~Prologue~

Ella POV

For years I've trained for this, learned everything I could while on earth along with Tom.. however after he died exactly one week before we were set to leave to what would change our lives his life was taken away. Now Jake will take his position as a rider. It's been five years.. but it doesn't feel like it, more like you just had too much to drink and then got yourself beat up.

They had divided Jake and me so we weren't exactly on the same area but we were arriving the same day and same time. I got off and look around smiling, this place is beautiful. I feel eyes on me as I walk  inside quickly and as I'm making my way to the science lab, after an 'amazing' speech of one of the military leaders, I found Norm and Jake speaking.

"I'm sorry, I'm Norm. Spellman. I went through avatar training with him." I hear him say as he extends his hand towards Jake.

"Well it's nice to you getting along." I say causing both of them to look at me.

"Ella." Both of them say surprised.

"Hey. Well they're waiting for us so let's go." I say smiling getting behind Jake.

"I can-" I cut him off by pushing him.

"I know." I say as we walk towards the lab or bio-lab.

"The bio-lab. We're gonna spend a lot of time here." Norm says as he continues speaking and I keep pushing Jake around until we saw the avatars.

"Wow.." I say walking closer to them admiring them.

"Hey welcome. Welcome to Pandora. Good to have you." One of the scientist say as I smile and Jake shakes his hand.

"They're amazing." I say walking to the one in front of us.

"Damn they got big." Jake says.

"Yeah. They fully mature on the flight out. So the proprioceptive sims seem to work really well." Norm says.

"Yeah, they've got great muscle tone. It'll take us a few hours to get them decanted, but you guys can take them out tomorrow. There's yours and yours is over there. I'm Dr. Max Patel by the way." He says as Jake walks to his and I walk to mine. She was beautiful. It looks like me to say the least yet so much bigger.

~Time Skip~ 

"Grace I'd like you to meet Norm Spellman, Ella Sully, and Jake Sully." Max says as we all look at Grace.

"Norm. I've heard great things about you. How's your Na'vi?" Grace asks.

"May the All mother.. smile upon our first meeting." Norm says in Na'vi as I smile a little.

"Not bad. You sound a little formal." Grace answers back.

"I studied for 5 years but there is still much to learn." Norm says back.

"Grace? These are Ella and Jake Sully." Max says getting her attention and her eyes land on my brother.

"Ma'am." Jake says extending his hand.

"Yeah, yeah. I know who you are and I don't need you. I need your brother. You know, the PhD who trained for three years for this mission?" Grace says making me raise a brow.

"He's dead. I know it's a big inconvenience for everyone." Jake answers back before I could.

"How much lab training have you had?" Grace asked.

"I dissected a frog once." I glare down at Jake I wonder if he's trying to get on her nerves on purpose.

"You see? You see? I mean they're just pissing on us without even the courtesy of calling it rain. I'm going to Selfridge." Grace says moving before I start speaking in Na'vi to her.

"I know this may seem as an inconvenience to you." I start causing her to stop and look at me as I walk towards her.

"But unlike you I lost my older brother. You just lost a small bit of help, I apologize for my brother's rudeness but you commenting on my older brother and his twin as if he was just an object and his life lost nothing but an inconvenience to you tends to bring out a different side of us. My brother may be an ex marine and a soldier but I can assure he can handle absolutely anything you throw his way. I ask that you please consider our feeling in the matter and the answer you will get if you do take this to the big man." I say without stopping or hesitating causing her to just stare at me.

"If he does something-" She started saying in Na'vi before I interrupt her.

"I will be at his side at all times if something happens I'll take responsibility and fix the problem to the best of my ability." I say before she looks at Jake then me.

"Be here tomorrow at 0800." She says before walking away and I look at Jake.

"You have to learn how to hold back sometimes." I say shaking my head at him.

"I bought you sometime at least, we have to be here at 0800 tomorrow. Please at least try and use big words Jake." I say with a chuckle.

~Next day~

"So how much link time have you logged?" Grace asks.

"Uh about 520 hours." Norm answers.

"That's good. You're in there." She says to him pointing to the link capsule.

"You're here." She points at the one I'll be using and I get on smiling.

"Let's go." I say as I lay down and they got everything they needed I saw light and then woke up again.. in my avatar.

"Ella.. Ella can you hear me?" I blink a few times as they flash a light to my eyes and I smile at them.

"Hey guys." I say as they snap fingers at my ears.

"Pinna response normal. How are you feeling Ella?" A man asked as I look at my hands smiling.

"Amazing." I say sitting up with no trouble.

"Can I stand up?" I ask.

"Are you feeling dizzy or nauseous at all?" They ask as I look at my tail smiling.

"No. I promise I'm ok it doesn't feel any different." I say getting up slowly for their benefit and standing up. Next thing I know Jake is running out the door.

"Uh-oh. Sorry guys but I have to follow him." I say taking everything off as quickly as I could before running after Jake.

"Jake! Jake you have to slow down a bit." I say laughing as he jumps sideways to not get hit by some machine.

"Be careful!" I call after him before catching up to him when he stopped.

"You really have to take things just a little bit slower." I say shaking my head.

"Hey Marine!" We hear before looking at the woman.

"Damn. Grace?" Jake asks as we look at her.

"Well who did you expect, numbnuts?" She says before ripping two fruits from a plant near by.

"Think fast." She says to both of us throwing the fruits at us as we catch them.

"Motor control's looking good." She says as we bite into the fruit before smiling, this tastes so good!
