risk just to get to them..."

When James had rebooted to reality. He had made his mind. He decided to follow his heart. Somehow... He loves this girl. Within just a night... He had called this true love.

Maybe their story had began years back then. But maybe they were too blind to notice it. But to him, it was okay. Now thanks to the wise words that Jaiden had said...

And that couple who made him realize the home feeling when she's with Jaiden... He could finally live happily.

He slowly inches to the frozen Jaiden. Then later...

"Stop."

James froze, to see what he considered 'his love one'. Pushed him away with eyes closed shut. "W-wha--?" Was all James could speak out.

"D-don't. We're not allowed to do this. Right? Were cupids. We don't do this." She muttered. As she scooched away from him.

The smile she used to have on her lips, had no faded into a frown. James' heart ached immediately upon seeing her like this.

He attempted to place his hand on her. Only to be put away by Jaiden herself. James then fell his eyes on the street. Fumbling with his fingers.

"James. I know you want me..." Jaiden said, answering his unspoken question "But we can't. Cupids. Remember?"

The blonde sighs "I just dont want you. I need you. I know I couldn't just possibly say I fell in love with you this instance. Maybe... I fell along time ago without realizing it" he muttered.

"I know James. I do too. But--"

But James had cut her off mid-sentence "So what? Didn't you see Eros with Anangee? They're the highest Cupids! So why shouldn't we be together as well? If the boss themselves has someone special?"

"James please. Don't get me started." She muttered, not wanting to argue with him. "Jaiden-"

"JAMES. It's against the rules. Besides. Cupid is the founder of love. Not us. We're just his little army of match-makers. He expects us to create couples for him, as he does his own things... We're not there to find love and get distracted with each other. We WORK." Then she burried her face in between her knees.

In the corner of Jaiden's eye, she found James standing up on the wall."J-james?" She stammered, as her eyes fell on his clenched fists.

"Weren't you the one who said... If you love someone, you better take the risk just to get to them? "James repeated what she quoted.

Jaiden was caught guilty, but had an excuse out of her sleeves "It does not apply to us James. Because--"

"Stop with that damn cupid thing" he demanded "Would it make you happy if you weren't a cupid right now, just to find your one?" He questioned.

This left her speechless. Would she really give up her work for him? It's not like she doesn't enjoy his company... It's just... What would she does if she were a human?

Somehow, she was thankful she had escaped reality. Thankful she wasn't born to be a human child, to be raised on Earth, and got through harsh situations. Instead, had just worked for one of the Gods. But the only exception was... She couldn't love anyone.

She may have escaped the ringing constant judgements that people do nowadays, she heard. But what about love? Eros used to quote that Love is the most beautiful thing in the world. Therefore, no one could go through without falling.

Sure there may be single people that grew old without a partner. But some point in their life... They had loved or adored someone in ther life atleast.

"I..." she trailed off. "I got to go." She said, as she flew away back to the heavens. James looked up to see her flying. He did not bother to consult her. He knows she needs a time off for herself. So, with that...

He called it a day, and flew meters away from her. When they slowly ascended, the night slowly faded into day. The temperature drastically changed. The sun became larger and larger.

The first gate of heaven opened magically for the two. The whole trip back to the ninth cloud was very silent. No one really bothered to speak a thing.

As the golden gate of the ninth cloud, where there is a heart encarved in it, along with swirls beside it, opened. Jaiden made a dash to the building.

James sighed as he went slowly to his newly made office. Their next shift isn't up until five hours.

The bell rung. James and Jaiden knew it was their shift once more. So without another question. They went out of their separate offices.

After the last gate opened once more. The two flew down to Earth once more. Jaiden's next destination was in Hawaii. She expected James to fly away somewhere than Hawaii.

To her surprise... He followed.

"Why are you following me?" She questioned, in a surprised way. The brunette was shocked, she thought that he was mad at her...

James just chuckled "I don't mind exploring the world with you. Doesn't mean you rejected me, means I should stop hanging around with you" he replies with a smile.

Somehow, this earned James a blush from Jaiden. She looked the other way to hide her blush "U-uh... Yeah... S-sure" she says, as they continued to fly to Hawaii.

After passing by the Pacific Ocean, land greeted them. Palm trees were now more abundant. Seagulls were too. The waves were more wild than ever. They were more energetic than the previous ones.

There were people at the bay, swimming with families, friends, or their loved ones, and just having absolute fun under the sun.

Jaiden smiled upon hearing the laughter. She recognizes one family by the bay. It was the couple she paired seven years ago, and here they were. Going strong, with now two children who are very happy and healthy physically, emotionally, and mentally.

As they pass the family she paired yeara ago, they went to sit on the sandy floor unnoticed. "Time to make more couples" James said, cracking his knuckles then in the act of doing that so, he went to watch the people attentively.

Jaiden was still quite shocked at how James was... Okay after five hours. How did he possibly get to move on so easily? And moreover,he was here beside her! Unaffected with what she had done last night!

She've seen lots of rejections before, and usually, they end up not talking, or even cutting their friendship off. It's quite rare for anyone to stay after a denial of return a feeling.

But... How. Could. HE?! "Jaiden?" He called out, as this snapped her out of her thought "Uh.. Y-yeah?" She replies, still in the process of making her way back to reality.

"Are you okay? You seem to be troubled there..." he muttered, loud enough for her to hear. Concern and worried was in his voice.

It had somehow warmed her heart upon hearing. "A-ah... Yes. Just... Remembered a couple who broke..." she lied through her teeth. Although, unfortunately for her, James wasn't convinced.

"You're lying~" he replied with a tone of humor in it. "N-no I'm not!!" She answers, and in the act of that, a blush appeared on her cheeks.

James just continued to smirk. Jaiden gave up as she playfully smacked James' shoulder "Alright, you got me" she laughed, then sighs.

"It's just... How are you so cool being around me after I... Rejected you? You deserve a better friend or... Partner perhaps."

He sticked with you because he has no other choice. Who would he come with?

Oh right.

No one. You two are the only Agapius Cupids...

James then removed a strand of her hair on her face, and tucked it behind her ear "Why would I stay furious at you? Besides. I was never mad at you to start off with. And to add to that, you're my best friend. It's better than nothing" he explains.

At that point, Jaiden began to blush. Although, it's much redder and noticeable. James began to snicker, which got Jaiden wondering "W-why are you laughing?!" She whined like a little child.

"Hehe, it's just... You're blushing. Why's that?" He interrogated. Jaiden's eyes were wider than distance "J-JAMES!!" She yelled, which got the male beside her, laughing.

"Okay! Okay! I'll stop pressing your buttons... Beep! It's just you're cute when you blush" he remarked, then turned his attention to the people that needs to be shipped.

Jaiden sat there silently, when James ha said "I'll just find another spot. I can't find this spark feeling in any of these people. Plus, there's only a few single people here. Call me when you need me" he says, gesturing a 'phone' with his hands, then flew away.

Love is unconditional.

You take risks to get to your love.

The female Agapius Cupid repeated these in her head. Then, she finally realized what love really was. And... Felt James' love were true.

It was such a surreal feeling...

She loved it.

"JAAAAAAAMESSSSSS" she yelled, as she began to flutter her feathery wings to wherever he could be in this island.

She yelled his name repeatedly, and without realizing it... She had bumped into him. "Ah Jaiden! W-what's wrong?" He asked nervously.

"I-i have to tell you something" she muttered quietly. James hummed a question, as Jaiden bravely looked up at him.

"Y-y'know... You're right. If Eros and Anangee, the top cupids could love... Then why can't we?" She says, as a smile slowly crept onto her lips.

Then, slowly... Their lips inched closer. And closer...

Until...

It had touched. They were hand in hand; lips locked; eyes closed. The feeling was beautiful, heavenly, one of a kind. It was... Blissful.
