Edward Kenway Point of view
Ah Tabai: "Captain Kenway, you have remarkable skills."
Ah Tabai appeared from behind, along with the other Assassins that I rescued earlier. I gave James his spyglass, and James had the look that he was not pleased with me.

Edward: "Well thanks mate,it comes natural from a pirate like me."
I scoffed, and walked up to the leader of the Assassin brotherhood.
Ah Tabai: "But I have not still forgiven you, from the maps that you have sold to the Templar's."
He crossed his arms, and gave me a stern look.

Edward: "Like I said before, money was my only aim of my goal."
I said in a cocky manner, as I twirled the locks of my blonde hair.
James: "Always thinking for yourself, Edward!" "Just get the bloody hell, outa here!"
James growled, as he walked away from the rest of the group.

The look of concern came over me, and I immediately made my way over to him.
Edward: "Jim stop, there's no need to get angry." "You know that I do not wish to become an Assassin at all."
I spoke truthfully, to him. James turned around, and he crossed his arms.

James: "there you are Kenway, always thinking for yourself." "You knew that I was an Assassin, I told ya everything, and you ended up selling the maps to the Templar's."
He threw his hands in the air, and I sighed and placed my hands on my hips. I felt guilty for doing that to James, we both always had some sort of attraction to each other.

We shared a few kisses, mostly because we where drunk but we did care for each other.

Y/N: "look James, I did not knew they were Templar's at first." "Until, you Assassin mates told me they were Templar's."
I reasoned with him, James scoffed and looked away from me.
James: "Of course you do, look... Kenway I know your real reason of why you want to be rich-."
I cut him off, and held my hands to silence him.

Edward: "I just want a decent life for me, and my sister we are both poor farmers." "I know you understand my pain, James." "But, I'll, make a deal with ya Kidd."
I said I motioned James, to sit next to me by the tree. James sat down softly next to me and huffed.

James: "I'm so tired of your shit, Edward!" "What bloody deal ya want to make, how you are going to use the Assassins to become rich now!"
He yelled into my right ear, I scowled and frowned at him.

Edward: "Calm down James, no need to get your breeches in a twist." "Give me a week or two, and I will reclaim your maps, so it will prevent any other future attacks happening to your assassins mates."

I held my hand out to him, and James furrowed his eyebrows confused or shocked of the words that came out of my mouth. He looked at my hand and back at me, for a few times unsure what to do.

James: "Deal, and if you fail to recapture the maps, then I will have to mentor you into Assassin brotherhood for 6 months, whether you like it or not?"
I laughed out loud, and nodded my head at this.

Edward: "Deal James, anyways I'll best be off before I get attacked by the assassins again."
I stood up, and dusted off my breeches, James looked at me with a puzzled gaze. I smirked and decided to tease him, like how we both normally do.

Edward: "don't miss me James, I can tell from the look on your face that you are already missing me."

I winked at him, and began to walk off, but James spoke up.
James: "you want another kiss from me again Kenway, you'll have to wait until we are both drunk again."
I stopped in my tracks and, glanced over my shoulder to see James grinning and winking at me back and went the opposite way.

One Week Later
Edward: "Here are all of you maps, that I have given to the Templar's."
I said calmly, and I placed the maps onto the centre of the table. In front of all of the assassins, who where gob smacked of what I have done.
Ah Tabai: "I do not understand, why did you do this?" "Also, just because you returned the maps doesn't mean you will get money from us... or from James."

Spoke Ah Tabai, as he flicked through the maps to make sure that I have retrieved all of them. I was in no mood for any sarcastic remarks I shook my head.
Edward: "No it is nothing like that at all, although there was another reason why I came here to Tulum."

I looked down at my feet in shame, I was not that same person when I last came here. I could tell from the look of Ah Tabai and James that I had a sad look on my face.

My eyes, were red from the amount of tears that were spilling out of my eyes earlier on.
James: "um then what is your real reason Kenway?"
James asked me, his eyes narrowed at me. His finger rested on his chin, and his expression was stiff.

Edward: "I finally realised that my path for greed, was the wrong path for me." "Although the only way, I was going to learn is the hard way, can you please help me guide me to the right path."
I told them softly, I sounded so helpless.

James walked to my side and he held both of my shoulders.
James: "tell me, you ain't drunk at all Kenway?"
He asked and pointed his finger at me with a baffled look on his face.

I shook my head, and I walked up to Ah Tabai the leader of the Assassin brotherhood.
Edward: "No I'm not drunk, I've come here to you all with a clear sense." "I know that you all hate me, and I can not blame you for that."

I said hopelessly, I rubbed my eyes and signed. Ah Tabai had the look of fest curiosity, he looked at James and back at me. He placed his hands, behind his back and said.
Ah Tabai: "judging from your voice, it seems that you have suffered great loss."

I looked back at him in shock, this man could read people like a book. I nodded my head, the pain in my voice is going to appear from my mouth.

Edward: "it's true, for many years I've been stealing from all sorts of people." "And not giving a second thought, of what harm it could bring in the future." "That's what happened, I targeted the Templar's, but the outcome of my selfish act, lead to the Templar's tracking my family... and the cause of my sister death."

My voice began to break, and I looked up the sky and took a deep breath. Thinking that, my sister would be at peace and away from the cruel world. I looked back, at Ah Tabai and James, they both where unsure of what to say back.

Edward: "James, you once said to me that I still have the chance, to do good by your side.. and I believe now is the right time for me."                                                                                                                           
I spoke softly, both men looked at each other and James gave a look to Ah Tabai to give me a second chance. Ah Tabai signed, and he motioned James to follow him.

Ah Tabai: "I will need to discuss your situation, with the other assassins." "And see whether you will able to join our cause, James come with me."
Ah Tabai, motioned James over to him and they walked away from me.

For the past few moments, I paced back and forth in the same spot where they left me. Until I saw, James and Ah Tabai approach me.
Ah Tabai: "we have come to our final decision, we will allow you to join the brotherhood." "But, it would take more than a few missions to call yourself, a true assassin Edward."

I signed with joy, and I nodded my head in respect to thank him.
Edward: "thank you sir, I will rest here for the time being." "But I must say sir, there must have been a lot of disagreements about me joining your cause."

I told him, Ah Tabai smiled and looked at James as he was grinning at me.
Ah Tabai: "yes there was a lot of disagreements with, the other assassins." "But, James was the only one who fought on your side."

James puffed up his chest, and crossed his arms in a cocky manner. I gave him a grateful look, and patted his shoulder.
James: "Also, before ya thank me, Ah Tabai decided that I will be your mentor if you are going to know your way to the Assassins.. do you understand Kenway?"

He mocked, at me but I was perfectly happy with this idea.
Edward: "I understand James, thank you this time I won't disappoint you all."
I assured them, Ah Tabai dismissed us and left me and James alone.

James then began to take me, to his hut, and we both sat down on the grass together. I looked up at the sky, watching the starts twinkle in a comfortable silence. I felt James eyes on me, and he looked at me in awe.
Edward: "what's the matter, James Kenway got your tongue?"

I teased him, but my voice was quite and soft. I'm still not over my sister death, and I think James could sense it too.
James: "well yes, I'm just proud of ya that you finally joined our course." "I know, that your not over your sister death and I'm sorry for your great loss."

He told me, James placed his hand on my knee. In a way, of comforting me, I messed with my fingers and looked at a concerned James.

Edward: "cheers James, the death of my sister made me realise... the consequences of taking the path of greed." "I've seen how much, damage the Templar's can cause which makes them a great threat." "So, in time I will one day I will be and assassin and follow the way into the creed."

James chuckled, and I grabbed his hand and I scoffed closer to him.
James: "jaysus ya, definitely ain't drunk I guess I'm still the winner in this deal."
He reminded me, which is true James supposed to mentor me if I lost the bet.
Edward: "Actually we are both winners, if I remember I still bought back all of the maps."

I traced his scar with my finger, and James shivered with my touch.
James: "aye I do, but remember Kenway you still have to learn and listen to my every word as my student."
He pressed a soft kiss on my finger, and he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. So, my body was leaning against his.

Edward: "I think I can live with that James, we both can handle each other." "The student fancies the mentor, now that's something new for us, don't ya think?"
I questioned him, I then gave him several peck on the cheek.

He groaned and cupped both sides, of my cheeks and he stared at me with mixture of lust and love.
James: "aye, the mentor fancies the student."
I felt James got breath on my lips, and we both crashed our lips together.

I pushed James down onto the smooth dry grass, and he climbed on top of him and I kissed him again.
James: "I think I'm in love with ya Kenway."
He panted, our noses were touching each other.

I chuckled and wrapped my arms around his head. While I messed, with his bandana.
Edward: "considering that we both are not drunk, I can say that I love ya too James." "I couldn't picture myself with anybody, but you."
I spoke truthfully, he smiled and grabbed my head, and pulled me in for another heated kiss.
