~20~

As the days were passing by Shira was slowly recovering and with her strength gradually growing to its original state,  her hair started to go back to the red shade on the roots. Nobody knew what was up with it and why does it constantly changes colours, but as long as it didn't affect her health nobody cared. All the while her bestie monitored her constantly. Ever since she started to do crazy and stupid things on her own, without consulting the brown-haired woman, Ashley had to keep an eye on her without a break, if she wanted her friend to survive the following days.
Not everything was so boring though. The group quite enjoyed living together for the next month. It gave them a chance to get closer, also nobody can argue with the fact that the break from school worked really well on their mental health. Speaking of which... The days of their freedom were slowly coming to an end, if the teenage part of the group wanted to pass the year. They had to go back, especially Shira who had twice the absence as her two friends. They already consulted their teacher. If they don't come to school next week, they'll be expelled. Scared of going through the pain of exams to get accepted again made them silent and not argue anymore.

The preparation process was kind of silent and awkward. Todoroki was quiet as usual with a little bit of sadness and annoyance. He felt relaxed during this break and the thought of going back to his home, the household where this creature called his father lived made his stomach twist.  Shira could swear on her favourite band that one time when she was passing through the halls she heard him mutter to himself about dropping out, moving out and work for the organization with Ashley. So there are two explanations, one is that he hates his father with all his might or he's just madly in love. Maybe both.
Bakugou on the other hand was just himself. Nothing more than walking around like an angry boom boom boy on his period. But there was one thing nobody could argue about. That boy had bloody good skill in cooking. No thoughts just heavenly bliss. So at least for past month every one was eating healthy and at the same time tasty food.

On the agreed meeting time, Ashley drove the saint trio to UA. Aizawa was already waiting at the main gate. Just as Shira was about to step out of the car she felt chills running down her spine. She knew exactly what was coming for her.

- Good luck, loser. - and with that Ashley left them alone.
-Thanks... I'm gonna need it... - Shira breathed under her nose. Glancing upon her teacher she saw the stern expression he was wearing and knew she was done for. Regardless, she went confidently toward the old man.
- Aizawa. - Her voice didn't contain any fear, nor hesitance.
- Clarity. - he responded with the exact same attitude. The atmosphere was so tense it could be easily cut with a knife. Bakugou seeing the scene breathed out a heavy sigh of awkwardness and stepped back a little. Todoroki followed soon after.
- Care to explain yourself? - teacher's voice sounded empty, but his expression gave away he wanted to hear the whole story.
- Not really. My private business in none of your concern. - with that statement she went past him, towards the building. Bakugou did a mental facepalm, knowing damn well what was about to happen. Even he knew this isn't a good time to be sassy bitch.
- It is since I'm your legal guardian. - this. THIS! Is what made everyone silent. Shira stopped in her tracks, her face winded in shock. Todoroki looked at Bakugou, lost, hoping he would explain, but the classmate was just as surprised as he was. His jaw slightly opened and eyes opened wide.
- What...? - Shira slowly turned to face him – Since fucking when?! - her shock was turning into anger.
- Since the time you moved in. You signed the papers, don't you remember? - the teacher reminded her, slightly surprised she wasn't aware. Shira thought about it for a second. She remembers signing some shit, but she thought it was just a consent to being constantly observed and controlled by the heroes. She did a mental note to always read thoroughly everything she was about to sign.
- And what if I didn't sing it that day? - she didn't let herself look too surprised, as if she knew what he was talking about.
- You're not an adult yet. It was either this or the orphanage. - he stated.
- So you got your answer. I didn't have a choice if I wanted to live somewhat a normal life. - her anger was rising – Not like anyone is making it easy. Why is that everyone is-

WREAK HAVOC

The voice appeared again. Shira froze instantly, not even trying to finish the sentence. The people around looked at her with confusion in their eyes.

COME ON! DO IT!

- Shira...? - Bakugou was the first one to notice something was wrong. He put his bag down and walked up to her. - What's up? - he placed his hands on her shoulders and looked her deeply in the eyes, concerned.
- Nothing. -  she glued her gaze to the ground, trying to avoid eye contact – It's just... I'm a little shocked and embarrassed about my lack of interest in serious matters, heh. - she laughed trying to ease the atmosphere a little.
- Bullshit. - it obviously didn't work on him – Will ya tell me, or do I have to force it out of you? - his brows narrowed with annoyance.
- Not in public. - she groaned, defeated.
- Fine. Call me later. - as soon as the short conversation was over, Bakugou picked up his bag, said his goodbyes along with Todoroki. Aizawa saw that they were alive and fine so there was no need to stop them from going home. So they did.
- Let's go home, we'll talk there. - Shira just nodded at his statement and followed him home.

The car ride was awfully awkward. None of them said a word to each other. Aizawa was relaxed but didn't know how to start conversation. Shira on the other hand started to stress out if she was gonna go to jail. Her legal position was already non-existent and now that she ran from the law enforcements... Those actions are bound to have some serious consequences.
As they entered the apartment Shira managed to get the courage inside herself ho finally ask the question.

- Am I going to jail? - her head was lowered, as she didn't want him to see her fear.
- Hm? - he raised his brows, surprised at the question – No, why would you? - his answer contained another question. He was genuinely surprised, that the girl was worried about that.
- I broke the rules, ran away while being under observation and have a criminal past. Isn't that enough to cross the line? - she was fidgeting her fingers out of stress.
- Hmm, I don't know anything abut your "criminal" past, nor is there anything in your records. Running away is a typical thing teenagers do, so as far as I'm concerned you were just being rebellious. Meaning there is no reason for putting you in prison. - the answer made Shira's eyes lit up.
- Which doesn't mean your not grounded, young lady. - and here we go again. His voice came back to its usual bored, tired tone, nevertheless his face looked exactly like the one of a father scolding its child – Now go to your room, the dinner will be ready in an hour. - Shira groaned really loudly, exaggerating how unpleasant that was for her. In reality it wasn't. Deep down she was extremely happy, that things were gong to be just as usual.
- Thank you, really. - her words were filled with pure honesty and gratitude. A soft smile appeared on her face as she left the room. This kind of warmth she felt in her chest was foreign but pleasant. That was the firs time in her life she ever felt welcomed. Sincerely welcomed.

When Shira entered her room she was content to find everything in its usual place. Well except for the window. It was repaired, with one major difference. It can now be open and closed freely.  As a typical teenager she was, the first thing she did after entering was take her phone and lay down on the bed. She had a huge amount of unread messages and missed calls. Mostly from Ashley and Bakugou. She smiled to herself and cleared all the notifications, as there was no point in replaying to them, now that they are aware of everything. Although, she should probably let Ashley know she wasn't going to get locked up. Therefore she did. I didn't take long before she got the reply. Just a thumbs up. Few seconds later another message appeared. "Have fun with your bf, remember to be safe. I don't want to become an auntie" Shira's cheeks redden at just the thought of what her friend meant. She quickly replied with some silly answer, before she put the phone down. For the most of her left free time she just laid in bed and stare at the ceiling, deep in thought.
She had no idea when, but eventually she obviously fell asleep. Therefore, unfortunately slept past the dinner time. Aizawa let that slip just this one time, so it went without brutal waking. He just casually barged into the room and played a trumpet sound on his phone. On max volume. Right next to her ear. The way she violently jumped out of her bed, spinning in every direction holding the guard, ready to fight was hilarious.

- Now that you're awake, come eat. - he stated, unfazed by her ministrations.
- You mother-
- Watch it. - he interrupted her before she could finish.
- You could've just shake me or call me. That've been enough – her voice was raspy after just waking up.
- This way is way more efficient. - he countered.
- I guess so... - in the next following minutes they quietly went to the dining room and started consuming dinner.
- Be ready for school tomorrow. - Aizawa said in between bites, which made Shira choke on her food.
- So quick?? -  her face suddenly paled – Oh no.. How many exams have I missed? - she asked hesitantly.
- Too many. - his gaze never left his plate – But don't worry I'll give you some time to catch up. -
- Thanks – she retorted – Like that's gonna help... You can as well fail me now, save yourself the troubles. -
- We'll see about that. - at last he put down his fork and looked at the girl. - Are you finally gonna tell me what happened? Why the hell were you fighting with Overhaul? - he seemed a little tense mentioning this name.
- Fighting with who? - let's not forget Shira, although she spied on the guy for a long period of time, had actually no idea who in fact he was.
- Seriously? - he raised his brow. Seeing Shira's puzzled expression he gave out a heavy sigh – You were caught on camera fighting with him. It was transmitted live. - he tried to remind her.
- Ohhhhh..., the crazy scientist. -
- There we go... -
-Yeah, he pissed me off. - she shrugged her shoulders like it was something obvious.
- And that's it? -
- No. Ugh... Let's just say he wanted to use me in his psychotic experiments and at some point I might have lost control over myself and remember nothing of the battle. - she covered her face with her hand out of embarrassment. There was no answer from Aizawa's side. He just sat there, partly shocked, partly surprised and partly angry.
-  Well... - he cleared his throat – I'm glad you came back safe. - the answer wasn't honest and they both knew it. Shota's head was filled with questions that needed explanation immediately, but he was aware that pushing it wouldn't be effective.
- Looks like we have something new to work on at training. Do you at least know what it is? -
- To be honest... - she sat there silently for a minute, thinking if she should tell him or not – No. I have no idea. -
- I understand. Well, if any- his statement was interrupted by his phone ringing. He looked at the screen annoyed, before picking up. He got up and went a few steps away from the table for some privacy.

- Yes?  ... Yeah I know...   Wasn't he supposed to come next week? ... Understand. ... Yeah I have his documents here. ... Okay... Okay... Bye. - the call ended.
- Who was it? - Shira asked curiously, also happy about the chance for a topic change.
- Principal Nezu. -
- About? -
- Why so nosy all of sudden? - he raised his brow.
- Oh come on... Don' be so mysterious and tell me. - he let out a heavy sigh, placing his hands on his hips.
- We have a student transferring here. He was supposed to come next week, but something changed and he'll be here tomorrow. - Shira rolled her eyes, bored.

Next day at school was normal so far. Looks like all the students stopped caring about Shira, so nobody bothered her any more. Of course new problem appeared, she was very behind with the studies and it was strongly visible. Bakugou was laughing at her confused face during English. Strangely, he wasn't asking about her odd behaviour the previous day. Just yet. Maybe he was giving her some time to get used to the normal life again. I guess we will never know.
As the day went by, so did the lessons and finally it was time for maths. Means the lesson with Aizawa. So that was finally the time for the new student. As all the pupils got seated, the supervising teacher came in with some papers in hand. Shortly after him was a red haired, tall boy with bright blue eyes. His face had delicate, innocent features. He looked like a nice, approachable, friendly pussy.

- So, students... This is your new classmate who transferred. Introduce yourself. - Aizawa announced in his usual bored tone.
- Hello! My name is Shane Roseville, nice to meed you all! - he bowed vigorously. There was a wide smile plastered on his face. Shira's face paled hearing his surname. Chisaki called her by that last name.
- Go sit in the free seat in  the back. - he did as he was told – Lets start wit the lesson now. -

Shira couldn't focus, no matter how hard she tried. All she could think about was the mysterious boy who had the same hair colour as her.  From time to time she spared him a glance and he caught her every single time, always responding with a friendly smile and enthusiastic wave.  After the bell rang, she quickly got up from her seat and went towards Bakugou.

- I need your help. - she was straight-forward.
- Is it gonna get us in trouble? - he didn't even look at her. His focus was on packing his stuff.
- Noooo – he finally looked at her with one brow raised.
- That didn't sound too convincing, but I'm gonna ignore that detail. Tell me. -
- The new kid. He's-
- I'm what? -
- Wahgh! - the boy appeared behind Shira out of nowhere – Bro, give us a heads up next time you're gonna sneak up on us! - she scolded him.
- But where is the fun in that? - his response was purely rhetorical.
- I can provide you fun by blasting you the fuck out of here, how about that?! - there we go with his calmness. He started to look for a fight again.
- Babe, what did I tell you about screaming at random people? - she placed her hands on her hips in a scolding matter.
- Hey! I'm not some random! I'm your classmate. - for some reason he looked proud about that fact.
- Oh yeah? What was your name again, dipshit? - the smirk on blonds face gave out he was up to no good.
- It's Shane. S-H-A-N-E. Not dipshit. - the black haired woman let out a disappointed sigh, knowing what's gonna happen next
- Now that I know your name... So you are not a "random" – this words were spoken more towards Shira than Shane – GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE BEFORE I MAKE IT GO BOOM!!
- Jeez, sis. You got yourself a pretty bad-tempered boyfriend, huh? - he looked kind of disgusted and concerned at the same time.
- Yo, aren't you getting a little too comfortable? - she looked him up and down, while holding Bakugou in place.
- Hm? What do you mean? - he looked genuinely taken aback, but then realization took over his face – Ohhhhh... Yeah, I forgot you probably don't remember me. - he let out a chuckle, letting his head down.
- Maybe I should properly introduce myself – the big smile appeared again – Hello Sheerain, I'm Shane Roseville, your younger twin brother. - his eyes were soft, filled with happiness.

Both Shira and Bakugou froze in their steps. What they just heard caught them totally off guard. None of them saw that coming. Shiras head was a mess right now. She tried to process everything he just said. No matter how much she didn't want to believe in that, it just makes sense. The last name, hair colour, eye colour, straight-forward way of acting. But there was one way she could test him.

- What's your quirk? - she finally let out after some time.
- It's Damon – his eyes suddenly shone bright red and fire-like horns appeared on his head. His friendly smile changed into psychotic one. Out of nowhere he seemed like a totally different person.   The creature inside Shira reacted quickly. Her eyes changed into glowing light blue and same horns appeared. What was weird, her hair came back to its red colour in an instant.
- Hello, sister. Long time no see. - his voice also changed. It was much deeper, angrier. - Why are you blue? - he asked after taking a closer look, but he was left without a response. Gradually his horns retreated and eyes came back to its natural colour, same goes for Shira. During this whole time she stood there without moving or saying anything. Bakugou also looked confused.
- What the fuck just happened? - the blond was the first one to speak.
- You ARE my brother... - Shira was just looking at Shane, still in shock.
- Yea, of course I am. Otherwise your demon wouldn't respond to mine, they're connected after all. - he said it like its nothing.
- What do you mean demon? Connected? I'm lost. - Shira grabbed her head and started breathing unevenly.
- Hey, hey, hey... - Bakugou quickly got up from his seat and grabbed her shoulders – Look at me. Deep breaths... - but her attempt failed. She was too anxious to thing rationally – C'mon do it with me... In... - she was looking him in the eye, as she followed his actions – And out... Again, in... And out... - as she was slowly calming down, Bakugou's expression changed from concerned to pissed of.
- You've got some fucking explanation to do. - his voice was filled with venom towards Shane.
- You didn't know? - he was puzzled by their reaction. He was sure Shira is perfectly aware of the whole situation. It would never occur to him that she didn't know about his existence, nor about her own quirk.
-During this years you've never made peace with her? -
- With whom? - Shiras voice was still shaky. Her mind was trying to process all the information.
- The demon inside. They are our quirks, we have them since birth. I've been talking with mine since I learned how to speak. Why didn't you? - he was truly confused.
- My only ability was to control fire. Nothing more. -
- That's strange. It looks like it has been asleep somehow. -
- Wait... If you are my brother... How are you alive? I thought everyone died that night. Where were you this whole time? Why did you never look for me? - there was anger and aggressiveness in her voice.
- We did... - he let out a heavy sigh – I wasn't at home the time it happened. I was in the hospital with high fever. I was this type of a kid to get sick quite often, heh – he let out a chuckle – For some reason I remember that day. Mom was at work and Dad was with me. He got a phone call from the kindergarten. Apparently you started a fight with another kid over something irrelevant and refused to calm down. He had no other choice than to go pick you up. He promised to come back as soon as mom came home to take care of you. That was the last time I saw him. Few days later one of the nurses told me he won't come back. Ever. The police looked for you for over a year. As a sick kid there wasn't much I could do. I grew up thinking you were dead. I would never think... -
- How come you suddenly show up here and claim to be my brother?! - there were tears streaming down her face. With the help of his story she also managed to remember that day.

She remembered the fight with the kid over the dessert. The bastard tried to stole her ice-cream, saying woman don't need sweet things because they're supposed to be skinny, so she put him in his place. She remembers getting scolded by the teacher. She remembers her dad laughing, hearing the story. She remembers him praising her and even encouraging her to continue this behaviour.

- I saw you on the TV about two months ago or so. Thanks to Damon I was able to recognise you, or should I say he recognised his sister. The one inside you. The past months I spend looking for you. I managed to find that you go by Shira Clarity and are a student of U.A. Academy on a hero course. So I moved here to come to you. To finally be with you. So we can be twins again. - he was so happy saying this. He wanted to go for a hug but Bakugu blocked him.
- Am I the only one who finds this story suspicious? - he exclaimed – Shira, do you believe him? -
- Not entirely. I don't trust him. What he says is not impossible, but I'm still finding it hard to just believe. - Shane was kind of hurt by her words, however he understood. It's not everyday that someone just pops up in your life claiming he's your twin.
-Do you have any other way of proving yourself? - Shira was at leat trying to be rational.
- Yea, your real name is Sheerain Roseville, you were born 13th of March 2003. You are 18 years old. Your quirk is The Demon, but it turns out it was asleep so Fire Manipulation, you also have another quirk – Floating, you got it from our dad. - those information didn't seem to convince the two teenagers – Oh! And I also have a photo of as together as kids. - he went back to his desk and started searching through his bag.

After a minute he came back with some old photo, which he handed to Shira. On the photo was two babies sleeping. The boy was curled up in a ball on the side of a bed, hugging his toy, the girl on the other hand was all over the bed. Her legs in weird position and her hands spread wide, taking all the space. She was snoring and there was saliva leaking from her mouth.

- That's definitely not us. Those babies have black hair. - she countered.
- Yes, but that's because back then our quirks haven't manifested yet. After they appeared our hair turned red. It's kind of a symbol of their existence as well as their strength. When they are in a bad condition or we are, our hair lose the colour and go black, but when we heal and recover they go back to red. What just happened few minutes ago, after I showed you my partner is that they connected. As twins they have a special connection and can heal each other, communicate and all this stuff. - he finally finished his monologue.
- That is fucked up. - Bakugou was lost and felt uneasy. This whole connected demons part was so weird to him it almost freaked him out.
- Kind of, but you get used to it, heh. - Shane was tense. He didn't know what to expect now – I can teach you everything. I can guide you and help you get on good terms with yours. - by finding a way to help his long lost sister he found a way to get closer and make bond, finally reunite, which made him abnormally happy.
- Where were you all those years? -  Shiras tone softened.
- I grew up in an orphanage. Then found a job and started living on my own. - It sounded quite familiar to Shiras story.
- Fine. I'll let you teach me. - she conceded after some time of silence. Bakugou looked at her, shocked she's letting him but didn't say anything.
- Omg, YES! You won't be disappointed I promise. - and with that the bell rang, informing it's time to start the next lesson. Shane went back to his seat and whole class started filling with students.
- He's kind of sus, let's keep an eye on him. - Shira said to her boyfriend when she made sure no one is listening to them.
- And here I thought you're getting soft. - he smirked at her.
- Never – she gave him back the same sneaky smirk, before the realization took over her. Now she looked like someone just killed her cat.
- What now? - Bakugou rolled his eyes.
- We just missed the lunch break... My food... - and so they sat there hungry for the rest of the day.
