"Why haven't you visited me before, Cassie?" Sirius Black asked, his voice no more than a hoarse whisper.
"I was scared you wouldn't be you anymore. I was scared that Askaban had broken you," Cassandra explained softly.
"With the thought that I am innocent, I cannot be broken." Suddenly, he took her face in his hands and kissed her. Despite the fact that it was through the prison bars, she was so glad to feel his touch again.
Hogwarts
"How did your Askaban visit go?" Severus asked Cassie that night.
"It upsets me so much to see him in there when I know he is innocent," she said softly. "I'm just glad you changed to the right side earlier so you didn't end up in there too."
Summer at The Burrow
"Thank you Mrs. Weasley, for letting me stay here while Harry is here," Cassandra told Molly Weasley early one morning, before the children were awake.
"You're very welcome dear. The boy needs as much caring family near him as possible," Molly replied. "Bars on his window! I say, how could anyone do such a thing to a child?"
"They're horrible people. Despite the fact I live next door, Dumbledore will not let him stay with me."
"I have never claimed to understand that man. His choices often don't make sense until long after the fact."
The two women heard a set of footsteps running down the stairs.
"That'll be my youngest, Ginny," Molly said. "She's the only one who will get up without being spoken to about it."
The young red-headed girl stopped short when she saw the stranger in the kitchen.
"Mum?" She asked. "Who is that?"
"This is Harry's aunt from his father's side. She'll be staying with us while Harry is here."
"I'm also the new therapist at Hogwarts," Cassandra added, smiling at the girl. "Dumbledore recently added the position."
Without another word, Ginny ran off, back to her room.
"Cassie, dear, can you do me a favor?" Molly requested of her guest. "This year Ginny starts school. Could you keep an eye on her and try to get her to talk to you? Over the last year or so she has become rather... secluded. I fear it may be from having so many brothers."
"Of course Molly, anything. She seems wonderful."
"Oh, and you didn't hear it from me," Mrs. Weasley added at a whisper, "But she has quite the fancy for Harry."
